In as much as I want another party to spring up. I'm not comfortable anrp. It's too long an acronym. Why not use anp
So we came up with ABUNDANT NIGERIA RENEWAL PARTY. Now that is two for the price of one. An ABUNDANT NIGERIA will be created from a party focused on the RENEWAL of NIGERIA, from the ground up. It is an initiative of the fertile, young and not-so-young minds of our time. With the name ABUNDANT, this party is officially the FIRST on the list of Nigeria's many parties.. ahead of Accord... hence it is easy to find. Plus the name abundant is oh so POSITIVE.

FAQs continued...
15. Why ANRP's focus on SDGs? What happens after 2030 when the SDGs are expected to have been achieved, will the party cease to exist?
The SDGs capture the ideals of our party. The SDGs are:
1. End poverty in all its forms
2. End hunger and achieve food security, improve nutrition and sustainable agriculture
3. Ensure healthy lives, promote wellbeing for all at all ages; eliminate death and illnesses from pollution-related diseases
4. Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote life-long learning for all
5. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
6. Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
7. Ensure to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all
8. Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth; full and productive employment and decent work for all
9. Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation
10. Reduce income inequalities within and among countries
11. Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable
12. Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
13. Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts by regulating emissions and promoting developments in renewable energy
14. Conserve and sustainably use oceans, seas, and marine resources for sustainable development
15. Protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems; sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, halt and reverse biodiversity loss
16. Provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable, inclusive institutions at all levels
17. Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnerships for sustainable development.
These are great, unquestionable and universal ideals. Even if these are achieved we shall continually strive to get better at them as we set further goals.

16. Do you think that the civil service is bloated and therefore needs to be trimmed?
Reports, including the Presidential Committee on the Restructuring and Rationalisation of Federal Government Parastatals, Commissions, and Agencies (2012) seem to confirm this. The truth is that over the years, employment into the civil service has been done for political patronage. Many have been employed who don’t have desks and therefore hardly report to the office, yet they are being paid salaries. What about the problem of ‘Ghost Workers’? The Minister of Finance says over 50,000 of such names have been cleaned out from the payroll in the last one year! Nothing confirms that the service is bloated than this statement.
In spite of the investment of our past governments, and the assistance from multilateral agencies like the World Bank to systemize the civil service, and do away with archaic ideas which lead to the phenomenon of ‘ghost workers’, it is surprising that we would still be battling with this issue. Our take is to ensure accountability takes root in the service, that those government pays actually work, and that we get a clear picture so as to understand how to move people around to more productive areas. Every Nigerian who draws a salary from the sweat, tears and blood of the taxpayer, must be productive to the extent of what they draw from Nigeria’s coffers.

17. Why are you called a Green Party?
Green Parties share similar characteristics. We prioritize:
1. Grassroots democracy.
2. A holistic approach to justice, recognizing that social justice, economic justice and environmental justice depend on and support each other. We don't see justice from the perspective of what is obtained in law courts alone.
3. Environmental justice which itself is founded on 2 fundamental principles: that all people have the right to live, work, learn, and play in safe and healthful environments; and that people have the right to influence decisions that affect the quality of the environment in their communities, nations, and the world
4. Peace and nonviolence
5. Decentralization, federalism
6. Community-based economics
7. Women's, youth's and children's rights
8. Respect for and promotion of diversity
9. Global responsibility
10. Forward-thinking and focus on the future.
Just imagine a Nigeria where these are attained or being worked towards! Also, there is a coalition of Green Parties around the world, and it is surprising that until we came, there had been no party with green (environmental) affiliation in Nigeria. All over Africa – from Kenya to South Africa, Egypt, Mali, Senegal, and even countries that have gone through trauma like Somalia, their politicians have thought about environmental sustainability and thus floated green parties for decades. It is time Nigeria thinks about sustainability and stop wasting all our resources. ANRP is the linchpin for that innovation and initiative.

PoliticsNew Political Party: What You Should Know About Anrp by Purposeciti(op):
FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the full meaning of ANRP?
Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party.

2. What structures does ANRP have in place to enable them to wrestle power from the ruling party and the major opposition party?
First, our party is not about "wrestling power" from the ruling and major opposition parties. Our goal is to bring about a national renewal and rebirth in the way we think and do things, and to create a NEW Nigeria.
We are more interested in a new Nigeria than in merely "wrestling" and "grabbing" power.
Yes, we do have structures in all 36 states and the FCT as well as outside Nigeria, as well as corporate governance structures and systems in place to drive our goal.

