AMINDA: Lol. Waiting for the Batists from Iragbiji that would take over this thread, telling us how "Northern elites" are behind Tinubu. The signs are becoming clearer. Muslim-muslim ticket will offer no political advantage in 2027. The President would be better off ditching Shettima and scouting for a Northern Christian Vice. Since his strategy seems to be replacing Northern majority for the minorities, it will pay him more to go all out and strengthen his new base. Salty tears all over this post . You're trying to deflect from the issue of the thread, you don fail. According to what Vasta said yesterday that 36 of Elrufai and Babachir Lawal cannot stop Tinubu. He said the North is divided because Buhari divided it. And less than 24hours, this news is coming out. How can you explain that the Northern cleric are in disagreement with the Sultan and could challenge him to the extent he had to postpone this Quranic recitation indefinitely, has it ever happened before?. The earlier you stop deceiving yourselves, the better. |

TimeManager: For the first time, I am believing that truly the North is divided. Also, if the authority of the Sultan could be challenged on this issue and he suspended the convention, therefore, his opinion on Sharia in SW and other issues about Fasting, does not hold water anymore. There's obvious rebellion against him now. My observation.
-Kiss the truth! Agreed, North is divided, they can't even agree over Quran recitation much more political matters. |

rigid123: The governments across the East must collaborate with their various house of assembly to make laws to sanitize religious practices. The recent shenanigans must be tactically stopped.
1. Before you are approved to work as a junior pastor in any church, you must have a masters degree from a reputable theological institution with other stringent requirements including clean character, you can't just go and interpret what you don't know in the name of "calling this and calling
that". 2. Before you are approved to work as a senior pastor in any church, you must have a PhD from a reputable theological institution with several years of experience and other stringent requirements. 3. Before you are approved to open a church or prayer ministry or any religious organization, you must have a PhD from a reputable theological institution with several years of experience, mentorship from a respected church owner, clean character and other stringent requirements.
4. Before you are approved to work as an assistant native doctor in any shrine, you must have a masters degree from a reputable witchcraft/traditional institution with other stringent requirements including clean character, you can't just go and do whatever you like and get away with it. 5. Before you are approved to work as a senior native doctor in any shrine, you must have a PhD from a reputable witchcraft/traditional institution with several years of experience and other stringent requirements. 6. Before you are approved to open a shrine or any traditional religious organization, you must have a PhD from a reputable witchcraft/traditional institution with several years of experience, mentorship from a respected shrine owner, clean character and other stringent requirements.
7. Before you are approved to work as an imam or Muslim cleric in any mosque you must have a masters degree from a reputable muslim theological institution with other stringent requirements including clean character, you can't just go and interpret what you don't know in the name of calling this, calling that. 8. Before you are approved to work as a senior imam/clearic in any mosque, you must have a PhD from a reputable islamic theological institution with several years of experience and other stringent requirements. 9. Before you are approved to open a mosque or any Islamic prayer ministry or any islamic religious organization, you must have a PhD from a reputable Islamic theological institution with several years of experience, mentorship from a respected mosque owner, clean character and other stringent requirements.
Existing religious institutions and preachers should be given one year to meet these requirements or close down.
Even foreign guest preachers invited to preach or foreigners who want to open any religious organization must meet these requirements with more scrutiny.
This will not in anyway infringe on anyone's right to worship. It will not work against the existing constitutional rights to association or worship rather it will strengthen it.
If there are requirements to become a banker, lawyer, doctor and all that, they should be requirements to become a cleric.
They actions of the clerics, priests and pastors have direct impacts on men, women, youths, families and the society at large and thus should not be left for anything that goes, as it is right now.
Note: I'm a born again Christian but what we have witnessed in recent years calls for check and balances in these religious institutions. You want to write your own constitution. See as you carry PhD for head. Many of your politicians are PhD holders yet they're worse off. |

femisplash: I was anticipating African leaders would run away with the title of undisputed royal spinelessness but the Arab leaders eventually took home the crown. How do you explain this?, this was excessively fast!. A few days ago, Arab leaders were belching out fire at Trump over his idea of relocating Palestinians. It was a mere bluster, all sizzle no steak. Their reputation went up as high as it quickly came crashing down. Take a look at them, they looked like a drenched cuckold with hands on their crotches while Trump takes the lead like an Alpha. What in the name of seven hell are they thinking?.. Within a couple of hours, Trump recanted from " displacing Palestinians and taking over Gaza" to " relocating Palestinians and rebuilding Gaza". Such inconsistency is laced with an ulterior motive. This is a potential repeat of Nakba, when hundreds of thousands fled or were driven from their homes before and during the war that followed the creation of the State of Israel in 1948. Many of those refugees ended up in Gaza, where they and their descendants make up three quarters of the population. Another 900,000 registered refugees live in the West Bank, while an estimated 3.4 million others live in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. Israel recently withdrew its troops and settlers from Gaza in 2005, though it retained control of its shared border, airspace and shoreline, giving it effective control of the movement of people and goods. This is going to happen again and all of these Arab leaders are not going to be able to do anything about it, not even Saudi Arabia who poses not only as being a weak leader but a pliable one at that. As soon as Trump was sworn in, the Saudi Prince pledged a $600billion worth of investment to Trump over the next four years.. Could such a country ever look Trump in the eyes?. While the King of Jordan is still waiting for Cairo to make a decision, Cairo has presented a rebuilding plan without displacement to Trump, meanwhile, Trump was very confident that Cairo is going to 99% provide a space to accommodate the displaced Palestinians. February 25, is the next Arab Summit, we look forward with keen interests what they come up with but personally, I'd take whatever they say as a mere political statement and I am predicting that Trump will tear the paper into shred and have them come around to sign on the paper prepared in the White House. O boy, why you finish Arab leaders like this, easy na |

Obi was governor before this clown.
Obi was under tremendous pressure to build a palatial govt house for corrupt purposes but didn't. He was even impeached because he blocked it.
A trader had the common sense to prioritize the development of his people over his own luxury.
While a first class professor of economics does not have that same common sense.
