But there’s really nothing I can do the consular department never picks up their phone and I don’t know what to do anymore

They should. I submitted mine on the 3rd and still under processing. I think you will be taking a big risk by withdrawing from Abuja only to start a fresh 6weeeks application in Lag. Why don't you put a call through to the high commission?

At this point im tired and sick of south africa high commission abuja but i cant forsake my family.. Applied since 19 june 2018, they promised my wife i will get notification today but nothing as im talking to u.

They told me to just check vfs but I didn’t receive any notification so I didn’t bother mine has been since August 29th I don’t even know what to do anymore

I've been notified by VFS that my passport is ready for collection today after receiving a call from them on Sunday confirming my details.. Waiting on UPS to deliver.. I pray its good news

VO: Hello l'm Mr xxxx calling you from the SA high commission...you applied for a study visa?
Me: yes I did.
VO: what is your name?
Me: I replied
VO: what school are you going to
Me:UCT
VO: what course?
Me: mech and mechatronics
VO: who is sponsoring you?
Me: my father, and he has a company (said that because I used my father's company account)
VO: when is the course starting?
Me: the school resumes January 28 but I'll fly January 25th( that's what I stated in my introduction letter and that's the date in my flight reservation that I submitted)
VO:okay..then he said something like confirmed I didn't hear clearly though and he hanged up immediately

I'm wondering why they had to call on a Sunday.. What if I was in church ....i wasn't the one who picked at first.. I hope there's no problem with that?

My study permit since August 29th from abuja commission is still not out tho they’re saying they’ve cleared their backlog

I don't live in abuja. I used speed post EMS. High commission have received it. They will take it to the consular dept for me.

That’s what they always say then you’ll hear nothing back ... how long have you been waiting ?

Is just a normal letter of reminder and i do attached email that i got from home affair. And copy of my receipt. Called high commission this noon and they confimred they have received my letter and they will take it to consular, Tommorow i will call for confirmation.

Dont mind the clown.. South Africa is actually a great Country.. This is my Third month working there.. Infact Nigerians are RESPECTED by other Foreign Nationals because of how they stand up to South Africans.. In the area where I live. Nigerians are treated as Kings because they broke the Rich-White Dominance of that Area.

I’ve also lived in SA for two years whilst schooling so I dunno what he’s talking about damn hater
