Two female suspected robbers on Saturday reportedly engaged the police in a gun battle in a hotel in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Southern City News gathered on Sunday that the robbers locked out the police and engaged them in a gun duel for about half an hour.

The suspects were said to be operating in the hotel when the police arrived at the scene following a tip-off.

An FCT High Court in Maitama has sacked Donald Duke and declared a former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana, as winner of the presidential primary election of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, conducted on October 6.

According to the party, Duke polled 812 votes while Gana had 611. Gana challenged the result in court and sought to be declared the winner in line with the zoning and rotation formula of the party’s constitution.

Nollywood actor, KC Ejelonu, recently shared a post on her Instagram page about how no hospital in Nigeria had a particular drug she needed urgently to treat a condition she was suffering from. Hollywood actor, Emeka Ike, has commenced his campaign to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives.

Ike, 51 made the announcement on his Instagram page and shared pictures from his campaign.

The actor, who is from Imo state said he would be flying the flag of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) to represent Ideato South Federal Constituency at the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly.
