My point is that every good education takes certain degrees of discipline and time to acquire and is useful one way or the other. Of course, a well educated accountant or economist with analytical skills would ideally make a better banker than an engineer with good analytical skills. But that is not to say that the engineer’ s education has no relevance in the banking sector. My position remains that no good education or knowledge is a waste.

Education is not only acquired in unis is the point. If you spent 5 years diligently reading self-help books while learning all the ins and outs of importation from China you'd have more practical education than someone who spent it in uni on things they'd never use outside.
