Hello good people, I've just met one guy who says he's an agent but after a conversation I can tell he doesn't do more than tell one how to arrange their docs and advises on what docs to package when submitting. Basically all the info on here for free.
He seemed a bit knowledgeable on the application process. However, he said something I would like to ask here its authenticity.

When I asked if I should write CIC a brief and subtle reminder mentioning resumption date and how my school asked to mail them to "consider application in due time"...he said I shouldn't. When I asked why, he said it'd be like asking them to issue me a refusal. That I'd be asking them to rush my application and that's also asking them to refuse me the study permit.

It doesn't make as much sense as I go over it in my head, but can anyone corroborate that or tell me outright that the man is wrong.

NB- My application is 10 weeks and counting. Processing time shows 13 weeks now.

To d best of my knowledge, I think SOE/LOE are d same and means a letter where u explain the reasons why u r going for a course, how it will be of benefit to u, etc while LOI is written on ur behalf by the company u work for stating ur profile with them.
That's what I think they mean.

Thanks boss... I say a loud amen to the prayers you just said... the joy isn't complete without these guys you kno.
Meanwhile... I took baked beans only once and then I stopped taking the naps since I got tired of not seeing any CIC mail after waking up!! ... really I wasn't expecting it to come that soon cos my intake is still April.
My cic account was updated about 7.25am and I got the cic mail hours after with the correspondence letter attached.
It will end in praise.... Regards.

You will be violating the conditions stated on your study permit and subsequently you may have problem with the Canadian embassy particularly when you're about to apply for PR or other categories of visa.

What if you work more than that

This is very possible. In Canada you're allowed to work 20hrs/week during study in Canada. You can as well work full time during scheduled breaks/holidays.

Hello house gud afternoon.i sent a mail to accra.immigration@international.gc.ca concerning my application they sent a mail back saying the msg can't be delivered that I should try contacting accra.immigration@international.gc.ca directly.pls how do I contact them directly?

The date you're seeing is the date you linked online, your submission date still stands, it's totally normal

So it means I just submitted today or what

The system will auto generate the date your account was linked as your submission date. That is quite in order!

They claim it's the volume of applications that elongates processing time buh alas...... what are they processing that long .... am confused.

Application numberis different from tracking number.

Tracking number is contained in the yellow slip given to you at the vfs office.

While application number is file number @cic. You'd see your application number once you get any correspondence from cic. Or if you applied online.

Is the application number the tracking number

1. Yes i applied Online
2. They sent an automated message immediately and the next day i got a typed response mail from one of their staff that they had received my mail and additional document i sent.(But that is because in my email i asked them to 'confirm that they had received my email').
3. I sent my email to the Accra. immigration@international.gc.ca , but that is because i was 100% sure my application was sent to Ghana however some applications are done in Lagos here.


My advice send to both emails, it will cost you nothing, also like @yemdogg said, check for that cic thing on your page and send it there too.
In addition , the Title of your email must have your Application nos and tell what the email is about. eg RESPONSE TO VISA OFFICER FOR APPLICATION 1234567

Please i got an admission for PGD in Toronto i applied for a study permit since 19th of July and as of today 18 Weeks after i still havent gotten a response. My application was really solid, My dad is the sponsor and his account was quite handsome at the time. i have 3 years work experience in Nigeria, we attached my Dads company docs and his landed properties on advice from the agency that helped me to accumulate the documents.

Any one around still awaiting permit of has gotten one after 18 weeks of applying as currently i am already losing abit of hope.

I applied for offer thru d agent he asked for my Waec result school testimony dob passport dats all I think Pls guys am new here am applying for a study permit to canada.i applied on the 13th of November 2015 I avnt gotten any response not until 20/01/2016 wen I checked my tracking and I found dis your processed passport has been dispatched on 20/01/2016 and I haven't don't medical.there was a guy we submitted together same day he has been called for medical he has done hz medical sef and the agent am going tru z telling me dey will still call me for medical pls guys wat is happening here ooooo
