Christianity EtcRe: Verydarkman Reacts As Prophet Jeremiah Withdraw Lawsuit Against Me (video) by Quest7777:
Every Human being has the fundamental right to pursue whatever makes him happy, provided he doesn't break the law of the land or doesn't infringe on other people's rights.

Any pastor who sells olive oil, bangles, necklaces, handkerchiefs, water etc as objects of miracles is not practising Christianity. He has also not violated any law of the land.

People who choose to believe that they will access miracles via such objects, are exercising their fundamental right to freedom of religious beliefs. They've committed no crime.

Then those who choose to criticise such pastors/members should do so within the boundaries of the law to avoid risking a legal suit for Defamation or Cyberbullying.

The soap is an ordinary soap manufactured for him by a soap manufacturing company, there is no Nafdac number written on the soap itself, Cos if there is then the content and the amount of these con tents will also be written on it .If the content of the soap is not written and you get called upon then you are facing stiff penalty. People get away with these cos no one calls them out.

PS to show this pastor is a fraud and people like you cannot see this, this is for you also incase you want to sell water and soap once you too receive your own gift

What Jesus Said About Selling Miracle Products, e.g. Water, Soap, Perfume etc.

Matthew 10:8 (KJV)

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

This is what Jesus said to those He gave power to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils.

Jesus said, "Freely Ye have Received, Freely Give".
Is the Bible the Constitution of Nigeria?
The issue here is Legality & not Religiousity/Morality.

The ingredients of the so called Miracle Soap is written on the packet and it's same ingredients as your regular soap, and that's what Nafdac certified.

People who buy the soap are those that freely chose to believe that Fufeyin impacted supernatural powers into the soap that transformed it into a Miracle Soap. And such people are exercising their legal right to freedom of religious beliefs.

So where did Fufeyin commit a crime and against who did he commit the crime?

Pls don't bother replying if you can't answer these questions?

I no sure say U understand wetin da happen VDM and Pst Jeremiah.

Both da water Nd soap (with other commodity ) doesn't have a NAFDAC number at all.
So all this while VDM has been making videos and testing the products on disabled people, the issue at hand is whether the products have Nafdac number?

Anyway Fufeyin claimed the Miracle soap was certified by Nafdac.

OK, but let's assume they have NAFDAC number, do you agree that a case of Scamming can not be established against Fufeyin?

You should focus on whatever is putting food on your table and leave Legal Perspective for those who studied or know Law ipso facto ....

You think it's just to rush to Court shouting Defamation, can he prove the Ingredients and also disprove the defence of Justification
The soap is an ordinary soap and that's what Nafdac certified it as.
NAFDAC never certified it to produce miracles.
Proving the ingredients in court can only establish that it is an ordinary soap. Nothing more.

If the court talks about miracle, Fufeyin will simply say God is the one that performs miracles via your faith.

Nigerians who buy the soap are those who freely chose to believe in Fufeyin's spiritual powers and in Miracles. So how do you establish a crime against him?

On the other hand. VDM risks conviction for defamation etc.
Note, I didn't say he's guilty, I said he risks.

Not in anyway supporting Fufeyin, but that's the way it is. Legality is quite different from morality.

Do you know this law is ambiguous, I have seen where a pastor has been arrested for "obtaining by false pretense( section 419)" because of fake prophecy?

Church shouldn't be a commercial place, once you turned your church to a commercial place, the consumer protection law will be applicable.
What's the details of this crime and arrest?
So Adeboye that prophesied that $1 will soon be equal to ₦1 can be arrested.

Look, as far as Christianity is concerned, this Fufeyin is clearly a fraud.
I'm only arguing that when it comes to items that involve faith and religious beliefs, the consumer protection laws don't apply.

Anyway let's see how the court case unfolds.

I wish you made sense.
If you buy a TV and it's not displaying videos how would you feel. Won't you scream scam? VDM took the healing water he bought to physically challenged people to heal them but none was healed so he has the right to vent the way any disappointed person would. He gave his honest review of the products he bought.
Your analogy does not apply to religious beliefs. You didn't buy the TV based on any religious belief.

People buy those healing water based on their religious belief that the water has healing powers.

If the church selling the healing water has committed a crime.
That will also imply that you exercising faith in the water also committed a crime.
Which means Govt is indirectly denying people of their right to exercise their religious beliefs.

Wrong example you used there, Bangle do not need NAFDAC number as it is not termed consumable. Water and Soap are consumable as using them can cause distress or harm
Haba, that's just an illustration. Oya replace the bangle with Water. Some churches sell anointed water.

