joywendy:
if you keep on the concept of training both genders differently then how do we expect real change in the process?

Women and men have only one thing that differentiates them. That's their reproductive organs. That one is divine and not anyone's doing. A child learn what ever you teach them and condition them to believe.

if both genders were raised exactly the same way with no bias and what not. we wont have this issue we are discussing and that's the honest truth. If most guys were taught how to do domestic work and most ladies were taught to be financially independent. No one will be complaining that women are money mongers and guys are dirty and don't know anything about domestic work. If there was a balance then there wouldn't be any differences as you see today.

Both Genders can have the same aspiration and dreams. Nothing wrong with a woman who wants to be a CEO of a company or a man just simply wants to be a make up artist.

It's what they have grown up too and believe that makes them see thing like that as anormly

Who created the masculine and feminine concept? is it not the same society? That's generalisation by the way....
this Ignorance pass me o "men and women have only one thing that differenciates them and that's their reproductive organs"

I didnt just want to tell a story, I wanted to address an issue in the country,an issue that anytime it Is on the news,I get vexacious. and I came up with this.

HUNTED

If only he knew, he would have stayed back in Lagos
"wake up,it's time" he shook her gently. Imaobong turned, rubbing her eyes.she clenched her teeth in pain as he helped her to her feet.flies buzzed around her, a deep cut on her fore-arm.The room was dimly lit by a kerosene lamp which caste long moving shadows on the walls as Ekong and Imaobong tip-toed to the back-door carefully avoiding contact with the four other sleeping bodies on the cold cemented floor.
The door slowly creaked open as Ekong picked the lock. He gave her a short stare, a dry smile on his face, his blood-shot eyes full of hope.He just turned fourteen. His eyes were badly swollen, prophet Eket incessant tortures took their toll on his body.He has been in captivity with other children for practicing witchcraft, including his love,thirteen-year-old Imaobong. They were to be executed at dawn. The cry of nine-year-old Uduak as he was beheaded still tormented him.
"what are you people doing?" came a faint voice from behind. They turned sharply to see who it was. Edidong managed to stand to his feet
"where are you two going" he asked with a confused look. Ekong and Imaobong exchanged furtive glances.
The moon shone brightly in the cloudless sky as the trio made their way stealthily to the low three-row bamboo fence, the only separation from the huge forest staring malevolently at them. Ekong helped Imaobong climb over,Edidong following suit. In no time, they were over the fence. With Ekong urging them to stay together always, they broke into a run- a run for their lives,a hunted life. But they were never going to die like the others.

If you feel for this Kids that are killed almost everyday, pls vote 4 me. Click on d link below, wen it opens, click on blue like button, under d country icon.u'l b required to proceed wif ur Facebook details befor ur vote is authenticated.God bless you

Piss of mate. Scientists offer facts that anyone can verify, so if they support the supernatural they will offer evidence for it. And since they haven't it means there Is no evidence for it. Evidence is what is needed for my belief.
This is a very lazy shrewd mentality, you have the opportunity to discover the evidence yourself, but don't want to! Because scientists have not? Baffling! Very intelligent

DeSepiero:
Nobody is claiming to be a scientist and a 'lover of science' yet. Nobody is totally refusing to visit places rumored to be known for practicing sorcery.

An inquisitive fellow is simply seeking peoples experiences with what they'll call witchcraft and their reasons for believing its real.

Do you think that's out of place?
lol, that's your own definition of an Inquisitive mind,And I'l say that fellow must be an Intellectually Lazy fellow, In science,Experience is the best teacher, from Experiments,Laws are deduced, not from Seeking opinions! Or do you think otherwise? And I use 'scientist' here because you people use them as yardsticks to 'being' knowledgeable and Inquisitive.

And what scientific study has proved fortune telling is exact. What scientist strongly believe in the supernaturally?
If scientist don't regard the supernatural as real why should i?
But like I said believe what you want it's your life.
Bro you amuse me, a lot. So whatever scientists say is Truth, you take them all in,hook, line & sinker? Scientists are human like you, they have erred so many times, google is your friend.don't let them define your world, there are million things yet to be discovered.Discover your world, start from around you.

An intelligent person who believes that something exists should be able to provide evidence that such a things exists and convince another person conveniently.

