NSNO: 5 reasons why I think PMS subsidy removal will not be as bad as people think: 1. Diesel is the main fuel used in haulage. Since we longer enjoy subsidy on diesel, producers and transporters have already absorbed the increase in price. 2. Diesel is also one of the the main fuel used in large scale power generation by companies. As mentioned earlier, the increased cost have been absorbed. 3. NLG is the another fuel used in large scale power generation by companies and the price of gas is going down. 4. Our refineries are coming back online. Apart from Dangote refinery, there are repair works going on in our other refineries and the chairman of BUA is also building a refinery in Akwa Ibom. Multiple players mean competition and as we all know competition drives down prices of goods and services. 5. NNPC released a statement that they would soon start giving companies license to import PMS, thereby increasing competition in that sector. Things will be hard for some time but PMS subsidy removal is one of the hard decisions we need to take to set this country on the right path.
It's bad, there are things they should fix first before removing fuel subsidy
NaughtyBrainiac: With the look of things over the years, it seems Fuel subsidy will eventually be removed.
My questions:
1. Is it not possible to remove fuel subsidy systematically/gradually? Like 10% removal every quarter. By the end of 2 years and 6 months, it would have been completely removed.
2. If number one is possible, why didn't previous administrations GEJ and Buhari adopt that approach.
What do you think guys?
they are wicked beings. what has held them from fixing our energy all these years? uninterrupted power supply is prerequisite, if they really care about the people
Newton2024: I have noticed how Tinubu's surpporters on social media defended every bad government policy. They defend the Drug Baron, Ekeremadu, MC Oluomo, and now they are defending Emdee Tiamiyu. On international scene, they defend Putin's invasion and massacre in Ukraine. Whenever there's massacre in middle-belt or South-East, they seem very happy. Tinubu's surpporters can defend anything so far it is on the negative side of story.
Both, tiinubu epitomizes corruption, no body wants him as a matter of fact. additionally APC as a political party houses people that are reason behind Nigeria's bad governance and corruption.
A thief is a thief whether he steals from a state treasurery or individual. Someone said he would have been publicly executed if it were to be in China
Judolisco: If dangote do sight dis stuff for Niger delta now or even ondo state.... He'll save himself some wahala.... But no yawa Sha... It's still better than taking it abroad and bringing it back to sell for us... No be juju bdat?
If he couldn't site his refinery in Niger Delta for interest best known to him, he shouldn't source his raw material from Niger Delta
Seb4luv1: For those of you who think all Pastors are scammers because their prophecies about the presidential election failed, listen to this YouTube video, There are still prophets who speak the mind of God. Prophet Frank gave the exact result as Apc will come first, Pdp second, and Labour Third. Rejoice Nigerians, for Tinubu regime will transform the economy six months after his swearing-in. A way that will amaze everyone.
Again, he said the mind of God, the governor of River State will be decorated by his opposition party, and that appointment will lead to a major job creation for the niger delta but we should pray for his health.
the fact still remains , we all know Peter Obi is the undisputed winner of the last presidential election, but the INEC choose to be corrupt.
Carcholce: He and his wife were in bed sleeping when he screamed out loud that something has pierced his chest. He died immediately. People are saying it’s a spiritual attack.
In 2020 during the covid, I was in bed sleeping when something pierced my rib on the left side, I shouted and jumped up immediately, the spot where I got pierced was hurting so bad till the morning. When the news about my late friend got to us just now, I narrated my own experience to a group of friends that were present, I was told I was very lucky to have survived it.
