Yawns
Obasanjo came from prison with no Kobo, became president and now owns the largest poultry farm in Nigeria

Tinubu was indicted in the US for being a drug baron, he abandoned all he has and came back to become governor of Lagos state. Today he boasts of being richer than Osun State and owns private jets... How did he become so rich overnight?

Buhari claimed he has no money for election form but his wife accused her Aide of stealing over 2.5billion naira gifted to her. Just 3 years in office and she can boast of billions.

We can go on and on about politicians who became rich overnight. Politics and politicians all make money like Gandollars and what everyone is praying for is to take some share in the national cake.

Least I forget Atiku employs over a hundred thousand people and pays them salary at minimum wage. What has others been able to do with their loot? Eg Mr integrity

PoliticsTaraba APC Receives 5,000 UDP Defectors by quickberry(op): 6:29pm On Nov 10, 2018
Alhaji Sani Abubakar, the All Progressives Party governorship candidate in Taraba State, has received more than 5,000 members of the United Democratic Party and other political parties in the state, who defected to the APC.

The defectors, including local government and ward officials, had earlier left the APC and followed the former Minister of Women Affairs, Senator Aisha Alhassan, to the UDP.

Receiving the defectors on Saturday in Jalingo, Abubakar said with the publication of the list of the party’s candidates for various positions, all issues and grievances arising from the recent primaries have been laid to rest.

He appealed to all party members to close ranks and face the task of delivering victory to the party in 2019.

The governorship candidate said that the party had commenced the process of reconciliation by reaching out to some of the former governorship aspirants.

“With the publication of the list of candidates, the issues surrounding our party primaries have now been resolved and we have already initiated the peace and reconciliation process,’’ he said.

“It is good that you have realised your mistakes in time and have decided to return home in your numbers”, he told the defectors.

“Let me assure you that the task ahead of us is enormous; we should not be distracted by a UDP or anything else.

“I can assure you that most of the former aspirants are ready to work with us to rescue our dear state,” Abubakar said

We have achievements to display and have no time for exchanging insults with any party looking for relevance and cheap publicity by engaging us,” Bobbo said. Also speaking, the Adamawa APC Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, represented by Alhaji Mohammed Raji, assured the group of full support from the party, adding that the group was complimenting the party’s efforts. PoliticsWe Are Returning Nigeria’s Cotton Industry To The ‘Good Old Days’ – PMB by quickberry(op):
President Muhammadu Buhari, Friday, in Abuja, pledged the commitment of his administration to revive the ‘good old days’ when the cotton and textile industry employed hundreds of thousands of Nigerians.
Receiving the CEO of Vlisco Group, David Suddens, at the Presidential Villa, President Buhari welcomed the proposed investment of $200 million by the company in Nigeria, which will, in turn, create 700,000 jobs.

''I am very much aware of your company’s effort especially your investments in the textile industry, and it is one area that we are trying to develop because it will create employment and boost agriculture.

''To get cotton to grow again in the country is like going back to the good old days when the textile industry used to employ more than hundreds of thousands of people.
''I am very excited about the prospects of reviving the industry because it will keep farmers busy, create employment which brings more security, help the economy, transfer of technology and of course we have a large market to absorb the products,'' the President said.

President Buhari reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to forging a stronger economic partnership with the Netherlands, assuring the Dutch investor that the Nigerian authorities will continue to do the utmost to keep smugglers at bay at borders.

In his remarks, Suddens told the President that the 172-year-old company plans to use cotton grown in Nigeria for production.

''I want a new strategy that brings Vlisco manufacturing to Nigeria. I want to change the supply chain from Asia to Nigeria.

''For the total supply chain for cotton, textile and garment industry from weaving, spinning, printing to retail, we want to use Nigeria cotton and we have already started to encourage the creative industries in the country to find a voice and give them a platform across the world.

''I am convinced that it is time for the textile industry to move from Asia to Africa, '' he said.

Also speaking, the Dutch Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Robert Petri told President Buhari that the company’s visit was a follow-up to his successful visit to the Netherlands in July, during which he met with Chief Executive Officers of Dutch companies.

''Also during that visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between our two countries seeking more intensified cooperation. After that visit, there were more successive visits by top Dutch officials to Nigeria.

''This shows that we are seriously committed to furthering our collaboration,'' Petri said.
