mimilyrics: You won't be asked if you have friends and family in the uk on the T4 application. You can also use the additional information part of the form to address previous issues/inconsistencies. @Justwise and all, can he put details of previous refusals in the additional information part of the form or just stick to the question that deals with visa refusal since the ECO can always look up previous application decisions? Answer to this should help @question1 with this I appreciate your concern @mimilyrics |

Also, can I change some information I entered on the Visa form when I'm applying for my tier 4, or they should remain the same? What kind of information do you want to change? You sure right, I made a lot of mistakes that caused the refusal. Plus I have not discovered nairaland then. Information like do you have any friends/family in the UK? I ticked "Yes" because I used to have my uncle there but I lost his contact. Can I input "No" when fillingTier 4 application? |

Mzstephh: Don't be scared bro, the UK visa is actually one of the easiest (reasonable processing time) to get if you give the right documents genuinely, compose yourself well for their Skype interview, and have enough money in the account. Now to avoid the wahala why not have the money put in your account or parents account (where you can get a court affidavit stating they are your parents etc) to avoid any long ish? They want to see that the course you are applying for is relevant to your profession or past studies, and also is a progression in some way from your previous studies. Thanks mate! |

@Justwise and house, please help me answer this question.
What about someone who was refused a short term student visa twice last year, first was in May 2016 and second was June/July 2016. My application to attend the Kings College London summer school was rejected based on 1) I used my guardian as my sponsor but I didn't submit any evidence of his guardianship and also the origin of the fund in his account. 2) No relationship between my present course (economic) and my chosen summer school programme(Greek)
The second time when I apply using my uncle bearing same name with me.
2) No evidence of subsisting relationship with my uncle. 3) No evidence of tie to Nigeria because I was schooling in Ghana but applied for visa in Nigeria.
In view of this, I want to apply for tier 4 student visa soon, and I would like to confirm whether my past two refusals won't affect the future? Also, can I change some information I entered on the Visa form when I'm applying for my tier 4, or they should remain the same?
I'm always scared each time I hear UK visa. |

bennyjiks: Hello House,
Please do I need to include my original university transcript with my visa application? I have my degree certificate but do not have an original copy of my official transcript. Hope this will not be a problem when I apply. It might not create any problem, however, endeavor to include all the documents listed on the CAS which the university based their assessment before giving you admission. |

I'll be staying with a friend from late August when I arrive till Sept 1st when tenancy ought to start but further search, payment and paperwork will be done on my arrival. Is it okay to input my friend's address(my temporary address for about 1-2 weeks) or the school address? Thank you. Your school address is safer. Mzstephh: Hello sorry about that, that is totally unfair not even considering any factor ( visa fee, uni start date etc). I just checked online and it says the administrative review takes 28 calendar working days from the day you apply. Please check this link properly from page 85 https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/623341/T4_Migrant_Guidance_29_June_2017.pdf I also read online that you cannot add any further supporting document too, so I am not sure if you can add a letter. Apply ASAP and if possible fast and pray on this because it certainly doesn't make sense why they would just give flimsy excuses for no reason. Good luck bro, Exactly bro. Re-application is the best at this delicate time. Just be sober with the School because you have come this far with them. They should be willing to issue a new CAS. And about your school let them know the issue was with the the DATE of enrollment. and no harm from your part of the application. They should just issue a new CAS jare |

Emexnairaland: Finally I was refused entry clearance by ECO saying that I am not a genuine student under sub paragraph K of 245ZV. Reasons for the refusal are that, taking into consideration my gap studies (my last study date 2012) and vague answers during my interview. I was giving chance for admin review. But honestly I strongly believe that the ECO decision was unjust because I submitted evidence of my employment reference letter where I have worked and CV that showed my activities since my last date of study. I also explained it to her during the interview On the note of vague answer giving in my interview,Entry Clearance Assistant gave me an impromptu call for a second interview even while I was in an unfavorable environment I didn't actually know what the ECO wanted to hear from me but I am very sure I spoke clear and fast that she asked me to slow my pace while speaking so that she could type my statements. She further mentioned that the AC and noisy background of hers was producing echo. At the end of the interview she acted to have been satisfied with my answers. But at the end I was refused.
School was disappointed to see that as an excuse to refuse me but also classfied it under refusal because of credibility, therefore will not give me a second CAS unless I choose to go for admin review and is successful and that they won't get involve in the admin review. This is really a sad feeling and frustrating I was given a chance for admin review in my refusal letter, but the worry now is that admin review takes time to be processed, I might even miss out September intake If I choose to go for the review due to the delay in AR. I HAVE ALREADY PUT UP A GOOD WRITE UP AGAINST ECO DECISION TO REFUSE ME ENTRY.
Please Justwise, Ekpotek, other gurus in this forum I need your urgent advice. I feel very sad about it for it has really retarded my career plan. This is strange and I feel for you bro! But I thought you had planned on withdrawing your application earlier. BTW The stated reasons for the Refusal are just too flimsy and ingenuine as the ECO knew that your last date of enrolment has passed. As much as i can remember the AR are sometimes less or greater than 21 days before you get the result. However,I'll advice you to present a fresh application for September. Let your UNi know the circumstances surrounding the refusal that it all boils down to the passed enrollment date and that you would like them to issue you a new CAS. And apply early. And Pray. I'll also put you in my prayer. Take heart. And rise again. |

I'm not sure, but someone from an old post said it's good to attach a printout of the Oanda rate for the day your money started counting with your statement.
I can't start counting again o biko. It should better be dropping Hopefully it'll drop. I will start counting mine from July 10, The rate usually drop around wed and Thurs |

What dates do they use? Application date or beginning of count date? Wow!! Has it really gone that bad? I have not checked the rate lately. They use the rate of the day you paid for your visa. Need your kind feedback.
I applied to Ulster University (London Campus) for Msc Marketing.
Presently waiting on my 28 days before applying for a visa. Once I print my account statement and have applied for the Visa, am I allowed to touch the money in the account before a decision is made? Will it affect anything?
Also, the visa interview! What should I expect ? No, you're not allowed to touch the money until you receive your visa. And yes, it might affect everything as VOs always do their own verification of the money. Hence, Its safe to leave the money. And after the Visa is out, it won't be a bad idea to throw a party here with your maintenance fee lool |

mimilyrics: Nothing is assured. The school I thought I'd have no issue getting into was the one I had issues getting into.
It's always better to apply to more than one to give you a wide range of choices. I applied to 2 courses(MBA & MS HR since those were my specialization areas) in 3 schools, I got rejected for MBA in 2 and declined for the HR in 1. I got accepted for MBA in 1 and HR in 1. I picked my best option and I'm glad about my choice.
I suggest that you apply to other schools but you might not be able to get scholarships(if you are looking at that) because of the timing of your application. But then, you might still be in luck depending on the school.
I wish you the best. Which uni are you heading? |
