Facts the bigoted IPOB OP won’t tell you: 1) Shoprite just opened a new store in Kaduna. 2) The main reason Shoprite closed in Kano is because of the cost of rent @ Ado Bayero Mall. They are charged in USD and it costs them N25,000 per sqm. For comparison, it costs them 3,000 per sqm in Kaduna and N8,000 per sqm in Silverbird Mall, Lagos. 3). Shoprite are opening a smaller, more nimble outlet in Kano.

Pakute:Buhari? President Buhari? Same person that meticulously and painstakingly lured, trapped & caged Kanu - the man that promised to deliver his head on a tray? Maybe Jibrin. But certainly not Buhari. |
IGBOSON1:You actually thought Kanu stood a chance? Nobody will fall for your weak gaslighting. For more than 6 years, he peddled hate speech and insults against Buhari, Yoruba’s and Hausa-Fulani on his evil radio Biafra, calling for their killing and instigating several deadly attacks against them. He ordered and caused the killings of dozens of our officers and security agents. He masterminded the EndSARS killings, arson and wanton destruction of Lagos. An innocent Hausa woman and her kids were slaughtered by his IPOB killing machine…not to mention notable personalities like Ahmed Gulak, Prof. Akunyili etc. He even boasted in public would deliver the then President Buhari’s head on a plate. He radicalized thousands of Igbo youth and turned them into extreme hate-seething bigots. He turned the South East into a killing field, introduced deadly forced sit at homes and re-introduced cannibalism into Iboland on a grand scale. Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB caused a jailbreak at Imo Prison that released hundreds of criminals, killers and kidnappers into ibo society and the SE has never been the same since then. To think that some deluded ipob cretins believe that such a demonic, criminal terrorist could be acquitted of all charges & released because of legal technicalities around the way he fell into Buhari’s trap, tells you the level of mindless delusion that ravages those folks. For now, Cownu must answer for his crimes my friend. |
Pakute:Honestly I would find it hard to take him seriously any further, if he did. That would be pissing on the gr8ves of Nnamdi Kanu’s many victims.

shortgun:The Supreme Court has spoken. Lamidi Cownu must face his trial. Only lawless rascals can argue. |

