Please any input on the below would be appreciated, thanks Question1: Hello my people,
My girlfriend has just been refused UK Tourist Visitor Visa for 7 days holiday (see refusal letter attached). She's currently a student at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, and employed as a remote Digital Marketer with a company in the US. She has worked with this company since July 2023 and presently earn $1,782 every six weeks. The purpose of her trip is for a short holiday in London, to relax and experience the city’s cultural and historical attractions.
Kindly advise based on the refusal letter. In addition, what are her chances of approval if she re-applies and address the refusal reason.
Just to add, the missing salary mentioned in the refusal was, in fact paid the first week of the following month(April) and it appears the VO skipped that entry in her bank statement. |

Hey bro,
I don't usually come or post on NL but I somehow found myself here today! Sorry about all you have been through in the name of survival. I also respect the fact that you're trying to make a living for yourself by every legitimate means possible. I'll add that nothing is easy to achieve but with God's grace and little perseverance, everything is possible.
To get yourself out of poverty, you need to educate yourself. Information Technology is the fastest growing industry and with serious dedication, discipline, commitment and hard-work you can earn a living.
Do you have a laptop or can you get one? Can you learn programming or Data Science? I am willing to pay for your online courses, training and certificate. All you have to do is convince me enough on how you'll utilize this opportunity to be a better person. |

DuBooVay: It depends on your school. Best to be open with them. I got ten days extra and was told to inform the if there is any delay so they can assist me with extra timing. If your school is cooperative, I dont think theres any problem enrolling. Infact it will help keep you up to date. Did you have to complete the 50% payment before your enrolment date deadline was extended? |

olayanjuke: Good Evening house, Please bear with me, i have started from the 1st page and am slowly catching up. I need your advice, i just received my CAS today from UCLAN for January entry. Can i still start and finish the application before enrollment closes (I dont know which day yet) or do you advice i defer the admission. Paid the 4000 to get the CAS 10th of December last year. If you advice i go on, please i would want to plead with someone to indulge me and send me the summary of what to do. I am grateful to God that i can say i have already gathered all the money i will require for priority processing and other fees. Thanks and i am eargerly waiting for your replies. PS: All i have paid is the 4,000 Hey, I think your school would be lenient enough with the timings, when you’re unable to meetup. They must have weighed their pros and cons before issuing the CAS in the first place, knowing you’re already behind schedule. In fact, most schools have stopped issuing CAS letters and I’m sure UCLAN has issued you for a reason. |

BolaT53: Good evening everyone.
My course start date is 17th that’s for induction but classes start 24th. I plan on traveling on the 27th because of the timing of me getting my passport back though. My schools last day of enrollment is 4th of February and can extend to 18th of February for students with serious visa issue situations. Hope I won’t have any issues with the immigration when I’m traveling. Hey, Please what uni is that? |

I genuinely think schools should be kind enough to extend the enrolment date for students with visa delays - I mean it’s a win-win scenario for both the student and the school |

DuBooVay: Print your email communication with them and have handy I have had this question on my mind, considering the fact that all visa outcomes are based on probabilities and all, is it even advisable to complete the enrolment before you get your visa - plus you’ll have to pay 50% upon enrolment. Will all your money be refunded if your visa was delayed and you didn’t get through the POE? What would happen to the 50% and deposit that has been paid Any answer?? |

This is just so relieving bro.. God bless you!! Bourne007: Guy,
It will be stated on CAS that it's academic progression. As long as you dey do am inside UK, there's usually no interview as it is the school that needs convincing. Go to the school department and verify with them if it's truly academic progression. I know people who's gone through with no issues whatsoever provided you meet the financial requirements. |

Please I greet una!!
Supposing I was able to justify the reason for applying for second masters in Data Science, and the University deems it fit to issue my admission and CAS number. Would I still have issue convincing the ECO about my academic progression when I apply for the visa, given the fact that I finished Sept 2018. Or the University will settle it with UKVI?
NB: I had my first MSc in Economics, now contemplating between Msc Data Science or MBA. I love the two courses but I prefer DS because of the recent waves in Data handling and insight creation, trust me DS is groundbreaking and My MSc Economics was Just an eye opener of how Data can impact business, economics, finance, product and services.. Plus higher potential salary motivates me too!!
But how do I stand chance of convincing the ECO given that my university was willing to admit me due to my numerical and programming skills.
Do you advice I apply the Visa from Nigeria or the UK as the school resumes January!!

Please could anyone simply throw more light in the following issues.
1. I'm at the moment in the UK on a Tier 4 visa.
2. I have just recently completed my masters in Economics Sept 2018.
3. I have got plans to do another masters either in Data Science or MBA which apparently aligns with my ealier masters. Is this enough to satisfy Career Progression?
4. Should I apply for the Visa in the UK or go back and apply from Nigeria given the fact that my visa still valids for 3months. If yes, should I follow the same procedure and requirements in application and how long is the Visa process?
5. Thanks for you anticipated response and God bless you! |

Bourne007: The university will need to confirm that your new course (MBA) support your career aspirations. You may be asked for evidence to demonstrate that you are pursuing a career in this field. Once your university confirms this and issues you a CAS, you can apply within the UK.
So basically it's up to the University to confirm it's truly a career progression as they need to state this with UKVI. Many thanks bro!! |

He needs his own personal account to be fat assuming he has that kind of money in his account with a good outflow and inflow he might be considered. In this case, he would have needed to prove the source of the money e.g Bank Statement, business docs etc. Nb: Hes a non- working student |

justwise: You will find it difficult to get internship or voluntary with any organization in the UK on visiting visa.
I'm not sure i have come across anybody who was able to secure a visa to do internship in the UK from Nigeria though i have seen people go the opposite direction.
This should not put you off, keep trying and get your family in the UK involved as well. @Justwise, How about the possibility of the OP getting Visiting Visa based on his circumstance as well? |
