I don't one shot applications, I do like module by module so I'd write some parts and have AI generate some boiler plate codes. But anything frontend I leave it all to A.I I'm already good at it and AI is also great at UI. It's a win win

I'd advise using LinkedIn, Upwork is competitive right now, you might want to explore cold-emailing

It's been a while, anyway since been on Upwork, things have changed and all I can say is you might have to start cold-mailing and working on your LinkedIn personal branding, that doesn't require connect, it's hard but in the long run, you're better off not relying on a platform.

I can't remember learning anything anymore I just use AI and bid for whatever job I want. I barely hand write code these days except complex parts. The industry has changed now.

Don't be so hard on yourself, and luckily with AI, you don't need to code as much as before as long as you get the concept, and also sorry about the cancer part, wishing you speedy recovery and grace.
