segcy.moor:@segcy.moor, You are and will always be my guy. I still have you in mind once everything aligns. This whole issue is just shameful. Clearly both sides are at fault, but the fact remains money owed needs to be returned. Project management is not for everyone. Brabus seems to be too ambitious. While age doesnt necessaily determine financial prudence, sometimes experience is very important. Some people need to learn that it is not all business deals that should be accepted. Looks like the client was also being cheap (like most people are). Brabus should have stood his ground. We Nigerians sometimes want a Bentley with a Toyota budget. It is up to the contractor to reject the business. Brabus, if you are reading this, my advice is that you reach out to the client as well as other clients that you have had this issue with in the past, beg for forgiveness, try to pay all monies owed, and start afresh by working with someone that is more seasoned in the field. Stop trying to clear your name on a faceless forum. It wont work. Deal with your clients directly (free PR advice). Your education as a computer scientist has nothing to do with your failure. You obviously have good marketing skills and you seem to have a decent understanding of the field. You just need to work with some seasoned and successful contractors to improve the areas that you are struggling. Knowing your weakness and working on it is not a sign of failure. I also suggest you do not take on any projects for now. God will provide a way for you to repay your debt. Taking new projects will only worsen the situation. You will be robbing Peter to Pay Paul and may never catch up. Take a break, set up a repayment plan with your debtor(s), work for a bigger contractor, and pray. God help you. |
I think BRF/El Rufai tix will do very well. They are both proven candidates, younger, and are less polarizing as Buhari/Tinubu. Only thing is the fact that are they both muslims. But I think Nigerians will look pass that. Everyone is tired of the PDP regime. No single person in Nigeria is a saint but we will take the lesser evil. |
Great topic. Do you guys think interstate transport (i.e Lagos-Benin) is better than local routes in terms of profitability and stress with drivers/touts, etc. |

This post raises a lot of issues. First, i seriously doubt this poster is a real omo- Eko. Otherwise, he/she should have realized that Eko ti baje tipe tipe (Lagos was ruined a long time ago). The infrastructural decay in Lagos started right after Jakande's administration. From Mudasiru in 1984 to Marwa in 1999, only Raji Rasaki and Otedola did something meaningful during their tenure. Although i agree with you that Fashola's two years knocks Tinubu's eight years, i think Tinubu started something great. He put all necessary tools in place to ensure a very effective Fashola administration. People seem to forget that without Tinubu, Fashola will not be in Alausa today. Millions of Lagosians did not support Tinubu's move to plant an unknown outsider as the next governor of Lagos. But looking at it today, the outsider status of Fashola is whats helping him rule effectively. I strongly doubt Tinubu or even Engr. Funsho Williams would have been able to clear building on Lagos- Badagry express way. Tinubu would not want to tarnish the legacy he has built during his NADECO days. And lets remember that Tinubu had serious legal issues questioning his legitimacy as Governor of Lagos state. I feel like his biggest problem was promising more than he could deliver. But again, tell me a politician that is bit guilty of that? In my own opinion, Tinubu was good and Fashola is Better. And btw Eko o ni Baje, Oju o ni ti Eko, etc are very old slogans real Lagosians have been saying for years! |
Fellow Nairalanders, does anyone know how to get into Nigerian Law School if you have a U.S bachelors degree. Since there is no school that offers undergraduate law degree in the U.S, how can one go about getting accepted into the Law School. Please help. |
