Its all about the oil . That fool murdered sleep when he slaughtered ironsi and kept it under wraps for six months. Ojukwu was brave enough to demand outright explanations form them on that and what did he get in response ? A war against the ibos with gowon being used as the frontrunner ofthe northerners and now they have seen part of the handwriting on the walls and now he is screaming blue murder against the northern christians . Please is there anything like northern christians in nigeria .? No. We only know of a northern muslim and southern christian in nigeria

Tafawa Balewa’s Son Drops Presidential Ambition

The son of Nigeria’s former Prime Minister, Mr Abduljhalil Tafawa Balewa, has dropped his presidential ambition.

Mr Tafawa-Balewa announced his withdrawal from the presidential race after undergoing a screening by the party’s screening committee in Abuja.

Mr Tafawa-Balewa refused to entertain questions from journalists after announcing the withdrawal.

Earlier, President Goodluck Jonathan, who is now the sole candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in next years elections also appeared for screening by the party’s leadership, but refused to field questions from journalists on the outcome of the exercise.

Car Talk / Do Nigerian Drivers Ever Observe Zebra Crossings? by puppy2k(m): 6:59am On Nov 24, 2014
Do nigerian driver's ever observe zebra crossing signs and why the should at least slow down on getting to one ? I have seen many roads with painted zebra crossings signs here in lagos .imagine i was standing at the zebra crossing along the airport road hoping the cars would even slow down for me to cross .yet the rate with which these drivers zoom past the spot with the zebra crossing sign you would wonder if that spot is like a finish line to a race they began at home.

Point is dont risk your life o!!.

There is nothing like zebra crossing in naija.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Govt Explanation Unacceptable-south Africa by puppy2k(m): 8:19am On Sep 19, 2014
South Africa have really proven they are a hateful nation . What do you call a nation with a history of xenophobia against Nigerians. What do you call this kind of behaviour they are putting up if no be bad belle against Nigerians. Just read between the line and see the hate hitting 100% green on us all . MTN dey nigeria dey misbehave nobody dey give them stress . Nigeria business can thrive not in SA . Most of you must have forgotten so soon that during their apartheid era. It was mostly Nigerians that took the centre stage for the fight fight for the whites to give them freedom . That was not too long ago . Now even after their independence the same South African that our leaders took the steps of backing up were the first to throw the first stone by supporting the UN and US To sanction Nigeria. Guys check out history and know where we stand in all this.

Just imagining what it will be like if the south will come out and vote a yes or no either to remain in Nigeria or not . To govern their own self and manage their resources which the North has always claimed to be theirs despite threats of hunger peeling off the skins of the oil as they cant do without the North ? .. I just dream of the day the same YES and NO referendum will work here in Nigeria and not all this politicizing of the idea . This is the best way to achieve mainstream independence without any bloodshed. The Scottish would have gotten this this one on a platter of Gold . Please don't forget that this struggle for their independence has been on since 1707 . I wonder when the south of Nigeria will reach that level and carry out a referendum as this marriage called Nigeria doesn't seem to work anymore. Wit all the Boko Haram experiment .I wonder what will happen if ISIS should find their way up north of Nigeria ... Can the South survive this kind of test ?

One injured in fight among Nigerian nationals at Khirki Extension

The police in India have launched a hunt for the accused but have not been able to identify anyone

A 28-year-old Nigerian was injured in an alleged fight at Khirki Extension in South Delhi on Tuesday night.

The incident was reported around 4-30 p.m. from J Block area of Khirki Extension on Tuesday. A local resident made a call to the Police Control Room stating that a group of around 10 people were fighting in the main market of J Block.

“One of the locals gave us a call about a ruckus at J-Block area of Khirki Extension. They told us that some Nigerian nationals staying in the area were fighting with each other using batons and a meat cleaver. When we reached the spot, all of them had run away but the locals told us that around 10 people had indulged in the fight,” said a police officer.

“We found one of them lying injured in a pool of blood. We rushed him to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, his statement is yet to be recorded,” said a senior police officer.

The injured man was identified as Johnson (28) by the identification documents in his pocket.

“He had received multiple injuries on his body. All the injuries seem to have been inflicted with a baton,” the officer added. The police also recovered a meat cleaver and some knives from the spot.

Following the incident, the police launched a hunt for the accused but have not been able to identify anyone. “We have not been able to record the statement of the injured man. We are waiting for him to recover and will then identify the accused,” the senior police officer added.

According to the police, the exact reason behind the scuffle is yet to be ascertained but locals told investigating officers that the group was at a party in the same area when they started to argue among themselves. The argument escalated after which some of them went back home and brought weapons with them.
