mayor1814: Yeah bro. U are very right about the suspicion u had... These IRGC Hamas Hezbollah houthis terrorists sympathizers have been battered, discombobulated, beaten black and blue by USA and Israel so d only means of relief for them is fake news hyping Iran IRGC... Pathetic Oh, it's no longer a suspicion. It is an established fact. Seun and Nairaland are rabidly biased against US and Trump and for Iran. Fine, but at least vet your biased stories a little bit before rushing them to FP!! All it takes is a simple Google search of major (trusted) news outlets! That's ALL it takes! |

Your initial suspicion of Pro-IRGC Hezbollah people taking over nairaland has been fully confirmed. News should be well verified before making frontpage No mind them Meanwhile your own factual, truthful, very interesting thread that deserved to make FP didn't, simply because it was a positive for US! https://www.nairaland.com/8656698/strait-hormuz-us-blockade-already#139149433 |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Can The US Actually Pay Off It's Debts? by QuinQQ: 11:56pm On Apr 21 |
lawani: Commercial banking is a brokerage. If you have excess money to lend people, they will take it from you and pay you, if you need money for anything you go to them, they give you the money and charge you and etc
Central banks determine the volume of money in circulation. They are the one creating money and not commercial banks. They print money that must be accepted by anybody in their jurisdiction and commercial banks can't do that See below. Money is NOT created through printing. Money is debt, albeit transferable debt. What Central Bank prints are physical IOU's representing debt (money). Anyone who has the power to issue transferable debt without actually giving you anything, has the power to create money.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Can The US Actually Pay Off It's Debts? by QuinQQ: 5:57am On Apr 21 |
lawani: That only applies to central banks that produce money. Commercial banks don't produce money. Commercial banks only manage money Of course Commercial banks create money all the time. If you deposit $10 in a bank. They'll keep $1and lend out $9 - they just created $9. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Can The US Actually Pay Off It's Debts? by QuinQQ: 5:39am On Apr 21 |
lawani: If they are paying down the debt and creditors are bringing more which will probably happen, it only means interest rates will drop and the debt will become even easier to pay off.
Banks will pay you whatever is in your account and commercial banks don't determine inflation rates Banks don't pay you anything. They give you an IOU (that's ALL paper money is - it's an IOU from the bank acknowledging they owe you whatever is written on the money). Just like paper money (which is debt), US debt is is also exchanged between buyers and sellers, and there are always people willing to take them (just like money). |

lawani: Can the US actually pay off it's debts? They don't have to and they never will - for same reason the bank will never pay you the value (gold) of the IOU (paper money) in your pocket - because there's always another person willing to take the IOU |

Let’s be sincere, they cannot.
EXCEPT, they will have to steal the resources of like 10 strategically important nations! The debt is not real debt. It includes about 1 trillion dollars being hoarded by China and even more by Japs |

Iran would never accept US terms to end it's nuclear program completely for 20yrs, infact the current list of negotiators like the foreign minister and house speaker do not have the final say because they do not control the military.

Ayatullah: Does 'ALLEGEDLY' represents a factual word in your own dictionary in the context of your statement?
The IRGC is not ruling Iran, rather it is one of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, it is a tested and trusted body that has proven its strength and relevance over the years.
Learn to ditch out facts in public discuss or keep quiet. Please try to study a bit before quoting your superiors. "Allegedly" doesn't necessarily mean something is not factual. It can mean "I'm not 100% sure. I wasn't there". Example: "Muhammad was Allegedly visited by an angel". Which was why I gave reasons that show why it would seem to be true

budaatum: Such people believe what they read and do not bother to understand first, but I think my posts will show that I am not "vast majority of people".
In fact, the books I quote the most are the Bible and the Quran, but I do not believe either book. And only a fool would believe Heidegger, who's Being and Time is a description of the "vast majority of people" so one can know and decide for oneself if one wants to be one of them. You make a lot of sense. The danger though, is to subconsciously believe something is so just because someone said authoritatively in a book that it is so |
Christianity Etc › Re: Being And Time - Martin Heidegger' by QuinQQ: 2:33pm On Apr 19 |
budaatum: You would think I forgot you, but truth is you've never left my head since you posted the above. And I bring it here so it's kept. I'll add a link to your original post when done.
First, do you see the irony of you quoting Yoko Ono instead of presenting what is in your own head?
i ask because, as much as I have read Heidegger every hour for 12, and started it all over again, I actually find him unquotable.
You see, we do not read what others write in order to quote them, but to understand what it is they have to say.
I, for instance read a lot of early philosophers, not so I can quote them, but so I can understand how knowledge has developed.
It's the same way I would study the history of say, law, or mathematics, not so I may quote it, but so I may understand how it developed and learn from what has already been discovered instead of wasting my time with multiple errors trying to invent the wheel from scratch.
If you do not know the views that others have already expressed, you just might be repeating views that have already been expressed, and even been debunked.
And knowing the views that have already been expressed will enable you to stand on the shoulders of giants that preceded you and enable you to see much further than they saw.
For only by knowing the foundation of a thing can one "formulate your own unique views through direct experience of phenomena than rely on others' views". Very, very valid points. However (there's always a however ), the danger with vast majority of people is total lack of any original thought whatsoever that is based entirely on their own direct experience. But you do make lots and lots of sense. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Trump Talks Too Much, Says Iranian Minister, Saeed Khatibzadeh by QuinQQ: 1:39am On Apr 19 |
Ayatullah: But Iran is not a weak and cowardly nation like Nigeria where people have submitted to all forms of dehumanisation in all spheres of political, social and the economy. Iran is a blessed nation that is respected for its bravery unlike Nigeria that cannot stand against oppression within and at the international level.
Salute to Iran. Let the cowardly and loquacious Donald Trump keep quiet. Persians are allegedly cowards and it seems true. Spartans would never open that Strait, and they'd have been attacking Ametican ships with all they got. As for Nigeria, IRGC wouldn't have been able to rule Nigeria for 47 years without some brave young soldiers overthrowing. So the saying would seem correct - YES, Persians ARE cowards! |
