Give the whole $110 million to Jonathan and every dime therein will be stolen by him and his gang of thieves just recently we all saw what happen in Maiduguri where a GOC was harrased lightly mark you same looting took place in Kano earlier on the general was quietly retired and he went away with his loot of around #200 million then the very latetest where a commisioner of police just this friday went sharing money to his policemen to engage in election rigging in Ede Oshun State giving spo's #50,000 inspectors and Rankand file #30,000 and some guys want Obama to give his tax payers to fund to continue that culture
I think Obamaa should not just remove Nigeria from the list but help expose where they launder those stolen funds!!

You just said it all.
overhypedsteve: why are you wasting your time trying to educate ignoramoses. Are you not happy that nigeria and its army is not placed under the control of a western sponsored peace keeping initiative. (how much is $110 mil) that we would want to subject our army to a western sponsored peace keeping initiative, remember say na person wey pay musician dey chose song. Our soldiers are not mercenaries and do not need any such money to remind them of their duty in protecting brother nations was nigerian peace keeping role facilitated by any US imperialistic financial project. Those americans who said that nigeria was excluded as a result of the human right abuses of it soldiers are hiding the truth. One can easily see that the US selected african states that can be compelled to pipe along with either sanctiion or foreign aid. Why is it that uganda just revoked its anti gay law and suddenly the US is all friendly with her. Or is it ghana with it band of corrupt dimwits posing as government officers stealing the country dry and still borrowing from IMF to steal more. Is it that country (name witheld) were child soldiers was institutionalised and a brutal civil war that threatened to tear the very fabrics of human right. If nigeria must be added in that group then why dont you ask yourself why isnt Algeria, south africa, egypt, angola, cameroun, kenya and other better placed countries included. Or re we going to go back down the ladder and allow our military men now veseted with the harsh experience of desert welfare, CTCOIN, urban welfare and to waste their time running peace keeping errands for america and its errand boys ( because of 110 million dollars) fact is that america may just be hiding its face, maybe the nigerian government have quietly rejeted the imperialistic offer. How can any country under ecowas with the provisions of ECOMOG , be a member to such a set up. It undermines the essence of ecomog and the african union standby force that is commanded by a nigerian, which may also be another reason why nigeria would not want to be a part and parcel of this colonial set up. As an african giant that ve intervened in so many regional conflict it would be painful and foolish if nigeria give up all that to sit and hide under an american set up. Mind you a nigerian commander have always being in charge of most of this african missions. So why should we eat crumbs.

SirShymex:

Lmao!

I remember India rejecting the UK's £300million foreign aid two years ago...and it was the UK that was begging India to accept it. That alone should tell discerning minds that foreign aids aren't actually what they're. How are you going to beg someone to take your money if you're not actually reaping about 10 times more of the actual aid?

Foreign aids are more or less a gift that comes with a big curse. This particular one isn't even worth it - $110million for the whole of Africa. The money won't even be able to fund a proper peacekeeping force. These folks just love
treating Africans like kids, to be honest.

110m$ is it up to the money for 4 private jets that an individual own in Nija?America should just respect Niaja.

I don't think this is about the anti-gay law, The US are helping does poor and still dependent African countries whose leaders can be manipulated and bend against their will with any threat of sanction. After all countries like south-Africa, Egypt, Algeria e.t.c are not also included. Nigerians are getting hard to deceive nowadays and even the international communities know that So Bleep Obama and his 110 million Dollars.

The Americans know the consequence of APC threatening they will form a parallel government if they lose next year. A fact they very well know will happen.

Nigeria doesn't need this money because we have money but chose to leave it in the hands of corrupt leaders. These countries that are given $110m are some of the poorest countries in Africa with nothing for their leaders to steal and will starve without foreign aids.

Ghana was described as "heavily dependent on foreign aids" when Obama was visiting, so we all know no aids will pass them by, so as the other countries.

I know even Russia and China still receive some form of aids, but not on the level of few park dogs sharing a bone. Nigeria should not be getting anything along side Ghana, Ethiopia and Rwanda, we should be getting aids like Israel and Egypt. We are not hungry, we just chose to starve in the midst of plenty.

But US sources explain that the non-inclusion of Nigeria from this (APRRP, “A-Prep is likely as a result of the allegations against the Nigerian military and security agencies regarding human rights abuses and violations in their operations especially in the ongoing insurgency in the Northeastern part of Nigeria.

In fact, the US Congress under what is known as the Leahy amendment, is outlawed from supporting any military that is known to be involved in gross acts of human rights violations and abuses. Notably during the just concluded US-Africa Summit, the Amnesty International (AI) released a very damning footage that alleged serious human rights abuses and violations against the Nigerian military. But often times the Nigerian military has denied such allegations.

with all our currupt leaders let me tell you guys I as a person i do not believe in our present polithievecian because they don't care about Nigerian youth all they care for is loot public funds and use it to acquire things for themselves, we need the Americans take for instance the ebola stuffs what can our leaders do, we need the west
ochon: And so? This ain't news. Without USA we will and must survive. If not for corruption and incessant looting by our old leaders that've refusd to relinquish power to the younger generations, we shouldn't be looking forward getting financial assistance from USA. We've the funds and strength to finance ourselves and solve our problems; but unfortunately, those money are in the personal accounts of our leaders.

uken73: Nigeria has always been a major contributor if not the highest contributor to African Peace. Excluding Nigeria may only be because we are seen as capable and they are trying to help others to their feet so that they can contribute too. This may be the idea behind this.
i cudn't hav said it better. Our budget to defense alone is $7billion. So, how much is $100mill ? Jst 0.1
% of what we give out in our budget to defense. Nigeria is big, if only we cud get leaders that wld make us seem so.

several armies world over, durinf the course of prosecuting a war, be it civil or international. Have being faced with protest from relatives complaining the death of their loved ones who have paid the highest price of patritism. They must find something to blame the military for. They could either blame the military for poor funding, bad weapon system, no reinforcement the list goes on.
A soldier was complaining about the AK 47 in that dubious article. And i, by virtue of my experience and intelligence on military matters. I who presently hide under the username of OVERHYPEDSTEVE call that soldier a coward, a traitor and a mutinist. Russia used the AK47 series to prosecute its war against iraq, and it is still using it.
Generals in the army have died in battle for home and country holding the AK47. Worst militant ve been faced with AK47. Or is he saying that because the militants are carrying rocket launchers then every single soldier of the NA should be holding RPG. what is the purpose of his military training.
i do hope this is enough reply to your quote, i would beg that the chains of quotes end here, as i would ignore any further quote.

Nigeria shouldn't lament. We deserve everything that's coming to us
you are very correct! Nigeria has more money than any of us can imagine. A share of $110m amongst 7 countries is like lunch money to those thieves we have up there. Naija is blessed, but cursed with bad leaders.