3a. How does ANRP intend to funds its activities?
We intend to raise funds through membership subscriptions which we take very seriously. As well as freewill donations from party and non-party members.
However the maximum limit for donations by individuals and bodies is N20 million and nothing more.
We also intend raising funds from merchandising and other innovative means.

b. Who is funding the party? I heard that a certain politician is funding it.
No one single individual is funding our party. It is not true that any politician(s) is/are funding our party; that is unacceptable to us in the first place.

4a. Will ANRP tackle ALL the problems of Nigeria if the party wins, or first a few critical areas?
Nigeria's problems are myriad and complex. However, our party has a deep understanding Nigeria's problems and intends tackle them.
We have started articulating views and debating them thoroughly within the party, and are even ready to offer them freely so long as Nigeria moves forward. We are a party of people who are ready to give their all so that our country may be truly great

b. Which areas do you consider critical needing priority attention?
Harnessing the energy, innocence, passion and creativity of the Nigerian youth, fixing the faulty structure of our society, creating a sense of belonging and ownership, building cohesion, creating abundance for all, and preserving the environment are all key.
Health, education (developing our most important assets--our human resources), fixing power (which will enable businesses to grow and provide employment), reforming the public/civil service (the engine of the government) to make it more functional and serve Nigerians better, reform law enforcement and justice delivery (to address the numerous cases of injustice which makes most Nigerians feel alienated), promote a clean, safe, healthy, aesthetically appealing environment, eradicating hungry, achieving the sustainable development goals… all these are within our view .

5. What makes ANRP different from other political parties?
Our party is different from others in many ways:
Our goal for Nigerians renewal/rebirth and abundance for all is critical for which we strive to achieve day and night in or out of government.
We are not another opposition party, we thrive in providing alternatives to the current state, as societies develop based on the quality of ideas generated and acted on.
We are not merely a purpose-built platform for winning elections. We are purpose built for achieving the ideals enshrined in THIS IS OUR OWN (the name of our party manifesto). Please avail yourself of the content.
Our hallmark is good governance within our party, exemplified by openness, transparency, accountability, submission to public scrutiny in all we do, promoting diversity and inclusion as well as consensus in decision-making.
Our focus is on sustainability in all spheres of Nigerian life.
We have a firm commitment to the environment. We believe the environment holds a secret to our development that must be unraveled. We shall focus on environmental management and sustainability.
Our attention is not on crude, we are especially concerned with renewable resources.
Our focus is on the youth and future generations.
And so many more.

6. What is the ideology of the party?
We are not doctrinaire, as ideologies in themselves don't improve people's lives and bring out the best in them. However the totality of what we stand for defines us. We stand for RENEWAL, RENAISSANCE, RESPECT. We stand for all that is good for Nigeria. We stand for the youth and future generations. We stand for an Abundant Nigeria.
We strive towards a just and equitable society that promotes diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity for all.
We strive towards solutions that are long term and sustainable as well as immediate results.
We are dynamic, innovative, and forward-thinking.
We prefer a lean government that promotes enterprise, business, and trade and which enables the society to be productive.
We view governance as stewardship and sacrifice.
We are frugal and detest every form of excess, indulgence, and waste. We shall run government in line with best global practices.
We care for the environment.

7. Does the party intend to merge with another party or other parties to present a presidential candidate? I was told that you are a platform sponsored by a certain politician with an agenda.
No our party isn't sponsored by any politician(s).
We may or may not merge with another/other political party/parties to present candidates. If we do, they must fully buy into THIS IS OUR OWN (the name of our party manifesto).
Currently we are more interested in generating thought-provoking conversations on national renewal and rebirth, than the 2019 general elections. However, we are a party set up to vie for every position in the land.

8a. Do you have physical offices or you only operate online, especially on social media?
We shall soon have offices in all 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital as well as in the UK, US, Ireland, Turkey, Japan, etc. For now, we have strong members in all those locations. We are proud to say we have members in EVERY state of the federation within 2 weeks of our formation. That is remarkable.

b. If you have physical offices where are they located?
Kindly email us at enquiries@anrp.org.ng to get the address of an office location near you. Subject to guidance from INEC, we shall soon unveil all our offices.

9. Are you a registered political party with INEC?
Yes, were are on course to complete our party registration process with INEC and it is in several stages and could span a number of weeks or months. We started that process in December 2016. That process marked the formation of the party.

