@Sheddymore,

In line with respecting the rules of this forum, Justwise's assertion that i dont allow PM, and neither ask people to contact me is right, becauss this isa public forum afterall where everyone is supposed to post their opinions and all that so other people can learn. On that aspect, i have to respect the rules of the forum and keep communication online here at all times.

You and a few nairalanders have contacted me via email and i can boldy say i have never asked anyone or even spoken about financial with them. I always respond to their queries in capacities where they can navigate solutions by themselves.
Good evening can you please reply to my email I wouldn’t be messaging if it wasn’t urgent

It should be out this week. I applied October 11th and I just got a message that it's ready for collection. When they called me about two weeks ago, I was told they are having some challenges
They called you two weeks ago ? Or you called them ?

I got my CSV on Friday, for a job I should have resumed a month ago after I had applied 3 months 3 weeks ago.

In everything I remain grateful to God, especially since its been issued. But I'd say this, try to get someone with leg to have a look at your application If you are in a similar position.

I don't have information on how helped me so asking me won't help you. I just knew someone who knew someone who knew someone and it got issued in 2 days.
Please help how can I also get someone with leg we can talk privately if you want

Hello House

I submitted a critical Skills visa application back in August, it's now close to 4 months, and nothing.
I have been to the high commission, VI physical on several occasions, and they say its awaiting approval from the consular General. How many years does he need to approve?! It's getting ridiculous.

I just now heard of this supposed backlog, When will this backlog be over. Any ideas huh
The backlog is in abuja tho

Hello everyone,

I have read back almost 100 pages (and still reading) but since I haven't seen a question like mine and time is of the essence, I would like to ask for assistance.

I have studied in the UK and spent about a year, and the information on the SA home affairs page reads, "
If you are 18 years and older, a police clearance certificate from each country in which you resided for 12 months or longer since the age of 18 years is required."

So is it right to guess I need a police clearance from the UK?

I have seen an online site to apply for one but if anyone has gotten one before or knows someone who has, kindly assist with any helpful info.

Thanks.
Yes you will have to get a UK police clearance

They close by 4pm. So i am not sure if you can still go and they will allow you in.

However, if you don't have an sms or email by now, then it is most likely not there. I spoke to someone at the Consular section and he assured me to go and wait, that they will send a batch this evening. Got there by 245pm and it wasn't there. The lady asked me to wait that they were expecting another batch, and when it came, mine was there.

I got my sms when i returned to the office.
Please how did you reach someone from there ? Please I’ve been directing messages at you and you’ve been silent

My contact is telling me they are trying to clear out the back log. So whose travel dates are due for this weekend will likely get theirs tomorrow if it is approved.
Did you get them to check your own application tho because anytime I call them and they transfer me to the consular department no one ever picks up .

We dey the same boat. Still chasing mine. I was at the High Commission on Monday and Tuesday. Bros, I don't know, but it will be a miracle if that thing comes out by tomorrow. They have close to 2 months backlog.
Yeah they told me about the backlog too it’s frustrating haba and they don’t ever pick up their phones to at least know about my application
