TCD:
SCAM ALERT!!
beware of this scammer 09071179402
he contacted me claiming to be able to supply me $1000 asking me to send first.
I asked for his nairaland username and he claimed he is EgunMogaji.
EgunMogaji is a known name on nairaland and I know he is in the USA and this crook is whatsapping me with a Nigerian number .
I asked him some questions, he goofed and then asked him to reply my post in nairaland wit his EgunMogaji profile there he disappeared.
Lesson:
please everyone should be extra careful and smart. anyone who contacts you make sure you confirm his identity by asking him to post something random on nairaland . search the phone number , account name ane number on nairaland to see if it has been tagged as scam.
some people just don't want to work for their money. shame.
Due Diligence pays.
Very Smart........Thumbs Up.

Go to that link and make your request known there.......and protect yourself.

PayPal complained that it's the Nigerian Fg that restricts us from receiving funds.. U can mail them to inquire
I refuse to believe this.

How come Skrill that just started allowing Nigerians to register on their site just few months ago and Neteller allow us to withdraw to our Nigerian bank DOM. accounts.

Incase some ppl didn't get the memo.
There is a thread for currency deals which was requested by all.

Nairaland doesn't tolerate and will not tolerate derailing of threads with ads.

Kindly adhere to the thread title. This also applies to other threads.

Thank You.

Due to popular demand by all and sundry who in one way or another deal with currency/e-currency exchange, this thread is for you.

I implore all who will are seeking to do deals in here to do so with all honest intentions.and sincerity.

I know there would be deviants, so I implore all to be your brother's keeper in here.
You smell something fishy, you speak up/report.
Any deal too good to be true, probably is.
Conduct your due diligence before you deal.
....and most importantly, you buy and sell at your own risk.

.......and I implore all to stop derailing other threads simply because they want to sell and make their currency prices/ads known.

Nairaland still has rules & regulations, if in doubt.......read it again.

You're all invited.

Happy dealing to all and Deal SAFELY.
Business › Re: How Much Did You Exchange The Dollar For Today? by puskin(mod): 2:27am On Jun 26, 2016
My suggestion:

Since everyone is apparently dealing in currency/ecurrency.
I will open a thread where all the sales of any kind can take place.

It's not nice having a litany of threads of different people trying to sell the same thing as well as derailing other people's threads.

Let the sales take place in that thread. It will bring about competition and also checkmate fraudulent people who might have ulterior motives because everybody is monitoring everybody.
U know exactly the moniker you are dealing with and you can easily get confirmation from others pertaining the trustworthiness of the person you are about to deal with.

If you like this idea......kindly click "like"......if against click "share"

Bookiemart01:
I only hope the thread doesn't "die"......the sales made it lively IMO.

Dragnet and other mods, can we fix a day or time for ecurrency sellers to sell on this thread? This thread might just die soon cry
Yes......sales might have made it lively but also so many ppl have been scammed in the process.

........and you might wanna check again what the thread title is.

Every newbie wants to sell ecurrency.

There are numerous certified currency exchangers who have threads in this section and who have been tested and trusted overtime.
There are also some trusted individuals who have threads to and have been tested and trusted overtime.

I am not a police officer that will start tracking scams that happen on Nairaland. The best I and other MODs can do is to create an atmosphere where scams will be limited or non-existent.

To everyone positing ads here, if you are confused about the thread title........kindly check again.

This is not an e-currency market.

The objective of this thread has been lost.

@puskin

I feel its about time sellers be allowed to create their own threads for business purposes. This thread is not coordinated and any newbie that enters here is only after the cheapest rates which may/may not be scam.
This thread was never intended for currency deals, it was just to keep track of official and black market rates.

But some ppl have turned it into another thing.

I rmbr I placed a caveat here sometime ago on this thread.........maybe the punitive measures ain't worth it cos they all hibernate and come back.

Everybody wants to sell and buy dollar......if you cannot protect yourself and you do get scammed, do not complain.

There is a reason why there are money exchangers.(cash & e-currency).

They are in this section. They have their threads, websites, office addresses and verifiable transactions that they have done over the years........but una prefer cheap $$.

Well, cheap $$ come with a price.

@moneymins

It is very obvious you do not know what scam is.
Did the person dupe you of any sum of money or did both of you execute a transaction for which he didn't pay.

I wonder what is the essence of bringing this to NL when it never started or even happened here.

.......and please, read NL rules and regulations again and have a better understanding of it.

.....and please, be careful of your unguarded comments/statements trying desperately to make the person look bad.

His only offence was trying to get your whatsapp group members to register on his site and that is no biz of NL.
