I planned on going out to the gym today but just one look outside at the weather, and I changed my mind jare. It's still raining sef. And it'll rain tomorrow morning too. Imagine having a cold, grey, wet, miserable Monday morning... sad



Ah, tell me about this weather today. I dont like rainy days.

I also cancelled my gym plan because of the weather. Will go in the morning hopefully.

I actually plan to be doing 30-40mins run plus level 1 and 2 JM 30days shred say 5days a week. I wish i can really keep to it. The spirit is indeed willing but the flesh eh...God help us

Lol@ jumping for Africa. Nne, i got a bit tired and bored with level 1. Secondly, i feel like 27 mins workout is short. So, yesterday i did level 1 , 2 and the 6 weeks 6packs workout, although i didnt finish the 6packs thing, stopped about midway into it.
Today i am also doing level 1 & 2. Would have gone for a run at the gym but this weather today sef no follow, make i kukuma siddon for house o jare.

EfemanaXY and other gurus, come and explain, may be i am building muscles. I Feel leaner, my clothes confirm it but the scale is going up and not down

@EfemenaXY, i am on day 3 Jm level 1 30days shred, i also do add a bit of running to it.

Foodwise, i wasnt good yesterday, it was my graduation so i ate chinese with friends.

I came here to put up my grad pics for 30mins only to realise that spambot got me because of the post in quote. I am yet to figure out what it was about the post that i was banned for.

Don't slack oh! It's not allowed. I'm still struggling to hit that 60's mark. angry

Remember how I used to make mouth about climbing up and down all the way to the 5th floor at work? Now I've changed offices, I won't dare it. Not with me being on the 20th floor now. grin grin grin

The only stair climbing I get to do now when out and about is at the underground tube stations - Damiso style tongue tongue

I still do the morning exercises though, but not half as much as I used to. I wake up an hour early and just about squeeze in 30mins sit-ups / lower abs workout + 30 mins running. Can you imagine, a whole me doing just 30mins instead of my 2hrs run?

Thanks for the motivation. You know if not for your mention, i wouldn't have known this thread existed. I have just gone through a couple of pages and realized that the pain/ache i experienced following that video work out was not peculiar to me. In fact, i nearly thought i probably had a problem with my knees because i could hardly bend them especially at those stages that looked like squats.

Anyway, i am just gonna head to the gym now to run for 30 minutes or so....as the spirit leads.

Biko carry me along in this journey, i am still stuck at 65kg.

Off to the gym now, larra.

I half-heartedly tried the crash diet of a thing but didn't make it till noon. cheesy

Not really my thing, so I'm focusing more on exercising and eating clean. I stopped taking the lifts and have been climbing the stairs to the fifth floor, back and forth, several times a day, with a heavy back pack, all week. I even registered for the Saturday morning Adult Advanced swim classes at my local Health and Fitness Leisure Center...to perfect my strokes. Lemme see how that goes.

But good on you for the weight loss. Try not to put it back on oh! cheesy I know, easier said than done smiley

I will make efforts not to put the weight back on. Anyways, this is the biggest i have ever been all my life...used to fluctuate between 55-58, eventually, i settled at 60kg. I think i got to this 69-70kg because i relocated and with the challenges of settling and eating all manner of rubbish on the go, i added without even knowing it. My eyes cleared when fitting into my size 10 jeans started becoming a challenge. For the first time in my life, i wore size 12 jeans/pants.

I constantly loaded my bag with varieties of fruits and my cashew nuts so i had something to bite on whenever i felt hungry. Again, the fact that i was busy made it possible for me to cope.
I have realised that i tend to eat more when i am not busy. My mind just keeps manufacturing ideas of different things to eat .....na so my tummy go dey riot at the thought of all those food ideas.

Meanwhile, this your egusi soup set wella. I have not had soup of any kind in a very long time...may be up to 4 months or more sef.

So, i did my semi crash diet........anyways, not really crash dieting, just tried to eat once a day but had lots of fruits and cashew nuts.
I only worked out 3times this week as i was really too busy to do more than than.
Lost 2kg from last week friday to today.

Will repeat same next week and try and see the possibility of working out up to 4-6days. I have 5more kg to loose before 20th July, thats doable na, abi?

Check me and my fruit/nuts combo out....hahaha

Okay, I'm back on track. Did 1hr 30mins jogging today after 1 hour's worth of a mixture of intensive cardios and lower abdominal exercises. Weight this morning was 71.2kg. So it's game on Queen.

Hope you're still with me on this to lose the 7kg or so? smiley smiley


I'm still game oo. Havent had time to exercise though.....so, i am trying to do a modified crash diet. Plan is to eat one good meal a day and have fruits the rest of the day. I went fruit shopping today. Also bought a pack of cashew nuts today for snacks.

As for the skin on the chicken, i didnt take it off ooo. I think i will just start buying skinless chicken. But, it was grilled sha.

Congrats on your weight loss, your scale is really moving, mine hasnt shifted since then. Now, i am challenged all over again...... make i go pack my running outfit inside my handbag all over again, na so i dey carry am up and down ooo so i can always drop in at the gym anytime..lol.

This competion with you just started again. Hahaha

Well, me i just cheated big time today with this local naija sauce called ayamase with friend plantain and white rice. I just heard of it recently. Interestingly, i was introduced to it by a Ghanaian friend.

I think I am gonna go on a semi crash diet. I must get rid of at least 5kg by 10th June jare.

Buhaha......you meant to say THANK? Lol. Congrats jare. The weight finally shifted from 72, and me i just tanda for this 65 since that time.
Been crazily busy. Close work at 8:30pm and before i finish my close to an hour journey, it'll be too late to enter the gym as the gym closes at 10pm.

Chei...i am going to start skipping seriously since i cant go to the gym for now....Just that i am usually too tired to do anything when i get home

The last lap is usually the hardest, unlike the beginning which is easiest. My "problem" now is time. There just isn't enough of it. Twenty-four hours certainly isn't enough for one day.

Yea. I know the last bit is usually difficult to loose.

Talking about time, this week was just something else for me. I managed to workout only 3times through out the week, no time at all.

Meanwhile, here's me trying to do the 50-30-20 thing. Lol....

I've never really liked veggies, never ate them while growing up. I only started eating salads as an adult. Tried brussel sprouts one time but i just couldnt get it past my throat. I struggle with broccoli as well.