I mentioned the relevant law, is under the protection acts, is it because Nigerians do not sue their churches for this kind of things, you think is not covered under the Nigeria law. This is 100% legal.
The consumer protection laws don't apply to items that have to do with your religious beliefs.

If a church sells a miracle bangle to you and you excercise your faith and believe that the bangle has healing powers. If the church has committed a crime, it will also imply that you exercising faith in the bangle also committed a crime.

So if such bangle sale is a crime, you are indirectly denying people of their right to exercise their religious beliefs.

If the anointing Oil is not commercialised, no crime committed. But once you offer a product for sale, it must serve the purpose advertised for.
You are just looking at the moral point of view and not the legal.

Look, things that border on belief is entirely your right & responsibility. Many churches sell bangles, stickers, water etc claiming they have healing and supernatural powers.

If you foolishly choose to belief such claims, you are only excercising your religious rights. You can't expect the law to avenge for your foolishness.

If it were so, all these religious centres would have been closed down by Govt as Scamming centres.

Most of you don't understand law, go and read consumer protection acts of Nigeria law. Especially the part that deal with" Implied duty of quality and suitability"
People pay for products and if it is not suitable for that purpose, then the pastor has broken the law. The onus is on the pastor to prove the water can cure and I doubt that one.
Let me ask you. Many Churchs pray over Olive Oil and the Pastor claims it becomes Anointing Oil with miraculous powers.

If you choose to believe that claim, has the Pastor committed a crime under the Law in Nigeria?

Oga your analysis is totally wrong..How can Nafdac approved a soap for a particular function, while the product is advertised that.it performed another function without any clear evidence..It is Like approving a Malaria drug by Nafdac that it cures malaria,u now marketed it that it cures anti-biotics. if truly that it will cure what he claims that d soap is curing at the court of law, he will be vindicated.I see that u want to use intimidation on VDM.Except court wants to compromise this case,I see VDM scoring 100-0 in this case..That Pastor will be disgraced
The soap is ordinary soap.

It's people that choose to believe it has miraculous powers and it is within their rights to believe or not.

It's the same way some churches sell Olive Oil as Anointing Oil with miraculous powers after praying on it. It's within your rights to believe it or not.
No court in Nigeria will convict the Pastor of scam.

Even people buy rings & necklaces from Babalawo, and bangles from Churches believing they possess supernatural powers.

As far as Christianity is concerned Fufeyin is a fraud, but I'm only looking at the legal point of view.

Christianity EtcRe: 4 Lawyers Said Prophet Jeremiah Will Be Disgraced & Rubbished In Court - Man by Quest7777:
Lets get this clear:

-Prophet Fufeyin manufactures soap,
-sends the soap to NAFDAC for certification,
-NAFDAC certifies the soap based on the listed ingredients, that it is OK for use by Nigerians,
-Fufeyin prays over the soap and presumably impacts healing powers into the soap,
-Fufeyin puts up the soap for sale,
-Nigerians who believe Fufeyin has impacted healing powers into the soap buy the soap.

-VDM calls out Fufeyin as a Scammer
-Fufeyin sues him to court for spoiling business for him, restraining him from further speaking against the miracle soap.

My opinion:
*Nafdac only certified the soap as ordinary soap not as miracle soap so Nafdac has nothing to answer

*Court can not convict Fufeyin as a Scammer. I have never seen any pastor jailed on account of failed religious belief or prophecy.
Also it will mean all these pastors who sell Olive Oil as Anointing Oil would have been convicted.

*VDM should be careful. He stands the risk of being convicted for Defamation, cyberbullying or some other criminal charges.

*I'm not in any way justifying Fufeyin. I'm only looking at the legal perspective.

In a statement released late Monday night of July 29, Igboho noted that since President Bola Tinubu took office on May 29, 2023, he has implemented policies that previous leaders lacked the political will to pursue.
The big question should be: has these policies impacted positively on the lives of Nigerians?
Answer is NO

So far, Tinubu's modus operandi is taxing the masses to poverty to settle the elites and his interest groups.

I encourage Nigerians to come out to protest peacefully against hunger and hardship like VDM.
VDM didn't commit a crime. Protesting peacefully is never a crime.

And it is the job of the police to ensure the rights of peaceful protesters is not infringed upon.

If Govt doesn't want protests, they should do the needful.
Nigeria is rich enough to subsidise fuel at ₦100 per litre, if Govt cuts down on cost of governance and wastages and effectively fight corruption.
