Hello house, I have a 4 year old daughter ( her birth was 4th November) and I want to register her in reception instead of nursery which is recommended due to the fact that her 4th birthday was after 31st August. We just moved to the UK in September and she hasn't started school yet. I want to know if it's possible to register her for reception instead of nursery. NB: my daughter was already learning to read in Nigeria, the things that are taught in reception she knows them already. I feel taking her back to nursery is like a double demotion.
Thanks, as I await your feedbacks. |

Hello @duchess
I just discovered that my daughter has 3 names on her birth certificate. Let me explain, her name on her passport and NIN is Okoye joy chiamaka and the name on her birth certificate is Okoye joy Chiamaka Ngozi. I totally forgot that her grand mum gave her that name and it was included on her birth certificate. I have already applied for visa for her and biometrics is on Monday. Pls is this going to be a problem? How do I solve it? |

Bwaal: Yes you can , just make sure you have enough to cover for spouse don’t forget while using OANDa rate give a bit of room for fluctuations eg if your Pof is 15m I will advice u put 15.3 or 4 Thank you. Please we haven't received CAS yet, though tuition deposit has been acknowledged. We want to submit POF but it's a joint account and the main applicant has declared in the CAS shield that his dependent isn't coming to the UK with him. |

Bwaal: You have to submit 28Days POF when filling the CAS shield…..she would get CAS as long as all documents needed are complete and not fake , Please Note university of Sunderland don’t play with financial records (POF) incase some wants to advise you on backdating Please Can the main applicant use a joint account as POF even after declaring in the CAS shield that his dependent spouse isn't coming with him to the UK? |

Kenn55: I'm in Canada but it seems our experiences are different. It seems you are battling with low paying jobs. I and people in my circle are doing high paying jobs. I have changed jobs 3 times in 4 years and each movement increased my pay considerably. When I came to Canada newly, it was rough. I had to go back to school, pursue an in demand highly skilled career and after my first job, I acquired hard core experiences and boom! I became a hot cake. There is no week, I don't get contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn for a job. I just keep telling them I'm not available for now until I'm ready to make another move. Please don't use your situation to discourage people. Not everyone will do 50k job. There are many factors that would contribute to how things will work for each person so don't use one brush to paint everyone. The reality is that some people will come and struggle, they may never get their dream job. But some will come and blossom. The only advice I give intending japarians is do your research very well. Have short and long term plans and pursue your goals strategically. If I continued in the same career path I was doing in Nigeria probably I'll be one of those people on this forum discouraging people from making a move. The summary is if you do your homework well, have a nice plan, with time all man go dey alright. Hello, please can you tell us some 'in demand highly skilled careers' in Canada. Thanks |

Ayolayemi: Hi House, Please i need your advise i calculated my CSR point and i have 441 I used the maximum IELTS score I am 26 years old I have ICAN but i know it is not acceptable. Please what else can i do to boost my score I am currently working full time in the UK as an Auditor Is there hope to be picked if i enter the spool Write your ielts, evaluate your degree and enter the pool. Make sure you select all provinces. You could get lucky and your occupation may be in demand in a province like Alberta and then you get NOI from Alberta. Or you apply to Saskatchewan. Your CRS score is very low and the only way forward is either look for ways to increase it or hope to get nominated by a province. |

Tonyamori: Pls anyone here who recently got Alberta NOI especially January / early Febuary this year . Pls reply this as I have some questions 🙏🙏🙏🙏... The submission part is confusing me and I don’t want to make mistakes . Pls is the first step to accept by sending my letter via the email ? First step is to accept the notification of interest. To do that, you will need to reply with a letter stating that you are accepting the NOI, include your EE profile number, CRS score(not sure about this) and email address in the letter. Check AINP website for the email address to send the letter to. When they receive your letter, they will send you a link to apply for AINP. |

Jhigan: Hello guys, Somebody directed me here from the Canada student thread. My wife to be studied Medicine in Morocco for 8 years on a federal government scholarship, and she just graduated last year November, and she's very fluent in both English and French, because the medical degree was done in pure French language. The only job experience she has is the 1 year clinical experience in between her studies. She's 27, about to be 28 this July. Somebody said that we should try the EE instead of applying for masters for her, that she can get ITA and even PNP from many of the provinces. Please, considering this profile, do you think she has any chance of getting it? N:B she has about $8,000 combined in both her Morocco account and Nigeria Dollar account, as savings she could make over the years from her clinical job and regular $500 monthly she got from the Federal government as scholarship money. 1 year work experience won't get her a high CRS score, But since she's bilingual, she should write both IELTS and TEF. She also needs to evaluate her degree result. What about you? Do you have a degree? Do you plan on evaluating your degree and writing IELTS? IT would boost her CRS score if you do. Applying with an accompanying dependent spouse would reduce her CRS score unless the spouse writes IELTS and evaluates his/her degree. $8000 is more than enough to cover her application fees and biometrics, but proof of funds, no Read Page one of this thread to really understand what I just wrote |

I haven't opened this thread in about 2-3 weeks and I'm surprised at the number of pages I have to read but I'm still reading. One thing that caught my attention is the processing time for people that got their invitation to apply last year, from their PPR testimonies, their processing time took less than 10 months and I'm shocked as well as extremely happy. I'm now very hopeful |
