Isn't the useless presidency more of a useless dream? I've searched and searched and I've not seen how that presidency will benefit Igbos,so why beg for it? Does it make sense?
God1000: We shouldn't be talking about something like this in a sane and well structured society, but Nigeria is the opposite of that, hence the need to ask this germane question.
Though it sounds risible but we're faced with ugly reality right now, the 2023 elections will be characterized by cynicism and skepticism, there are already suspicions here and there, the political desperados will do anything humanly possible to undermine our democracy and the will/wishes of well meaning Nigerians, these knaves are also heating up the polity! we must unite together and stop them.
Their parochial interest and inordinate ambitions supersede national interest, all they are after is self aggrandisement and preservation.
Winning a presidential election in Nigeria is a tall order, it requires alliances and serious political maneuvering.
My concern now is that if South East is denied the opportunity to govern Africa's largest democracy in 2023, what will happen?
No they shouldn't beg for nonsense. A country of their own will be better. We can preside over ourselves the way we want to our satisfaction.
I'm sorry to say this but some christains are stupid. They can celebrate their birthdays, wedding anniversaries, even house opening ceremonies but come up with stupid arguments about christains. Zamfara appointed an Igbo Woman from Imo state as commissioner, nobody protested online about it here or abused the governor. Infact it was ignored as "one if those things"
But trust my "brothers" from the east when this same daughter of the oldest monarch in Imo state decided to go back and serve in her state. Some without reading the details (and partly because of her northern sounding name - Rabi Shinkafi) started shouting "islamization", "roachas no do pass like this" and other ethnic invectives.
Why I ask, why do igbos think like this? And the ones that don't (if there are ?) are silently complicit in this warped mentality.

Now that members of ESN have been caught in the act of cannibalism, they have pushed those ones to simon Ekpa.
Now this is the real situation of things in IPOB.
After the launching of ESN, funds were raised and usual, but looted by kanu and his team of fraudsters.
Some ESN members left to find work while some believed the war kanu promised and Biafra was coming.
As soon as kanu was arrested and the looted funds were discovered by Nelly Ofoegbu, they chased her out of IPOB.
This created 2 factions.
1) The faction of fraudsters( Nnamdi kanu, Chinasa nworu, Nnenaya anya, Kanu's family and inlaw, etc).Those who depend of Biafra struggle for livelihood.
2) Nelly ofoegbu, Simon Ekpa etc. Those who have not been enlisted in the IPOB payroll.
Now after exposing the fraud, Nelly Ofoegbu stopped fund raising to the account of Kanu's group.
Since funds stopped coming, ESN had to pledge loyalty to those who can fund them. Remember they are criminals and drug addicts .
Nelly ofoegbu and Simon Ekpa group could raised funds , so they are currently incharge of ESN/UGM.
While kanu's group used them during Anambra elections, after collecting funds from politicians, they dumped them. Unfortunately, Dr Chike Akunyili was sacrificed.