10. What is this thing about an ANRP shadow government?
The shadow government or shadow cabinet is one of ANRP's numerous innovations. Even though we don't run a parliamentary system in Nigeria, the concept of a shadow government is key even in our presidential system. A few countries in the world have maintained shadow governments even in a non-parliamentary arrangement but we believe it is even more germane for a country like ours especially with perennial mismanagement and unpreparedness.
Our shadow cabinet shall mirror the cabinets of the governments in power to interrogate their policies and activities and provide better alternatives according to THIS IS OUR OWN (the name of our party manifesto).
The purpose is for us as a party outside of government to stay engaged on issues of the day on a continual basis. One advantage is that when we get into governance we won't be needing 6 months to study reports compiled by transition committees, or to appoint ministers, who in turn may need another 6 months to under their portfolios.
The shadow cabinet members shall also on a regular basis produce alternative policy documents, views, position papers, etc to keep the Nigerian people informed, energized, hopeful, and imaginative about the possibilities of having a workable system that serves everyone on an equitable and sustainable basis.

11a. How does ANRP intend building unity amongst Nigerians?
As a party we see our diversity as one of our greatest strengths as a country. Numerous researches have proven that diverse, heterogeneous societies show more promise of speedy development than homogenous societies if the talents and resources of diverse societies are harnessed. This is precisely what we intend to do through good governance.
We aver that disunity in Nigeria is deliberately created to promote divide-and-rule, a colonial legacy firmly in place during the first republic, through the military era up the present day.

The phrase THIS IS OUR OWN (the name of our party manifesto and a party slogan) has been translated in over 50 Nigerian languages and growing, as against the traditional "three major languages". This is in an example of our policy and practice of inclusion and giving everyone a sense of belonging and ownership, our attention to details and diversity.
b. How does it intend curing Nigerians of stereotyping other groups?
Due to bad governance and the antics of devious politicians many Nigerians don't correctly discern that there is nothing inherently wrong with any constituent groups in Nigeria beyond the stereotypes promoted by those who thrive on our collective disunity.
As a party we intend through all our activities, ideas, communications, to promote harmony by enlightening Nigerians to these truths. One of the more scientific things we can do is conduct a study of the origins of Nigerian languages to show to our people, that most of our languages are related and so we are one. This is called Etymology.
We hope to unite Nigerians using THIS IS OUR OWN to share in our collective vision for a reborn, new, abundant Nigeria that serves all in an equitable and equal opportunity basis.

12. What is ANRP's position on Federal Character?
The principle of Federal Character is a good one, designed to take care of diversity in Nigeria by ensuring that educationally-disadvantaged areas of Nigeria catch up with the rest and are adequately represented in the workplace. But we believe it should have a shelf life.
We don't think that by now, merit and competence must be compromised at any time. In promoting diversity, equal opportunity must be the guiding principle. We note that rather than conform with the Federal Character principles, politics has taken over and Nigeria’s powerful people simply use the idea for political bargaining, cronyism, favoritism and nepotism. This has to stop.
The Federal Character Commission itself many times waives Federal Character compliance for many recruitments by the federal government, meaning the policy has lost its bite. All of these issues will be reviewed by us.

13. How will ANRP restore public schools?
Our party sees human resources as our nation's most important assets, not crude oil or other extractive resources. Education which we see as the nurturing of the mind and building of character to convert human resources to human capital is a leading focus for our party.
Public education is the most important leveller and equalizer of society. A society which evolves under class structures will find it tough to cohere in the medium to long term. We notice that it never used to be like this in Nigeria and we are prepared to bring back the good old days of good public schools.
We hope to achieve this among numerous other things by improving teacher quality through standardization and improving their dignity and remuneration. Research has shown that 70% of educational output and performance depends on teacher quality. We shall also increase allocation to education and ensure value-for-money is achieved in that sector, to prove our seriousness.

14. What is ANRP's take on resource control?
We believe the resource control argument is not the argument we should be having and it is borne out of the inability to recognize the real resource that Nigeria has and to harness it; human resources. We note that the most successful countries in the world are those who deploy their best brains to innovate every aspect of society, to the extent that they export their innovations and inventions to other countries of the world. To this extent, the resource control argument is an admission of defeat. We want Nigerians to think forward instead and see the opportunities which lie ahead of us with a new paradigm.
We shall be willing to consider and review the arguments all the same, and are inclined to allowing more or total local control of resources found in the ground wherever they may be found. We believe exploration and exploitation of such resources is best done by private sector entities contracted by constituted authority with a larger portion of royalties and benefits going to regions where resources may be found. We believe in a trim Federal Government and will work towards that from Day One.
As a Green Party and a forward-thing one we think the era of oil is over. We think it best to focus on renewable resources that last a lifetime and utilized in perpetuity.

