KADUNA UPDATE: KDSG hires over 10,000 staff in last one year

Several agencies of the Kaduna State Government have since 2020 conducted various recruitment exercises for 10,000 staff. These include officers in the health, education and regulatory sectors. In March 2020, government had suspended the conclusion of the recruitment exercise launched in August 2019 to enable it to properly assess the fiscal impact of Covid-19.

Despite the uncertainty caused by Covid-19, the government has permitted its agencies offering the most essential services to refresh their teams with new staff, hence the preponderance of education and health on the current recruitment list. Given its commitment to provide 12 years of free basic education from Primary 1 to SS3, the KDSG is consistently recruiting teachers for its primary and secondary schools.

The Teachers’ Service Board has concluded interviews and other processes to hire 7,600 secondary school teachers.

Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital employed 283 new doctors, nurses and other essential staff in November 2020. This has allowed the teaching hospital to grow its roster of doctors to 191, from only 32 in 2015. With the 215 doctors in the State Ministry of Health, Kaduna State now has 406 doctors working in its public service.

The Ministry of Health has also recruited 1,064 persons, including 196 technical staff and 871 non-technical staff while 1,225 new staff have been injected into the Primary Health Care system.

At the tertiary level, the Kaduna State University (KASU) has also employed 159 staff since 2020. The College of Education, Gidan-Waya, has submitted a report on their recent recruitment process and is awaiting approval for the resumption of 388 new staff, including lecturers and other categories of personnel.

In the regulatory sector, the Kaduna State Water Services Regulatory Commission has hired 14 more staff.

As the Kaduna State Government proceeds with its policy of rightsizing the public service, it will continue to hire skilled and essential personnel. At its conclusion, the rightsizing exercise will establish any critical gaps that remain in the core civil service and the parastatals for skilled personnel. These could be filled by candidates that partook in the suspended recruitment exercise for the core civil service or any agency-specific recruitments as appropriate.

There is a rumor ongoing eventhough I personally don't believe it.
I was told the reason why we are yet to be invited for interview is because there is no vacancies at the various MDA's we selected.
However we will be call upon as soon as there is vacancies in our chosen MDA's.
So for now we wait.

I don't think I believe this as well,we will definitely be interviewed

I care not for what you say, just read the comment well. Someone said it is a lie and false with a filthy tongue and you had it harsh but when I react back you feel bad. Very interesting.
I did not just sit down I try my best to extract information which we can put on table for discourssion. If you have no liver for response, don't condemn other people's posting again bcs you will finally receive a regret reply.
I do all these for the benefit of all. If you have any other point to it you can counter it logically not by calling one a liar.

Someone said result for the interview will comeout possibly 1st or 2nd week of march. If this is true then I don't think they'll be able to meet up the timeline wrt to other MDAs.
I seriously have a feeling that they might just accept all the people that applied for MDAs that scaled through the screening stage , because with what I heard they need to recruit about 3000 people and majority went for Civil service commission.
Just thinking out loud oo!!

I thought as much too but let's keep our fingers crossed,I pray it favors us in the end

Wat i cn say is jst try nd do ur best ..then leave d rest 4 God as kdsg right nw is not even predictable at dis moment..

Results of d interview process will be out by 1st or 2nd week of March as confirmed by 1 of d interviewer...lets all pray we wont be subjected to any further weeding again...

Then what will happen to those that applied in other agencies or could it be there won't be any interview for the other agencies probably because they have the exact number of people they want already and as such there won't be any interview...nawa oo

just dress smart, I don't think much emphasis is placed on dressing; people did appear in different attires, here seems to be a cultural shift from what we're used to down south. In any case, just appear neat in whatever you're on, be it native or corporate dress

Finally, success to you all.l thank God that I impressed them from their responses. Full of panel of judge. Don't panic, once you don't know the first question just pretend as if you are meditating they will surely throw another once to you. Be composed, your course of study then current affairs, just two current affairs. I can only remember the 1 I'm sure of,,, how many member do we have in kaduna state? =31

Elrufai at a media chat said 3k will b taken, 5351 made it to screening even though some did not turn up for screening and some were eventually screened out. The process is just full of suspense but it shall b well.
