AAA593:Chukueze, Iheanacho, our Goal keeper & our Strikers, all na minus 1. ![]() None of them would make this BF team. |
Hello Tunisia...
|
This was what I expected Chukueze to be playing, not aimlessly running sideways with the ball. |
Goooaaal. Burkina Faso no be Nigeria. ![]() |
inderhappy:Our Goal keeper & the red card finished us +no good striker. Though Tunisia is well organised defensively. |
I don't understand why people still underate Cameroon. They knocked off Ivory Coast in their Group World Cup qualifiers. They may not play fanciful football but they are energetic & their work rate as a team is very high & they have some quality players too. +home advantage. Na dem get this AFCON. |
Let nobody be deceived by this man. Any match against Ghana will always be tough even if they use their reserve squad. Regarding our AFCON failure: Aside tactics, 1. We grossly underrated Tunisia because we topped our group with max points while they struggled to qualify as best losers in Group F & also lost several players to Covid-19. Therefore many were already looking beyond them to Quarter Final. We forgot Tunisia is a Top5 team of high pedigree in Africa. 2. Because of this underrating, we were under immense pressure to win. When under pressure, you become liable to mistakes & your performance won't be optimal. Tunisia understood the situation perfectly & set out to frustrate us in that match hence our mistakes which led to the goal & red card. 3. Plenty of distractions. Call from Buhari, needless visits by VIPs, financial promises, doubts about Eguaveon retaining the coach job, Okoye's incompetence & women posts on social media etc. As Westerhof rightly said, a good coach should be like a policeman, shielding his team from undue distractions. |
![]() This could very easily have been Nigeria vs Burkina Faso. Aside tactics, we grossly underestimated Tunisia & put ourselves under immense pressure to win. When you play under pressure, you become liable to mistakes hence the goal-keeping mistake & unfortunate red card. |
![]() No easy matches again but Senegal to go through. |
![]() Red card or Penalty shootout loading. |
Too many fouls in this match. No free flowing football. African football too rough abeg. |

What a miss by Mali. Dem suppose flog that player. ![]() |

![]() Mali vs Senegal for Quarter Final. |
Egypt in Quarter Final. Happy for Mo Salah. But don't see them beating Morocco. |
Egypt main & reserve goalkeepers are from their local clubs Ahly & Zamalek. & they they are both good. So disappointing Naija best goalkeeper home & abroad is Okoye. ![]() |
![]() If it were possible to replay the video of what everyone does in secret... |
![]() Cameroon just enjoying easy fixtures in this AFCON. So far they have not played any of top10 ranked countries. Another victory for VA, my guy.
|
![]() What made the failure more painful was the fact SE started off so perfectly with 3/3 wins & had the quality to go all the way to the Final & even lift the cup. Anyway they can pacify many fans with a World Cup ticket at expense of Ghana. Though I don't want to acknowledge this Buhari factor, but he should kindly keep off during the forthcoming WC playoffs. There are certain occurrences in this life that defy logic & scientific explanations. |
RIP Papa. Wetin de pain pass for dis kind death na the plenty money wey you go gather to feed whole community & friends (+enemies), all in the name of befitting burial. ![]()

![]() Since this does not in any way infringe on my own happiness, I wish them all the best. BTW many young Nigerians would wish to be in his shoes. |
![]() Make dem calm down. We had a better team than Tunisia & deserved to win. Tactics aside, you cannot rule out BAD LUCK. 1. Tunisia was supposed to beat Gambia in their last game to avoid Nigeria vs Tunisia in R/16, but received red card & eventually lost the match. 2. Their Covid-19 cases actually put us at a psychological disadvantage because many people then expected us to win easily thereby putting undue pressure on us. 3. When you play under pressure, you are liable to mistakes which is the root of Iwobi's unlucky red card & that goal. 4. Buhari factor. ![]() |
I hate this kind talk. Can give Ghana extra determination & motivation to play better. Just keep quiet & let your actions speak on the field of play. |
![]() On paper Senegal should win, but they've not been too convincing so far this AFCON. So I won't be too surprised if Cape Verde upsets them. Moreover this is knockout stage so anything can happen. Even an unlucky red card can mess up a good team. |

![]() I don't want to acknowledge Buhari badluck factor in our AFCON loss but he must stay away from our World Cup playoffs with Ghana in March. |
MT:Na Cameroon get dis AFCON. It even works in their favour for opposing teams to underate them & think they can never win the AFCON. ![]() |
See free kick. Why Naija no de play dis kind free kick. |
So impressed with this Comoros team. See determination & fighting spirit despite the setbacks. |
This Onana keeper try. Cameroun has always been known to produce good goalkeepers. Why Nigeria own come be different. |
Na Cameroon with their home advantage get dis AFCON. |