PoliticsRe: What Should We Do With This Gbabestic Society by Purposeciti(op): 1:16pm On Jan 06, 2017
Renewal, Renaissance and Respect
PoliticsWhat Should We Do With This Gbabestic Society by Purposeciti(op): 12:54pm On Jan 06, 2017
WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH THIS GBABESTIC SOCIETY
BY Oluwamayowa Lala
The word gbabestic is coined from ‘Gba bebe’- Yoruba word which implies disgusting complacency, settling for less. Any society that settles for less can be - in the light of this article and beyond (if you like) referred to as a gbabestic society of which I believe Nigeria qualifies as one, gbabestic elements with gbabestic theories.okay.
For those who have read my previous articles (though, not published on newspapers), they know I am an unapologetic and staunch adherent of this new order (new political parties emerging), and a member of ANRP to be precise, I have promised myself that I won’t sit down, settle for less or buy into these gbabestic theories for the sake of the future. We need to raise the standards.
Unworkable Old order
It’s high time we abandon paradoxical status quo. We should start experiencing the ideal. I still hold it that even the most brilliant idea is still unworkable with this old order, the entire party structure is consciously or unconsciously configured for corruption. How do I mean?
There is this absence of apparatuses to reduce corruptive propensities within the parties of the old order such that it becomes very easy for corruption to thrive and thus making it difficult for honest patriotism to survive. And that is why, in my opinion I believe that even the most patriotic Nigerian out there who wishes to selflessly serve this country will still be handicapped by the old order unless the instrument of the ‘new order’ is employed.
To shed more light, There is this knotty issue of sordid affiliations among politicians of the old order: I call it the ‘gburu’ factor. Pardon me here; “ti a ba fa gburu, gburu a maa fa igbo”, this Yoruba proverb means: Forceful attempts to pull brambles from the field will force brambles to pull other brambles. and this is the recurring scenario in Nigeria politics, You see, politician (A) cannot boldly take drastic actions (that will help Nigerians) against politician (B) because politician (B) happens to be a padi-padi to politician (C) who finances ‘our’ own politician (A).
Why I think we should support the new order
This new trend of new political parties emerging is our chance. We should courageously join hands together with other serious compatriots who have stepped out to herald us into the new dawn. We should join in by giving constructive criticisms and that will help the new order. With efforts being made to ensure that foundations are strong enough to repel corrupt elements from ANRP. This new order is a chance that we scarcely experience in Nigeria. And I mean very rare!
Why I will rather follow ANRP for instance is because of the disciplined approaches so far, if this ‘new order’ is supported by other patriotic Nigerians, I believe, we can raise our standards as a society from ‘gbabestic’ to millennial.
That vermin that has eaten deep into the average Nigerian citizen is that laziness and tendency to quickly settle for less, I once learnt that he who strives for the best should never settle for less. The new order as I have studied- if properly managed will not be gbabestic.
Gbabestic self-appointed critics
Ever since the birth of this Idea - the new order. The National convener of ANRP, Uncle Tope Fasua and other pioneering members, have been ceaselessly attacked with sharp pessimism and pejorative statements from some gbabestic critics. They have carelessly and stubbornly labeled ANRP-angry youths, that is laughable, the party take ‘new bloods’ and not ‘old rogues’- this is not done with the aim of excluding experienced elders, new bloods shouldn’t be taken literally to mean anti ageism.
All that the party has done since inception is to act within the confines of the law, employing strategies and futuristic ideas in order to inspire hope in a society where despair has ‘panel-beaten’ the faces of people.
2017 will be hopefully be a fantastic year, because there will be cases, we present our case, you present yours. With due ‘respect’(RESPECT: one of the things ANRP stand for ) and to strictly observe African and religious proper here, (I want to be careful here, I mean no disrespect). I found out that a very large percentage of gbabestic critics giving their convenience analysis from the comfort of their sofa or whatnot, fall within the age range of our old folks who enjoyed free education, free meal, overabundance of job offers, etc. The fact is that many of them did graduate the university only to find jobs sitting right there on their laps.
Now, some of these self-appointed gbabestic critics seems to be far removed from the reality and are disillusioned by their comforts, I implore them to go and tell their gbabestic stories to those youths (on the street) who are currently suffering the harshness of this environment in the hands of the visionless old order, they will thank me later.
A dose of TR(Theodore Roosevette)
I pray that this gbabestic society get out of wishful thinking, convenience analysis, cynicism, and the likes. I pray that we will get a good dose of Theodore Roosevette and join forces with action- infused contributions in order to make a better future and formidable opposition, because we won’t allow this bright idea to fade off as a result of the avalanche of pessimism from coming from bloc of self-appointed sesquipedalian and vuvuzelas who are committed to keep retailing their gbabestic/
gbabebe/complacency theories.

