Your argument is not valid. Poverty indices during Tinubu regime might be high but you need to show what it was before he came to power in 1999, that provide a good ground for comparison.

In Obi case, looking at data before he ascended to power and what it was when he was in power, there was an increase in poverty rate in the state, which is a failure on his part as a governor.

Beyond this, my own grouse with him, is that he shouldn't have gone to demarket a country you are so passionate to lead on a global stage, that is absolutely wrong, and I hope he learn from this backlash.

Poverty in Anambra was 41% when Obi became Governor and he successfully increased it to 53.7%. And these slowpokes were comparing to Tinubu who took over from the Military when Nigeria was coming out of civil riots and complete mess.

Tinubu took over from the Military and poverty was declining under Tinubu till he left office but Peter Obi took over from Ngige when Poverty was 41% and Obi increased it to 57% yet you're here defending the failures of Agulu fraud.

Ngige was governor of Anambra state between 2003 and 2006. The NBS data available are 2003-2004 and 2009-2010 which are already available on this thread, so I wonder where you are getting your 37% from. The 2009 data as I’ve already stated is due to the global economic crisis. Obiano’s feat in poverty reduction is attributable to Obi’s economic foundation as the data hiatus between 2011 and 2018 might have as well shown a progressive decline in poverty rate between 2009 to 2014.
