I sent an email to the the address that sent the reassurance mail and i specifically asked abt d rumours that we will be resuming next year. He said the rumours are unfounded and we wil be contacted in due course.
I guess their due course means wen thy ar completely done wit d first batch.

This is quite dicey, it'll prove extremely abortive for First bank to recover the credit advanced by foreclosure, School blocks are special properties built for a specific purpose, that means; reduced demands and values. I think FBN should get jurisdiction over their income source instead, while allowing them to continue their day to day activities.

Alright. Then won't this take FBN years again to recover the loan that school borrowed?

Well, I think I actually did emphasized it severally. Thank you @DonYza for some more concrete info.

Whenever the date for next TS is fixed,we will hear from them... irrespective of a current TS candidate u may know. And it is all because of these doubts and freezing waiting moment was why FBN sent 'Reassurance mail' and also they created 3 Training Centres for a single TS Batch.

I think so far, we should be calm and understand that FBN has by far been the best Bank TS in Nigeria. Effective structure with follow up.

Once again, I bliv they are working tirelessly to ensure we resume soon and progress in order. Let's just exercise patient a little more, we r closer to the destination compared to where we r coming from.

We pray that God strengthen them and more wisdom is made available for them to keep carrying out their work effectively!

Mehn... guys are serious here oo... Anyway, from what I've heard n followed over time, most time those in TS does even know update of the next TS unless it's being mentioned to them, and they will know IF AND ONLY IF date of the next TS has bn decided, then these guys may now know when they r almost done.

What I just feel is that, the date of the next TS has not been decided so rumor is allowed.

But we remain positive that TS still hold again this year. We can as well make a prayer for FBN for sufficient provision and resources...and the strength to continue.

I don't think you guys will be resuming TS this year. Our process officially ends Oct 9th, then 2weeks rest before posting. I asked a friend that works with FirstAcademy, he said they're rounding up on all their trainings for the year.
You might get D&M mail this year but the possibility of resuming TS is quite slim.

I didn't want to say anything before but I've been in the same shoes of speculations every day that's why I'm here

Nice one Sir, I missed Training School cause of PTDF oversea scholarship induction that held in Abuja same week I was to resume training school in Lagos. I was given a second chance to partake in the second batch training school. The issue here is that we will leave for Germany by December, is it right to go for TS this coming October or just forget about First bank?

You all should just calm down na...sebi u just received Reassurance mail. You will possibly receive documentation mail later this month, and TS will start latest 2nd/3rd week in Oct.

U r closer to TS compared to where you started from. Just calm down. Get busy with whatever u r doing, giving ur best n increasing ur capacity as much as u can.

When TS start nw, no play , no social... all crioz work!

As a TS expectant too, I just get busy n put off every worries.

U said Sept 11 n u even said Documentation and Medical mail instead of Documentation mail. Sept 11 is far from this current date n Documentation mail is usually less than a week of notification


To the best of the info I understood, all the curriculum/extra-curricular activities of First Batch TS will finish very early in Oct.

Receiving Documentation mail in August is not possible. So, let us look forward to 3-4 weeks time and we shall all be rejoicing aloud. Amen!

FBN is such a wonderful organization... this is one of the best and most transparent/organised recruitment process so far.

FBN deserve the accolades. This worth emulating especially for firms that seek volume of talents/candidates during their recruitment process.

Am a fresh HND engineering graduate...I received 2 offer of employment in which one; is to work in ecobank as a contract staff and the other as a technical trainee in Néstle with a 50% probability of retainment at the end of the training period..now I don't know which one to choose as my reason for seeking for a job was to raise some money before going for service as the hope of an HND graduate of securing a good job after service is bleak..

Honestly, when I read tobasamuels' post... I would av just appreciated it if he was showing his literally skills but wasn't impressed anymore because the comment wasn't subjective or objective enough.

You haven't actually made enough finding n u are evaluating FBN pays to other Banks. I am not criticizing u here bro... neither am I expecting word lines from u.

And, it's quiet unhealthy to compare the pays because the bank that seems to be on the low side has the way they balance up to give good measures back to their staff compared to others. Just like the 5years, 5M car deal which will tie you down, won't u prefer it to simply get a car loan, where u can pay at rest n buy a car of your choice, comparing several factors like the road we have in this country, fuel consumption, easy access to repair etc.

Please, let's be more holistic n analytical before drawing out comment. This is a social world.

And much more, be appreciative. Remember passion is what brought you thus far... this passion will put you far ahead n wide one day n u will enjoy much more than you worth then!

FBN renovated First Academy Accommodation because of us... to give you comfort and convenient. 'Most people' won't prefer to stay outside. Accommodation is expensive in Lagos coupled with high T-Fare.

I want to believe the accommodation is for everyone if only the candidates in the batch exceed the capacity of the hostel... then u may be thinking of staying outside.

All these speculations will end when u see the TS mail tomorrow/Monday

With the above conversation... we can actually have our opinion but the truth is that I think we should just applaud FBN for been considerate.

Morever, some seems to be very excited to start already... It is just a week.. not a month extension. That is why we are a team. The best FBN could do for all those given complaint was just 1week extension, and that is simple enough. That one week can actually save someone a lifetime problem.


If you are 'ready already' be 'well ready' again. Preparation is never too much for any important occasion/event.

Keep calm... just be ready!

Well, a good observation. That means, it could possibly drop tonight too.

I think your friend should call them and ask to be moved to the next batch. He should not take that risk because it's clearly stated that 'must have completed NYSC" in the requirements for the job. Just to be on the safe side tho, he should not trust these HR.

'Not to trust these HR' I just want to advice we try not to make strict/harsh statements when trying to give valuable contribution. Especially when it comes to social media.

This NL page is very specific and the people who want you/will hire you has been very considerate even from the inception of this recruitment process.


Just say simple in your statement. You don't know them, so u can't just give a verdict about them.
