Various things depending on my mood and hormones, for a late night snack I'll usually go for grapes or oranges, but if I'm feeling really hungry (even when I shouldn't be) I'll make a cup of tea or pap.

I wouldn't choose to eat only one food for the rest of my life, because I would get fed up with it and I couldn't take it anymore. If I eat the same food over and over again with almost no time in between I don't like this food anymore and can't even look at it for some time. But if I had that choice I would seriously investigate what would be more healthy to me and I would chose it, I doubt we could live on one food though.

fabat: I cook for one...and use my freezer to divide larger packages of meat and unused portions of broths, tomato paste, etc. Cooking at home is better in all respects...much healthier in that you can control what goes into it and control the portions.

You guys forgot to factor in labor! Think about the time spent in grocery shopping and preparing the food at minimum wage and things start to become more even. Also, We do waste alot of food when cooking at home.