PoliticsWhy We Should Support The New Order by Purposeciti(op): 1:17pm On Dec 29, 2016
WHY WE SHOULD SUPPORT THE NEW ORDER
BY Oluwamayowa Lala
To start with, let me introduce myself, I am a young social observer with a fair avidity for political discourse. For some weeks now, something historic had begun to happen, I call it the ‘new order’, why? in my few years of national consciousness, I’ve known Nigerians to have proven time after time that we are mostly cowards, Jan 2012 fuel subsidy protest was sure historic, but it never lasted long before we retreated to our various hidey-holes.
The truth is, we scarcely speak with one voice against these despots who have used power to deal treacherously with us over the years.
The new Order
Now, the ‘new order’, what’s it all about, New political movements are emerging across the country.A seasoned economist, Uncle Tope Fasua(TF), the convener of ANRP (Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party), is one of the prominent figures leading this movements, but something distinct here Is that, after a careful study, I found that there is this ideological concept of possibly injecting patriotic new bloods (young and old) with brilliant millennial ideas into the political system. I personally love the timing. But again, there were various reactions from different angles. Uncle Simbo Olorunfemi’s Column ’do we need a new political party?’ is an outstanding one.
Uncle Simbo is someone I greatly admire, in fact I consider myself his student, he has helped me to polish my ideas with his adeptness of political education and a down to earth eloquence in expressing those insightful facts,(We haven’t met except online). I carefully went through his column, he raised some concerns on salient matters like; how the new parties intend to sort out sensitive issues like funding, clash of personal interests, etc I think these issues are of paramount importance and should be carefully noted by leaders of the ‘new order’, it will to a great extent help the ‘new order’ to escape the tendencies that became pitfalls for the ‘old order’, Careful study of concerns raised In this column will help adherents of the ‘new order’-not to be wedged in the network of mischief like the ‘old order’.
Unworkability of ideas in an ‘old order’
This excerpt was boldly printed in Uncle Simbo’s column:
“what we need now is to join hands together and focus singularly on how we can infiltrate and weaken existing structure to the point where we can successfully force a constitutional amendment that will herald, at the least, the birth of a unicameral Parliamentary System. That is our best shot at being able to produce a leader of the kind we are pushing for.”
And this is where I differ- ‘infiltration’, Uncle Simbo has rightly mentioned that we should focus on infiltrating and debilitating these dysfunctional structures but I ask, how will that be possible without the instrument of this ‘new order’ ?. As it is, the political class has totally shut brilliant ideas out of the system. And It is apparent that the best that can be done by these stubborn hegemonic forces is to play myopic politics with painstakingly researched recommendations over the years.
I stand to be corrected if I’m misinterpreting the logic here, a quick glance at history: NYM (National Youth Movement) est. 1933, was the platform that gave Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikwe and other comrades who had just return from their study abroad- the national fame and prominence needed for them to get into the National politics and thereby to implement their brilliant initiatives in those days.
Abubakar Gambo wrote in 2013:
When opposition parties merged to form APC, I said that true progressives should massively join the party and hijack it the way PDP was hijacked by rogues. Our progressives didn't. Instead they kept complaining about how corrupt some APC elements were and how the whole merger will fall apart. Now PDP people are moving to APC and many people are saying that APC is no different from PDP. The truth is that the politicians don't sit back and make noise, they make the changes they want to see. Whether good or bad, they are acting on what they believe in. In that, they are better than most of us.
Fueling the intrigues of political mercenaries
From some other quarters, I have observed this unprecedented sharp pessimism and divisive tendencies – coming from respected uncles and aunties. The implication of your inability to douse this fire of division brewing between two ‘generals’ will fuel the intrigues of political mercenaries whose mission is to distort brilliant opinions and frustrate honest and patriotic efforts in a sea of media deceit.
Almost needless to say, The paramount thing here is that both Uncle Simbo and Uncle Tope Fasua(TF) are resourceful, and taken as such. Let the spirit of conviviality reign here. Amen.
Finally, I hold it that the spirit of comradeship and oneness as demonstrated now is our chance to support this ‘new order’ coming in the modus of peaceful and strategic revolution that we have all desired over the years. Shouldn’t we seize this chance to rally round the courageous ones who have braved out to flag off this idea? Shouldn’t we hijack the ‘new order’ before rogues hijack it again like they hijacked APC ?
Nairaland GeneralCourt Orders Senator To Pay Damages For Slapping Newspaper Vendor by Purposeciti(op): 1:25pm On Dec 14, 2016
A High Court in Uyo has ordered a former senator from Akwa Ibom State, Anietie Okon, to pay N100,000 as damages to a newspaper vendor, Ndifreke Etim, whom he assaulted last year in Uyo.
Mr. Etim, who walks around the city of Uyo, hawking newspapers, had told the court that Mr. Okon slapped him multiple times inside Government House, Uyo, in September last year.
The assault occurred around the state banquet hall where the vendor had gone with the hope of making quick sales during the swearing-in of a new chairman of Akwa Ibom State Council of Traditional Rulers.
Mr. Etim claimed that three able-bodied men, who may have been Mr. Okon’s bodyguards, stood by to watch as the former senator kept slapping him.
“When he finished slapping me, he accused me of stealing his wallet. But God knows I am not a thief, I sell newspapers to take care of myself and my family,” Mr. Etim had told PREMIUM TIMES in November, shortly after the incident.
“He didn’t even search me to see if I had his wallet on me or not.”
The victim, backed by the Newspaper Distributors Association of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State chapter, filed a civil suit against the former senator.
“I didn’t really think of reporting the case to the police; I wanted it sorted out in court,” said the vendor.
The court, presided over by Justice Winifred Effiong, held that the action of the former senator was degrading, and that it was against Mr. Etim’s right to the dignity of his person as guaranteed by Section 34(1) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as the African Charter on human and people’s right.
The court, besides granting an order that Mr. Okon should pay N100,000 as damages to Mr. Etim, also granted an order of perpetual injunction, restraining the former senator or his agents from further breaching of the applicant’s fundamental human rights.
It also ordered the former senator to pay additional N50, 000 as cost of the litigation to Mr. Etim.
“I am glad that the court has been bold enough to tell the senator that what he did against me was wrong,” Mr. Etim told PREMIUM TIMES. “It’s not about the money.”
When contacted, the former senator, Mr. Okon, said he was yet to get a copy of the court judgment.
Mr. Etim was represented in the case by Ndianabasi Udofia, while Mr. Okon was represented by Esther Archibong.