So as the learned person you claim to be, convince me with evidence that witchcraft is real and stop inviting me to an unknown location in Nigeria. Not everyone you meet here stays there.
just listen to yourself. What do scientists, lovers of science, those that don't know but really want to know, do when they want to discover something? Do u watch Discovery channel?Nat Geo wild? They go on a personal research, to experience it, by Themselves! What is the white man doing in the jungle in kenya, what was mungo park doing in The Niger, what was Neil Armstrong doing on the moon? They Were EXPERIENCING! That's what You should do and not staying comfortably wherever you say You are whining and demanding Evidence across your computer on an Online forum!

Seee, another Hasty close-minded conclusion. Have you met a Fortune teller before? I guess not.the Supernatural is better personally experienced, you have to play the music of the spirits, for spirits to dance with you.And scientist and science lovers are very inquistive, they can do anything to get to the fact, but you and your friends are proving otherwise
Lennycool:
Fortune telling is not exact, and its mostly guesses drawn from the individual present.
If it was supernatural every fortune tell would be a millionaire with all the lotteries they would be winning.
Don't be deceived

Which one is REAL Supernatural powers again biko? So fortune telling is not supernatural? Ok now I get it, Except it's not smallville-like, or Heroes-like, or 4400-like, it is not supernatural? U amuse me Bro. Most Atheists claim to be open minded, but on nairaland, It's d exact opposite.
Lennycool:
We're not talking about tricksters or Gypsies. We're talking about real supernatural powers, and if developed countries are concerned with them.

Christianity EtcRe: How Should I Pay My Tithe? by puresaint12(m): 1:22pm On Oct 09, 2016
But Haven't it occured to you that those that still pay their Tithes in church still give their testimonies? I have witnessed so many!! When God said bring your tithe to his storehouse,he was talking about His church, and not a widow, or the orphans or the needy, Tithes and offerings are to brought to His sanctuary. You can Help the widows and less privileged while still paying your Tithe
gentlegenius:
It doesn't really matter how you pay and where you pay your tithe. What matters most is who benefits from your tithes?
The Bible(Deut 14:28-29) carefully list those who should benefit from tithes and they are: Levites(they only exist in Israel), Strangers, Widows, Fatherless(poor and needy people). Apart from the Levites, other beneficiaries exist everywhere.
Instead of us to share our tithes directly to the existing beneficiaries, we choose to pay it to our pastors who are far from being Levites without caring what they do with the tithe. That's what we see in this over-religious but yet wicked generation.
Christianity EtcRe: How Should I Pay My Tithe? by puresaint12(m): 1:06pm On Oct 09, 2016
You don't know what Tithing is, Keep Quiet.
MuttleyLaff:
You are not to pay tithe at all for the following 10 reasons
1.) You are not a Jew or an Israelite, who was commanded by God to pay tithe from cultivating crops or breeding and raising livestock (e.g. cows and/or lambs) in the Promised Land
2.) The tithe commanded by God was meant to be given ONLY in Israel, meant to be paid ONLY in Israel and meant to be received ONLY in Israel
3.) The methodolody used for selecting the tithe, was to hand-pick for tithe, the tenth livestock (e.g. cows, lambs) that passes under the rod
4.) The implication of #3 above, is that if you started with 1 livestock (e.g. 1 cow or 1 lamb) and at the end of year, bred and raised 9 cows or 1 lambs, then you dont pay tithe for that year
5.) Tithe were received in Jerusalem and for convenience stored up in a number of Levitical cities scattered all over Israel
6.) Where an Israelite is supposed to pay tithe on sales, is when ONLY buying back the tithe, (i.e. buying back the tenth cow, lamb or cultivated crops)
-there however, is a warning that the Israelite pays the going rate or value of the bought back the tenth cow, lamb or cultivated crops tithe, plus 20 percent.
7.) The bible is a book of divisions, where some parts, like tithe part, was meant for and talking exclusively to the Israelites and no else
8.) The common denominator in all biblical tithe giving (e.g. Abraham's tithe and the Israelites tithings) is a high priest or Levite physically receiving the tithe
9.) The implication of #8 above, is that a pastor is neither a high priest or Levite, hence has no business receiving tithe nor have any jurisdiction over tithe.
10.) Tithe was an obligatory and mandatory giving command made to the Israelite
Contributions which are voluntary and optional is the sort of giving expected from a believer(s)
It is what a believer decides in the heart and is comfortable with to give that God expects
Also believers shouldn't be sorry that they have given or feel forced in response to pressure to give
