justwise: Wow!!! Just like that? Personally i'm not a fan of any sort of agent, i do my bookings directly from the airline's website.Na so o Guy was going to charge me booking fee for the ticket they never issued in the first place and to get the rest of my money, I have to write them and it takes 12wks before they will decide wether I am getting it or not. Plus they reuse to give me their address too and their address is not online either. After checking some reviews about them on google, I figured out that I am not the only one |
chaircover: I know of at least 4 people who lost their money when agents disappeared into thin air before the travel date and i forsee this happening a lot more now that all the airlines have drastically increased their ticket prices and people will be falling for cheaper but at a risk of being scammed offers.Funny enough I fell for the same crap 3wks ago ![]() I saw a cheap ticket online to Lagos on KLM........called and book to seats and the guy told me to pay £100 deposit over the phone and transfer the remaining £850 to their Barclays account which he gave me the account details and told me that I have 24hrs to make the payment. Next day I called the bank to transfer £850 to this company through telephone banking and I called the guy to find out if they have seen the payment which he confirmed and told me they will call back in 2hrs to issue the ticket. 3hrs later I didn't hear from him so I called back and he said we are vey busy that he has not forgotten about me. Around 5:30pm he called and told me that there is a problem with authorisation on the £100 deposit that they are not able to obtain authorisation from the bank so I told him to hold on while I called the bank and my bank confirmed that they have authorised a payment for £100 which the company has not claimed yet so I told the lady to transfer another £100 to this people. Later that day travel agent called again saying they have not received the new payment yet and money has already left my account. In total I have paid £1150 and no ticket so the guy said well the price has gone up now so he wants another £285 on each ticket before they can issue me a ticket. I told him to refund all my money and he said well he will deduct issue fee and I can't get a refund till about 12wks time. Cut the long story short, no refund no ticket. I have to go and get a new ticket from KLM direct and my bank reuse to refund me too cus I was the one that authorise the transfers. ![]() |

Kaanayo Nwachukwu has indeed encouraged and supported the young 28 year old Nigerian who married a 68 year old Greek all in a bid to secure his future and that of his generation next. “Nigerians are indeed hard to please! Since the news broke that this 28-year-old Nigerian married a 68-year-old Greek, all Nigerian papers – mainstream and online – have been nothing but agog with condemnations upon condemnations of “what God has joined together.” Where are thou manners, o ye people? Isn’t love supposed to be where you find it? Just like we don’t like the government meddling with our bedroom activities, we should learn to stay clear from people’s choice of marriage. Instead of all this ranting, we should be wishing this couple well and commending this young man for even bringing his better half home for a proper introduction to family members and to perform traditional marriage rites (unlike his compatriots who do theirs in their countries of residence). What if he had chosen to do everything in Greece? Can’t you see how happy they look in the photo? What about Senator (former Governor) Yerima who married a 13-year-old Egyptian girl? A lot of Nigerian women are also in the habit of getting married to younger men. And what’s wrong with that? On behalf of 9ja Facebook community, I wish this couple a very happy, long married life” Kaanayo said. http://247nigerianewsupdate.com/controversies-trail-28-year-olds-nigerian-marriage-to-68-year-old-greek-woman/
