Fintiri is coming home. Tell me in any dispensation in the past that Governors are commissioning projects as much as we have it today, from the South to the East to the West and the North?. These Governors no longer owe workers salaries like in the past, they also cutting down on states debts. Little wonder the UN Secretary General is applauding Tinubu's reforms and he's supporting the call for a permanent seat for Nigeria in the Security Council.
Any Governor who does not invest in economic projects and infrastructure must be taken to a rehab. |

China is not having any major natural resources but they are rich in abundance in almost all with their operation in Africa Bro, blame African leadership for the mismanagement. China is a top trading partner in Africa, aside trading, they invest big in Africa. They also provide cheaper loans to Africa countries than the west. There's also China-Africa funds that is directed into building Africa industrial capacity, infact, African leaders go to China to attend the summit. |

Politics › Fubara Reportedly Submits Commissioner-nominee List To Rivers Assembly by Putindbutt(op): 7:13pm On Feb 14 |
The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has submitted a list of commissioner nominees to the Rivers State House of Assembly for screening and approval, according to a source close to the governor.
Fubara dissolved the state executive council and all his special advisers in a development that most analysts believe to be part of the recent truce between him and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike by President Bola Tinubu.
And following from the dissolution, he submitted the list of commissioner nominees and special advisers to the state House of Assembly led by Martin Amaewhule on Friday, the source said.
There are also indications that Fubara may appoint a new Chief of Staff as part of the latest reconciliation by President Tinubu.
As part of the reconciliation, the governor would soon commission the newly built House of Assembly Complex for the lawmakers to move out of their temporary quarters.
Since the latest fallout with his predecessor, Governor Fubara has been working with only eight commissioners due to a Supreme Court judgment that recognised the leadership of Amaewhule as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The source said the lawmakers are expected to begin the legislative business of screening and approving the nominees in the coming days.
It was gathered that the list of commissioner nominees will include names of the loyalists of both Fubara and Wike, which is expected to pave the way to lasting peace in the state.
The source said that of the eight commissioners that had been working with Fubara before the cabinet dissolution, only those who performed well would make the list.
According to the source, “The governor has already sent the names of commissioner-nominees to the House of Assembly. It is now for the Speaker to invite them for screening. In the spirit of reconciliation, some names may come from the camp of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. Commissioners who performed well may also be reappointed.
“The house complex undertaken by the governor will be commissioned soon, and lawmakers will move from their temporary quarters to the new facility”.
There has been no formal acknowledgement of the recent development by the House of Assembly or Fubara’s Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi.
But it is believed that such a list would be made public by the House of Assembly since the nominees would be invited for screening. https://businessday.ng/news/article/fubara-submits-cabinet-list-to-rivers-assembly/

Politics › El-rufai Phone Tapping Threatens National Security, INEC – Reno Omokri by Putindbutt(op): 4:27pm On Feb 14 |
A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has criticised former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over comments made during an interview on Arise TV, describing the alleged admission of phone tapping as callous.
Omokri, in a post on X on Friday night, argued that tapping a phone call without a court order is a crime. He added that admitting to such action publicly raises serious legal and ethical concerns.
Omokri, In a post on X on friday night, argued that tapping a phone call without a court order is a crime.
He added that admitting to such action publicly raises serious legal and ethical concerns.
“Tapping a phone call without a court order is a crime. Admitting to it on live television is callous. Confessing that you were an accessory after the fact to unnamed individuals in the illegal tapping of a call is an open-and-shut case of your own culpability,” he said.
He further questioned who else may have been targeted.
“Who else has mallam Nasir El-Rufai and his agents been tapping?”
“has he and his associates been helping terrorists and coup plotters to tap the phone calls of their intended victims?,” he asked.
In another post, Omokri advised El-Rufai to keep talking.
“No wonder Nasir @elrufai boasted that he would unseat President Tinubu in 2027. Has he also tapped the INEC Chairman’s phone number?.
He qdded that the situation raises questions about the push for real-time transmission of election results, arguing that if it is possible to intercept the phone of a national security adviser, then electoral technologies such as INEC’s IREV portal and BVAS devices could also be vulnerable to compromise.
“Nasir El-Rufai, keep talking. Keep digging. Keep exposing yourself,” He added. https://dailypost.ng/2026/02/14/admitting-to-illegal-tapping-of-phone-on-live-tv-callous-omokri-slams-el-rufai/

