I just hope my problem is not from this our tv decoder am using. I have scanned, deleted and rescanned now all I see are Ghana TV stations on 51.5e �

First method.. Delete the satellite name you created, under satellite list. Then recreate it and scan.

Second method is to do a factory reset but instead of scanning ourTV as your fist satellite. You skip it and create a new satellite, then scan. Go back and make sure the channels are there before scanning the ourTV satellite.

Third is to check very well on your channel list, it should be there, what usually miss is movie Africana and not all the channels you listed. Let me stop there for now

My Our TV decoder scans and gets all the channels mentioned in the quote below. Saves them but once you try to view them later

I am going to make this simple for you. From a personal experience over the years. I have come to a resolve that buying a decoder that is embedded with premium =

African movie
Foreign movie
News
Music
And probably sports ( even if not live football)

That you pay little or nothing to watch, before you start thinking of adding other dishes or satellite position to watch other free to air station is the Way to go.

Because in do so.. You don't have to worry if the stations will someday go off or totally get bored of not actually getting anything premium or reasonable to watch, for yourself or family members. Whenever you turn your TV on.

As of today, only two decoders can actually give you that safety ( I stand to be corrected)

So which are they you may ask?

(1) Strong 497S

(price for decoder, around 20k or above) has a guaranteed embedded premium stations for African movie, foreign movie, news, news. That you pay not more than 2k5 to 3k yearly ( depending on where / platform you are using to subscribe from) . Which is achievable with just one dish. After that you can still decide if you wish to add an extra dish or 3 more dishes or LNB to get whatever free stations is out there. ( MEANING IT CAN STILL BE USED FOR FTA ) it's H.265 compatible and it multisteam.

(2) OURTV decoder

( company price 11900 naira but can not be more than 13k from outside source)
It also has a guaranteed embedded premium channels for African movie, foreign movie, cartoon, news, music, sports ( though not live). All receivable with one dish. After that you can still add three more dishes or LNB ( MEANING IT CAN STILL BE USED FOR FTA) However there is no software for now to make it multi stream but it's H.265 compatible .

However, there are still many decoders out there in the market that can be used to hunt for FTA stations but don't come embedded with premium station from factory.

TSTV decoder has their own channels as well and can still serve for FTA purposes but I am not confident enough to add it to the list yet. Judging from history.

So meditate on where your priorities lies, for in doing so, you will make a better choice on which decoder in the market suits your real needs.

Issue of parts is an old myth. Most importers of the low grade brands now import spare parts alongside their goods.
I know Polystar has a service center for their products for example

It is a nice suggestion only for people who may want cheaper brands with lower specs. But you should also take note of availability of Spare parts of those cheaper brands as they are not easy to come by. The core reason for getting Toks are Quatum loads of common models with ease of getting parts,also been cheaper too matters...

i think it's time for people to start to buy new version of cheaper brands.
These fairly used electronics of these days are not of same grade of before. A lot of them come with hidden problems which may not honestly show up at the shop of the seller.
Please lets learn to by brands like Hisense, Polystar and the likes when we can't afford the brand new ones of these LG and Samsung. Yes they might not have same picture quality but some of them are not so far behind.

So in less than two weeks, the Samsung TV that Acunon sold to my sister has stopped working. This time, its not coming on. But she has chosen to let go. She's not interested in contacting Acunon or repairing the TV again. I'm so very disappointed and sad because I was the one who told her to buy from him when she wanted to order online. It's very unfortunate. #133k, gone like that in this very harsh economy. This does not even include all other costs she has incurred the other time she had to go back to alaba for him to fix the TV. I have a similar set-up (1.6KVA - 24V) and I added 2 more batteries and it all cool.In my case my inverter has fast charging and power is relatively stable too at least 8-10hrs a day.

I was scared that the Inverter might not be able to fully charge the 4 batteries optimally, so I bought a 50Amp smart charger to support the charging excercise. The 50Amp charger is just there without being put to use because the inverter does the charging perfectly for now.

In my opinion, your inverter should charge the batteries if equiped with fast charging and you do have light for not less than 8-10 hours a day. Though the charging time required for the batteries to get fully charged will be a bit extended.

They have 2 nollywood stations, one for series and the other for movies.
The music station is still building its content so you get to see same music videos over and over again but you will notice the growth, though a bit too slow.
Their foreign movie station isn't bad either
sports stations are not there yet
about two cartoon stations

i will recommend it for those who don't really care about premium content and are not willing to spend much on subscription as it is a one time payment platform at the moment

Yes it doesn't.
Tried all permutations and combinations still error persisted.
Am still using it on battery now and everything is powered just fine but I want to get the error message cleared and also the possible cause


Could there be a way to reset the inverter memory or something as this error prompt could also be an error

You may need to troubleshoot with various scenarios:

1. What happens if you disconnect solar
2. What happens if you disconnect utility charging source
3. What happens if you disconnect inverter output load

Done that several times
Disconnected everything connected to it reconnected again and powered it. Same thing
Even waited for an a hour at some point. Yet same thing.
Started yesterday afternoon.

Both supply same power.
If it's from same manufacturer and of same spec except for battery voltage, then both would produce same waveform.
- 24v inverter will use 2 12v battery while a 48v inverter will use 4 of such battery.
-current sharing is a problem for 24v battery if you decide to use 4 battery whereas it won't be for a 48v inverter. For the 24v setup, one string will do more work than the other except you use busbar at every voltage point reference (0v, 12v and 24v).
-for a 24v setup, if using busbar you only have to bother about balancing only two block of battery whereas in a 48v setup, you're balancing 4 blocks of 12v battery.
-like earlier noted for a 2.5kva 24v is better in cost management. Don't think of only the initial setup, consider replacement cost. 2 vs 4 battery
-if you want to go solar, asumiing a single charge controller of 60A, a 48v system will be able to handle twice the amount of solar panel of a 24v system.
-if you intern to go lithium in future, 48v is best. Most premium brand, provide ideal cost savings in their 48v setup.

From experience, below 1.5kva 12v setup is ideal, below 3kva 24v and up to 6kva 48v. If cost is not a challenge, a 48v system is the best for the capacity you envisage.
Reason: lead acid battery perform better at moderate discharge and charge rate. If the rate is too high, capacity reduces. For instance, a 200AH battery may only be 150AH if current is drawn at 40A, 210AH if drawn at 1A, and 200AH if drawn at 10A dependent on the specification.

I am just a bit skeptic as how efficient the 24v will be as against 48v which supplies more power and possible produce a better pure sine wave

Given thesame design ethos, in terms of what they can power not much difference.

In terms of cost, you may spend a bit more on the 48v 2.5kva setup as you will need 4 units of 12v batteries to run 48v vs 2 units of 12v batteries with the 2.5kva.

Holding battery capacity needs constant, if standard battery size was 12v 200Ah, you could bring the cost of a 48v system down by using 4 units of 12v 100Ah. You will likely still spend a bit more as the bigger size batteries are usually cheaper per Kwh.