Balkan:Nnamdi Kanu is nothing but a weak, noisy, tactless coward that used his two legs to walk into Buhari’s clever trap in Kenya, has been humbly & quietly sipping beans in DSS cage, and now MUST face his charges and pay for his treason & criminal foolishness over the past 8 years. IPOB endless propaganda of him being acquitted of all charges based on technicalities, has hit the brick wall as expected. |
Another one... Fubara should have paid IPObi's not to support him. Whoever they support always ends in defeat. |
Fubara being taught that without Wike, he is just a 2G Sim. |
Good show troops 💯 No Peace for IPOB/ESN/Boko Haram terrorists & bandits. Mop them all! |
toprealman:Dangote got the finance facility for his refinery from a consortium of 12 banks and not from the federal government. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/144169-dangote-seals-n528bn-loan-deal-12-banks-refinery-petrochemical-project.html?tztc=1 FG’s stake is only 20% (1/5). |
soccerlite:EURO V is a European standard specification for Petrol. Nigeria has continued to remain a home for “dirty fuels” with very high sulphur content. Sulphur in petroleum fuels results in vehicle exhaust emissions that have negative impact on health and environment. Dangote Refinery says the 650,000 barrels per day refinery has been designed to process a variety of light and medium grades of crude and produce extremely clean fuels that meet Euro V specification. |
Rilwayne001:It’s just for the record. The disinformation is loud. |
Ikinternational:False. The FG’s investment in the refinery is a mere, minority, non-controlling 20%, which will also earn good dividends for the FG from Dangote (alongside being the main supplier of his crude) which makes it a smart business/investment decision by NNPCL/FG. |
Aside from the 650,000 barrels per day it will refine, Dangote’s Petrochemical Plant will also produce 1 million and 3 million metric tones of Polypropylene and Urea Fertilizer respectively for our consumption and export. BUA’s Akwa Ibom refinery when completed will further drive competition in the downstream oil industry which will benefit the consumers through pricing and availability. Aliko Dangote is truly an industrial collosus, a true African giant. Patriotic Nigerians are proud of you 🇳🇬 modified: Chinjo2:What is not certain, is the extent to which Dangote’s refinery will reduce petrol prices in Nigeria. What is certain however, is that the laws of economics dictate that a reduced cost of production is likely to reflect in reduced prices. Our present pump prices are not dictated solely by the international price of crude, but by the landing cost of imported PMS. The components of this landing cost includes product cost, traders and insurance margin, shipping, charges by government agencies, financing & banking charges and storage charges. You will agree that the elimination of shipping and govt port charges, and a possible reduced product cost in exchange for discounted supply terms or tax incentives, will definitely result in a lower total cost of production and consequently, lower prices at the pump. Some might say Dangote needs to repay loans, pay good wages, pay taxes, maintenance etc. but news flash! The foreign refineries we are currenty importing from also have these overhead costs embedded in their product prices. Furthermore, with the eventual completion of Abdulsamad Rabiu's 250k bpd BUA refinery in Akwa Ibom, and the Waltersmith 10k bpd modular refinery in Imo among others; we are looking at a combined total capacity of nearly 1m bpd supply of refined petroleum (compared to our current 427.7k bpd/68 million litres daily imported petrol consumption), and the resultant boost in supply is expected to further drive down prices over time. Other benefits of the refinery include: - Over 100,000 jobs created - Saved Forex spent daily on petrol importation (about $23.3 billion annually, reducing demand pressure on USD) - Adequate local supply of PMS, AGO, DPK & Jet A1 fuels. - Increased competition in deregulated downstream sector in favor of Nigerians. - Increase in FG Revenue from earnings from dividends (20% investment in refinery), taxes and other levies. - Increased Forex liquidity from export earnings - Adequate local & export supply of Petrochemical feedstock (PPE & PPL ) previously imported with USD by manufacturers, while stimulating manufacturing activities. - Improved supply of Urea for Fertilizer resulting in improved agriculture and food production. - PPL, PPE & Fertilizer importation currently costs the FG $3 Billion in Forex, to be eliminated. - Creation of allied industries and appreciation in real estate value around the refinery. -Nigeria sheds the embarrassing label and internationally acclaimed, disgraceful paradox of being a major crude oil producer that still imports refined Petrol. My humble two cents.

TUTU147:The most objective and intelligent response so far. |
I love the way Tinubu always reminds the west that Africa contributes the least to global warming, yet disproportionately bears the burden. The west will have to weigh in more to clean the mess they created while they were industrializing without a thought for sustainability. |
Wishful thinking. If wishes were horses, beggars will ride. |
Sweden? ![]() Shocking because for several years, the country has been classified as one of the absolute best countries to live in. The global economic downturn is reaching the most unlikely of countries and good leadership, now more than ever, is needed to successfully navigate out of troubled waters. Thank God we have Tinubu.
|
oluztx:What gives you the wild idea that the North is not in support of Tinubu? You’re sleeping on a bicycle. |
igwebuike01:With all sense of modesty, If you’re still struggling on the survival spectrum, you should be more useful to yourself than trolling up and down NL. |
May God help & guide President Tinubu in steering our dear nation to greatness. |
President Bola has appointed Pius Akinyelure as the Non-Executive Board Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and also retained Mele Kyari as the organisation’s Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO). Their appointment, which is in compliance with Section 59 (2) of the Petroleum Industry Act, 2021, takes effect from December 1, 2023, he said. Kudos Aisha for doing your nation and Arewa proud. bigwig071:Google Jelani Aliyu, among others. It’s empty drums that make the loudest noises. |
Are they finally tired? Don't they want to punish the FG again? Nzogbu Nzogbu in the mud. Sit at home or not, ohamadikhēad the albino terrorist remains in his zoo cage till further notice ![]() More confusion fall on the camp of Nigeria’s enemies. |

Onyiiobi7735:Somtochukwu Okwuoha is an Igbo extremist born and raised by Igbo parents, with useless IPOB terrorist ideology, and he stupidly went abroad to display his stupidity like all useless, accursed Biafran extremists do. Good riddance to bad rubbish. |
Wike the living Legend. I doff my hat 🎩 Evidence of the political maturity & sophistication of the SS. |
