These are some of the most insensitive comments I've ever seen. Someone is obviously depressed and this is what you say to them?

I wouldn't call it voluntary when they are threatened that they won't make heaven if they don't pay. When they are told that it is an outright sin not to pay... That, for me, is as compulsory as it gets.

Let me try tracing it from the church to the poor for you.
The church schools and are established to deliver a certain standard of education which has its own level of required funding. Now let's say that funding translate to # 10, 000 per student per year.

The church can't pay 10,000 for all student so decide to pay for only those they can through à scholarship arrangement that targets a blend of the best and the poor. After covering those within their immediate capacity they open the floor for best(academically) who can afford the whole 10,000 on their own.

This is the reality for most church unis but people don't want to hear that. They think the church is their government. As long as the government receives your tax the government is the sole provider of every other things you share in common with nonbelievers.

You talk of taxes when church followers pay tithes (one-tenth of their monthly earnings) every month, besides the weekly and bi-weekly offering contributions they make. What is that if not tax!?

This issue is becoming more intriguing.

To start with, I think the idea would have been nice in a situation where all stakeholders agreed to it but not in an imposition manner.

Also, where are the lands? Do you wanna deprive landowners of their properties and give it to the Foolanis? This would bring more agitation than the ones we've seen in the past.

These two comments show the level of backward stupidity plaguing this country. A worker DESERVES his pay! The agreement was not that salary would be paid IF they won this or that. Those are bonuses. The basic salary has to be paid regardless of their position on the league table. Relegated teams the world over earn salary and even receive participation bonuses from the league. Why must ours be different? And u two above feel u are smart by spewing that nonsense because of ur support for Wike. These people feed their families with this work for crying out loud. Besides, what has Wike done in Rivers to deserve his salary and allowances? What has he done to deserve the title of governor?

Both the sitting and unseated government are thieves.

The Gtb and Innosson fight is a messy one that would impact investor security and confidence in the country.

Nigerians are so stupid they quickly turned this into a tribal war, making the igbos seem like cry babies and the government seem like witch hunters. This has nothing to do with government or tribalism, but is an unfortunate part of business.

However, the government will do well to look into this without siding any wrong party. Their job is to enforce the law and the EFCC should avoid being used as a tool in a business tussle. The government should arrest this issue quickly to assure potential investors that their investment will be safe and secure, without the possibility of banks reneging on agreements, flouting court orders and using the EFCC as a weapon. The world is watching!

This is harsh. People deal with such things differently. Some cry, others act like it never happened, others laugh and play... ur message is clear but it could be said more nicely for such a delicate situation.

A loss is a loss and is always terribly painful. I haven't lost an immediate family member but I've lost some close ones from my extended family... it's not the same but I can only imagine how terrible it can get as it draws closer to home. Take care OP but isolation may not be the best answer. If u really want to, at least inform some close friends of year decision. They can always be of help
