What's this one saying?, how much price did Dangote say wanted to sell it?. Abeg park one side.

Theory is different from practicing.
Oil sector effectively decentralized, yet Dangote in one of his statements is spitting words of regrets and even looking for a way to sell off his investment.

Is he acting out on what he doesn't know or is he looking for public sympathy from gullible Nigerians?
Words of regrets like what? give examples & stop talking ignorantly.

Even if he did not open his mouth waaaaa as you said, was there provision for subsidy after June 2023? So the mere fact that Tinubu informed Nigerians that subsidy is gone is now the offence he committed?
Explain to them from now till tomorrow, the negative narratives in their minds is what they will keep repeating. As if they were not in this country when the PIB was passed into law under Buhari and the following budget was also passed without subsidy.

Same people that refused to allow Jonathan remove subsidy. I started using Buhari since that time. You that was one a petroleum minister in late 70s and a former head of state that supposed to know what is happening better.
When a sitting President chooses to be weak, that's his cup of tea. Tinubu told you during the campaign that he would remove subsidy even if Nigerians protested. He came in and did it. A President must be able to stand firm in his resolve.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Resisted IMF, World Bank To Protect Poor — Wabba, Ex-NLC President by Putindbutt(m): 7:08am On Jul 15, 2025
According to Wabba, Buhari’s most significant pro-poor policy was his steadfast refusal to remove the petrol subsidy, despite immense pressure from international financial institutions. “Despite intense pressure from the IMF and the World Bank, President Buhari stood his ground and refused to increase the price of refined petroleum products beyond the reach of ordinary Nigerians. He chose to stand with the people,” he said.
I don't know why we have a short memory or selective amnesia in this country. In 2022, Buhari signed the PIB into law, the law became effective. Under the PIB, fuel subsidy is no longer backed by the law, it becomes unlawful. And due to this fact, Buhari did not make provision for fuel subsidy in the 2023 budget, hence, why Tinubu said subsidy is gone. The subsidy at the time was only provided for a six month period which was supposed to expire in June 2023. As a matter of fact, Tinubu still continued with subsidy till the end of 2023 - mid 2024 due to high exchange rate after the naira was floated. Right now, subsidy is effectively over and the oil sector is effectively decentralized boosting investors confidence in the market to invest and maximize profits.

But Tinubu will not win reelection, that’s the important thing to know
Stop consoling yourself, nobody intimidated you during the Presidential election, they only gave you a bit of home training during the gubernatorial election when una dey run una mouth after the Presidential results. Unlike you who were threatening and bullying APC supporters from voting for APC in the SE during the Presidential election. If you don't know how low APC can go to propel propaganda against Obi and Igbos, then you don't know politics.

This is why I advise Obi to be open to an Atiku-Obi ticket on whatever party, let's see how well they can convince a Sheik to speak against Atiku in favour of Tinubu. grin

PoliticsIMF Commends FIRS Tax Reforms, Pledges Support by Putindbutt(op): 3:47pm On Jul 14, 2025
A Senior Economist at the Fiscal Affairs Department of the global body, Paulo Paz, gave the commendation on Wednesday at the opening of the IMF-supported Headquarters Mission at the Revenue House in Abuja.

Paz said the IMF recognised the “good work that FIRS has been providing to the citizens,” under its chairman, Zacch Adedeji, adding that the Bretton institution would continue to support the agency in delivering effective tax administration for the growth and development of the country.

A statement by Special Adviser on Media to the FIRS chairman, Dare Adekanmbi, said the mission of the IMF team to Nigeria was to explore areas the organisation could further support the agency in addressing the challenges that might arise, particularly with the recently signed tax laws.
According to him, the new tax laws will have a new impact on Nigeria.

“And we want to know how we can best support you with this new challenge. Our take on the four tax laws is, first, a recognition of the very good work that FIRS has been providing to the citizens.

“You have at the same time the recognition and new responsibilities with these very powerful laws, which will increase the relevance of the tax administration in Nigeria.

“I want to express our honour of being here and being a partner of FIRS. Thank you for your trust in our advice. We congratulate you on the good results so far. There is more to come, and we are here to help,” he said.

Adedeji, while welcoming the visitors, applauded the IMF for journeying with the tax body, saying that the relationship would continue when the agency transitions to the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) next year.

Adedeji, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Tayo Koleosho, specifically lauded the IMF’s collaboration with FIRS in the portfolio management and compliance programme.

“The IMF has gone on this journey with us, and I think we are in a good place to continue the journey together. We are working together in digital transformation, VAT automation, and looking at even the compliance programme and the ability to automate some of those things.

“I am interested in corporate plan and the nexus of data portfolio management so that we have our strategy being dissolved into those manageable tasks. It’s very important that those things are well
In her remark, coordinating director, Corporate Services Group, Bolaji Akintola, explained that the IMF has been a critical stakeholder in FIRS’ journey towards tax system reforms targeted at improving domestic revenue mobilisation.

She said FIRS, with the support of the IMF, conducted two systemic evaluation exercises using the Tax Administration Diagnostic Assessment Tool (TADAT) between 2018 and 2023.

“Each of these exercises was followed by a post-TADAT mission where a reform roadmap was developed to address the systemic weaknesses that were uncovered by the assessment.

“The fact that the results of the 2023 TADAT showed significant improvement on those of 2018 is indicative of the commitment of the Service towards institutional excellence.

“Let me assure you that if another TADAT is conducted today, the result will be better than that of 2023 because a good number of the weak indicators from the 2023 Performance Assessment Report have been addressed and some have been codified in the four tax reform laws recently signed by President Bola Tinubu,” she said.

PoliticsRe: Bayo Onanuga Reacts After Amaechi Said When Tinubu Was Angry, He Went With Elruf by Putindbutt(m): 3:26pm On Jul 14, 2025
“When we had issues with holding the convention, I asked my leader (Tinubu) to lead us to the convention. He turned to me and said to me, Let's go, and truly, by 8 pm, the convention started.”
What a revelation, so without Tinubu, the 2014 convention would not have held. And you see some people saying Ameachi singlehandedly made Buhari win the primaries against Atiku during the convention yet this is Ameachi confessing that he had to beg Tinubu to lead them to the convention. Yet some arm chair analysts will be deceiving some people with concocted stories.

If you like, you can play the ostrich and bury your head in the sand and pretend not to see the crowd. But that will never change reality.

Your perception has nothing to do with reality on ground; which is that Aregbesola is still popular and would be the greatest antidote to whatever joker Tinubu is trying to throw in the Southwest in 2027.

With Aregbesola, Lagos votes will be protected. Thug for thug, war for war. Same across all Southwest states.

You will not have a repeat of 2023 where Obi got over 900k votes but was later cut down 540k votes because there were not enough men on ground to protect the votes.

It’s ite missa est for Tinubu.
