Crime / MTN Shutdown Network Services In Lekki To Disrupt Live Transmission by R3dsp3ar(m): 3:55am On Oct 21, 2020 |
So sad and I'm disappointed at MTN telecom for putting the life of Nigerians at risk. In God sake, people are dying and they cold do is to turned off network service at the scene where coward soldiers are shooting at the protesters? Whose data? Whose airtime ? Is this not what they had paid for? Randomthingsthatilike Leary that, At the point in time where the network users needed to use what they had paid and subscribed on... Yet the Telecoms has failed the people too lije the bad government and subdued by leaderships of Muhammadu Buhari Sanwo-Olu and Ahmed Bola Tinubu. Perhaps, this is one of the problems of Nigerians, where you will have enough airtime and data but no network service or a bad coverage. MTN is indirectly against the peaceful protesters in Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos. Meanwhile, Nigerian Army invaded the place and shot at the unharmed protesters. Same people that have sworn to protect life and property, same force that could not combat terrorist group called boko haram, same force that could not capture any of the government sponsored thugs that disrupted the peaceful protest in Lagos, Abuja and Edo state. Live transmission reveals that there are 15 casualties , 3 are confirmed dead, and a celebrity among them (Eniola Badmus) was among them, fired a bullet but not dead. Naijatechnews.com learnt that the government hospitals has also refused and rejected treatments to the injured protesters. The poor citizens are still out there at the Toll Gate, Lekki with bad MTN network coverage to lowered their voices and live video transmission on social media, so that the international bodies won't see it. They are fighting a good fight for the next generations to stop security brutality, bad governance, police extortion and to end SARS confrontanity. Therefore, the people have spoken, no retreat, no surrender and no leave, no transfer. Science/Technology / MTN Has Stopped The Daily Free 10 SMS by R3dsp3ar(m): 7:52pm On Jul 01, 2020 |
Due to the covid-19 pandemic outbreak , MTN telecom credited every of her customer with a whooping sum of 300 SMS uniun and 10 units every day. MTN’s 300 monthly free SMS was about reviving dying tradition of texting friends, family and loved onces. It's so Sudden and shortwile even though the Coronavirus disease is still presently seating tight in the global economy. The tradition of SMS texting which used to be part of our lives in the early days of mobile phones in Nigeria has been on a steady decline in the last decade. A Deloitte study in 2014 shows that SMS messages declined by 7 billion in 2013 to 145 billion, while messages sent by instant-messaging apps have continued to spike as more people – old and young, embrace WhatsApp and other instant messaging apps. Amokeoja, a media practitioner, described his texting habit in the early 2000s as superb, “as a matter of fact, that was my prioritised form of communication until we shifted to the Instant Messaging form of communication.” “I was always texting people new month and daily greetings. That was like the tradition then but not anymore. I’m personally averse to it now, whether through the SMS or any other platform for that matter. The world no longer has the patience to wait for someone to reply a text you are not even sure you will ever get a response to". At this point, MTN has stopped the free daily sms, I was using mine untill it got to 92 out of 300. MTN has wiped all their customers free sms units. It's so sad, many has taken to social media to expressed the sad news. However, for the first time in many years, the texting tradition was revived among Nigerians from March to April 2020, as the number of text messages sent by mobile phone users spiked during that period. In an official media statement, the CEO of MTN Nigeria, Ferdi Moolman revealed that over two billion free text messages were sent by MTN subscribers in less than two months of the free SMS offer. Tell us how you feel and your experience over the short time using free sms. Source: https://www.naijatechnews.com/mtn-stopped-the-daily-free-10-sms/

Stand a chance to party with Wizkid after pandemic. TECNO released its new camera phone, CAMON 15 series, through an online launch event which became a milestone in the smartphone industry as the first online product launch in Africa. The online launch themed “Magic of Unseen” was not long, but the content was extremely rich: TECNO CAMON 15 unveiling its SONY camera and the trademarked TAIVOS™ technology, official spokesman, Wizkid’s appearance, largest flipbook with Guinness World Records ™ Title, and much more. As Nigeria’s most famous performer and a global icon in the music industry, Wizkid is a recognized pop culture sensation. Wizkid’s success runs side-by-side with the emergence of Nigeria’s mobile entertainment market. Stories like Wizkid’s illuminate the possibilities that are offered to both producers and consumers especially with the development of digital entertainment, not to mention that this time, Camon 15 Premier’s commercial was supported by a production team from Hollywood. Wizkid who was all smiles while working on the Camon 15 Project had this to say when he was asked why he chose to become TECNO’s ambassador; “My team and I had series of meetings where we looked at the history of TECNO and we saw something undeniable. There were similarities in both of our personalities. TECNO has relentlessly risen through the ranks over the years, just as I have. We both have risen beyond obstacles and are now global; creating opportunities for others and reminding Nigerians that they are capable of achieving and becoming whatever they desire to be. TECNO and I are indeed for Nigerians.” One big surprise during the event was that TECNO also brought a 1:1m Wizkid portrait poster photographed by TECNO CAMON 15 Premier, which was stunningly crystal-clear despite being scaled up to almost two meters in height. Thanks to the product’s brilliant high definition, armed with a SONY camera, and 8x zoom, every detail was perfectly captured and vividly displayed. TECNO announced that a flip book with 2.2m x 2.2m wide printed pictures taken by TECNO CAMON 15 Premier has broken the Largest flip book Guinness World Record Title. The flip book was acknowledged by Guinness World Records as one-of-a-kind. What sets it apart is its scale and its animation. At almost 5 square meters, it’s a collection of the biggest collection of super-clear images ever assembled. TECNO CAMON 15 Premier has done this great work by its high 64MP SONY camera. As a pioneer in the smartphone industry, TECNO Mobile is always committed to bringing latest technologies and cutting-edge smartphones to its global users. The first online product launch is undoubtedly another new breakthrough of what TECNO Mobile brings to us. The event was absolutely bursting with exciting new technologies and applications.
