Oh....thank goodness. Good to know he is eating, talking and not in any urgent medical situation. Sounds like he is stable.

I pray he remains stable till he gets to the appropriate place that will provide a curative treatmeent for him

By the way, how would a laboratory not have a working back up power supply? I tire joor.

You are in our prayers Djola.
The Lord will preserve your life.
You shall be back here to testify to the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord.
The devil cant cut your life short. No way.

Stay strong our dear brother

r231:
UPDATE!!!!

Hameed has been checked in, his vitals taken and he has been seen by the doctors. A specialist was also called in today to attend to him and the specialist asked the hospital to take him to a laboratory in surulere for  the tests but on getting there, the power supply was cut off and their back off generator was not functional so the test would be done on monday while we await the results of the tests being done at the hospital (in house tests).

As you are aware, he did not finish his tests at LUTH and the tests in Eruwa is inconclusive so we can not do much without those results so we need to wait so as to be really sure what is wrong with him to avoid giving the wrong treatment.

He is in safe hands, talking, eating and not in any urgent medical situation and he has also being admitted for close observation.

Someone was asked to stay with him to spend the night and his brother volunteered so he is there with him.

Hameed sends his thanks and gratitude for your graciousness and kindness towards him.

Does firstbank have mastercard? I used to think there's is verve card. If its verve card you have, you can download quickteller from playstore or blackberryworld and use it. Its efficient.

Yea. First bank has master card.
Anyway, i have used paypal option.
Thanks.

2. The same with laptop, i guess you want netbook laptop? size 14, 14.1 etc

I was told while in naija to budget 300 per month for acco, and i hear laptops cost about 300 too but if i can get both for less, then i will appreciate

Good morning everyone. Thanks to you all for the help from the other thread.

I finally arrived here on monday morning. Immediately i came out from the airport, it felt like i entered a deep freezer, was told it only got this cold that monday, though i also hear it is not that cold yet and i am freezing already......lol

Well, so far, i have called job house and they will deliver my application package for NI no application form soon. Have booked an appointment at barclays to open an account. I am still looking for acco though staying with a friend now, saw one online, a couple that wanted to rent a room in their flat, dropped my no, they called asked wat i do and where i am from, told them, the man said he'd get back to me, didnt hear from him again, called him and he asked 'you said you are Nigerian right' emmmm, someone came and viewd the place after i spoke with you earlier and liked the place and has made some deposit....well, my search continues

I need advise on how to get cheap but good laptop, need the small sized ones that'd fit into my handbag, don wanna carry hand bag and carry laptop differently.

Lectures have started and assignments are already pouring in and i intend to take everything academic very seriously, i didnt come all the way to lazy around......though everything still sounds a bit greek to me cos i started from final year since its a top up program and i didnt have my previous studies here, i know it'll take a lil time to understand and get used to

Please, pour in all the advise that will help me in this journey.

jamela: God has done it for me o, so happy! grin

Okay, so I booked flight for saturday, then decided to pray, count on faith and pay Etiebet's place a visit yesterday, and yeah visa was neatly embossed on my passport, sealed and collected.

For those who wanna know how long? I applied 8th Sept, Submitted biometrics 17th Sept @Vfs ikeja, Approval mail came on 25th Sept, Picked passport up 3rd Oct. My visa says issued 23rd though. I didn't get an SMS even though I paid for it. And I didn't register with TPcontact.

For my team-tier4 still waiting, best wishes, pls pray, I believe yours would all be out soon. I'll be heading off to the airport pretty soon, still packing up smiley
So if ya see a plane fly by, it might just be me in there, say hi and wave a lil to the sky and thank God for me, it would mean a lot to me.

Uhm, yeah thanks all those who assisted me, y'all know who you are, cc'd. @Cavenchy thanks for telling me about this wonderful thread wink

Signing off for now. Would be back later when I'm a lil bit settled. Got loads of work piled up for me already.

Yes, they should, but people has been complaining of firstbank disappointing them over here.
I would advise you visit your branch before travelling and notify them that you would be travelling to the UK so they don't deny transactions when it happens.

My GTB card has never had any issue here though

hhmmm.....ok, will find time to do that. Wish these yeye banks have functional lines to reach them on.

Please, what kind of things would I likely be asked at the POE?

It all depends on the payment method.
Paying with your card directly would always be cheaper, so if your school has that facility, then i would advise you pay when you get there

Alright, thanks. My Nigerian Master card can do that right? First Bank to be precise.

Please house, which is better, I am yet to pay up the balance of 2,125pounds to my school, should I pay up here before travelling or wait and pay when I arrive my school on Monday......the way I keep reading about bank charges and all, I hope paying in my school wont make me pay more that I would have paid if I had done it here.
