I don't blame the lady, I thought I'd marry earlier, my own mistake was waiting for money, relocating but at the end of the day, you need to work with someone and grow together.
Laryfrosh: Hello Boss, I once stumbled upon a quote someone made on your comment here on NL, where the person was advising about SF, and how he got deep into it in Canada, and is still getting something out of it even while in Nigeria. I have been trying to get back to the quote but I can't find it. Could you please check your mentions and share, so I can get to see it again? Thanks
Start with sicp and compiler red dragon book , mit lectures on algorithms also helps.
I think reading sicp and compiler red dragon book is a waste of time, his goal is to be an Enterprise dev not a system programmer, this is something you read, if you are that passionate about low-level. But the MIT is not a bad idea though
SourYoghurt don't succumb to tutorial hell, you have enough Java knowledge to start, with LLM and AI, you can use Grok to learn the quick concept of the rest along the way. Spring boot is more close to J2EE so the little J2SE you know is enough, You need to enter Spring boot and learn more about DI, Bean and others.
Honestly while sharing this, the Spring boot doc is more than enough. You are doing what I did, which is trying to learn 100% of everything which doesn't help, just learn enough and start a simple project.
danielclerkson: So i've heard, it is one of the main reasons i want to choose it tbh
Use it, don't succumb to any Arch pressure, unless you maintain Linux or something it's a waste of time, but if you are deep in Linux and want performance Arch is it. But for me I'm a money person so it's a waste of my time.
Laryfrosh: Oh! I kinda took this advise of yours. Looked up YouTube and Udemy and noticed that most tutorials on chrome extension aren't so big. So, I just went ahead to add it to my profile on upwork. Within a week, I got an invite for a gig, submitted my proposal and I finally got my first gig from upwork 😎
It has Supabase (DB), next.js (for web app, both FE and BE) and chrome extension. I just hope and pray I deliver it soon enough. So, I can get my first review on upwork.