Christianity EtcA Gospel Of Poverty Or Prosperity:let's Rightly Divide The Word Of Truth. by Purposeciti(op): 8:03am On Apr 30, 2016
A GOSPEL OF PROSPERITY OR POVERTY.
Efforts have been made to guide God's children from 'love of money'.therefore, some preachers continue to assert that the wealthy crops of men are those who have mustered enough brutality and inhumanity to fight their way to the top in the world of business and politics so as to amass wealth,on that standpoint, one would be tempted to subscribe to the fallacy that only the wicked and desperate get rich.they go on without mentioning the fact that money isn't evil.the evil begins when we worship it.these crop of preachers are quick to condemn career pursuit.to this end such preachers are usually called poverty preachers.
On the other hand.there is a gospel of prosperity.they emphasize on financial and career breakthrough without warning christians to be wary of the love of money that prevent people from true consecration and devotion.hence they are labelled prosperity preachers.
Our efforts to crush avarice should rather be directed towards learning and teaching how not to be a slave to money in this world of materialism.we should rightly divide the word of God.
Our money should be used to serve God.we should have all things in common.share things among our brethren, invest in our brethren.Acts2:44-45.
the above passage is a denominator that can settle and balance it all.but if you have a problem with Acts2:44-45,I'm afraid you are a slave to money.Matt19:16-26.

Many tankers on our roads has outlived the recommended date for disposal and that's the reason for many fatal accidents.those issues should be checked.

Organized religion is one of the major causes of the increase in crime rate .

Deeper Life is a major culprit. They encourage their workers to quit their jobs so that they can 'serve god' more. After doing this, they start living in poverty, become desperate and turn to crime.