Politics › Kano: Tinubu, Shettima, APC Governors To Receive Abba Yusuf Into APC On Monday by Putindbutt(op): 1:40pm On Feb 13 |
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected in Kano on Monday to formally receive Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf into the All Progressives Congress (APC) at a grand reception billed for the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata.
Vice President Kashim Shettima and several APC governors are also scheduled to attend the event, which party leaders describe as a major political gathering aimed at consolidating the APC’s hold in the North-West.
The high-profile event is scheduled to hold on Monday, February 16, at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano and is expected to attract top political figures and party supporters from across the country.
Speaking while addressing party faithful at his office, the Kano State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, described the reception as a historic and symbolic occasion designed to formally welcome Governor Yusuf into the party.
According to Abbas, extensive preparations are underway to ensure a smooth and successful ceremony. He announced the inauguration of several committees tasked with coordinating different aspects of the event.
He said the Venue Committee consists of 16 members responsible for logistics and stadium arrangements. A 15-member Security Committee, headed by a retired colonel of the Nigerian Army, has been mandated to maintain order and work with relevant security agencies before and during the event.
Abbas added that a 15-member Health Emergency Committee has also been constituted to oversee medical services and respond to any emergencies that may arise at the venue.
To ensure strong grassroots participation, the party has set up a 20-member Mobilisation Committee to coordinate the turnout of supporters from across the state. A 17-member Protocol Committee will handle reception and seating arrangements for senior government officials and other dignitaries expected at the ceremony.
He further disclosed that a 15-member Publicity Committee, headed by Mohammed Garba, with Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa serving as secretary, will manage media relations and public awareness activities for the event.
Abbas described the reception as a significant moment for the APC in Kano, noting that the state remains a major force in Nigeria’s political landscape and that the event will provide an opportunity for the party to showcase its values and strength. https://tribuneonlineng.com/kano-tinubu-shettima-apc-govs-to-attend-yusufs-apc-homecoming/

Politics › Re: If My People Want Me To Join APC, I Have No Choice – Adamawa Gov, Fintiri by Putindbutt(op): 1:06pm On Feb 13 |
His soul is already in APC, just a matter of time. Remember this is Atiku's state and this Governor is really dealing with him. He has stripped Atiku off the title of Waziri. Atiku is no longer Waziri of Adamawa, if you addressed him as Waziri, you're committing a crime.
This coming election, Atiku is going to lose in Adamawa state 100%. Fintiri is cutting him down to size. He did not join Atiku in ADC and also took all PDP structures in the state away from Atiku long before Atiku ran away to ADC.
Atiku, Kwankwaso, Elrufai, these were once the godfathers in their state but today, they have been rendered irrelevant by their godsons. They believe if you want to work against Tinubu, you're our enemy because no godfather has been able to give us the kind of moral, political and financial support and freedom of Governance like Tinubu.
Tinubu sees all the Governors as friends and partners unlike OBJ who bullied and harassed them. Even till date, Tinubu extends hands of fellowship to his old class of 99 and invite them over to Aso rock for dinner and brainstorming.
Why do you think two major political allies of Peter Obi refused to join him in ADC?. Obi has nothing to offer them, not even leadership. Gov Otti did not follow Obi and his body language supports Tinubu for second term. You also heard him support the President tax reforms.
Obi's former VP candidate also refused to follow him and his body language is gradually tilting towards Tinubu. This same Datti Ahmed was one of the biggest critics of Tinubu. He was on TV inciting the judiciary against swearing in Tinubu. He has also on several occasions violently attacked the President. And recently, the President approved Baze Aviation University for him. I believed he was shocked, he couldn't believe it.
Then he came out this week to say no opposition leader has the common sense like President Tinubu!.
Bro, Tinubu is a different breed, he doesn't play politics of bitterness and vendetta. As long as you don't incite the people in a violent and bloody revolution in your criticism, you're good to say whatever you want.
And this is why Bitter people and election losers do not understand why people from all walks if life love Tinubu and are gravitating towards him. They think hate and bitterness is the key to victory but they don't know that Success does not mix with hate and bitterness. And that's why their defeat in 2027 will be a special day for me and all lovers of Nigeria. |
Politics › If My People Want Me To Join APC, I Have No Choice – Adamawa Gov, Fintiri by Putindbutt(op): 12:35pm On Feb 13 |
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has addressed growing speculation about a possible defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying his political future would be guided by the wishes of the people of the state.
Speaking with journalists, Fintiri said politics is about serving the people and that he would not resist any decision supported by the majority of Adamawa residents.
“There are a lot of rumours about whether I will defect to the APC or not. If that is the wish of my people, I will not object because politics is all about the people,” he said.
The governor criticised what he described as “political merchants” fuelling tension around the issue, accusing them of acting out of fear and self-interest.
“There are people making noise, political merchants, who are treacherous and afraid. I am coming with value, prosperity, and strength to add to wherever we are going,” Fintiri stated.
He emphasised that his administration has built strong grassroots support through development projects, infrastructure, and investments in human capital across the state.
“Adamawa is secure because we have built organic connections through development and infrastructure, particularly in human capital. If my people say I should stay, I will stay and I will win,” he added.
Fintiri maintained that his government’s performance would ultimately determine its political success, stressing that the delivery of dividends of democracy remains his priority.
“Wherever we go, the most important thing is that we have delivered, and we are going to win,” the governor said. https://dailypost.ng/2026/02/12/if-my-people-want-me-to-join-apc-i-have-no-choice-fintiri/
