ogbongzky: ![]() Any "Visa" card in Nigeria can do that (ie a simple ATM card for a Savings Acct can get you stuff on iTunes if it's got Visa) Standard. You should say, "iTunes rocks" for accepting any kind of payment system in Naija ![]() |
Going to finish watching Robot tonight, an Indian flick about a scientist who invented a humanoid robot. Nice! I'm very into Indian movies now, probably be watching them all through this week ![]() |
hmm I won't name names but pinkrex is right, it's common with all those flirty females running after all those NL hooligans (still won't name names). They pretend to be writing in cyber-speak but we all can tell they are barely literate. Anyway, no one is perfect . |
toluxa1:Seconded, thirded, fourthed and fiveded. |
sexkillz: 190_@:Cluelessness is a crime . Gosh, how I hate wordless dumb smileys ![]() |
Listening to Jay Z & Kanye West "Watch The Throne". It's aiight. Kanye is good music, love his lyrics. |
omafones:Yes, it's embarrassing that there is no music on the Nigerian iTunes store, I mean wth?? Are they saying we are app-crazy?? Downloaded as many freebies as I can. I heard that they are handling the copyright issues that's why there is no music yet. Nigeria and bureaucracy, they must be holding things up trying to get the best out of the deal. |
This commentator sounds too happy with the final result ![]() |
dammytex:Huh!!? @bolded!!! Na wa, you don't get out much, do you ![]() |
hehehh this is why I never watch Nigerian matches . I rather support some distant country, so win or lose my BP is intact . 3-2 is a good showing in any event ![]() |

". . .But Nigerian human trafficking is often associated with drug smuggling and a distorted use of religious tradition. The women and girls are often forced to undergo a Juju oath-swearing ritual that commits them to repaying the money they owe to their smugglers on pain of death or insanity. "The Juju, the voodoo rite, it's not a bad practice. It was used to bring justice, but they ruined everything," says Isoke with anger. "They don't care how they make their money as far as they make it. They use Juju to enslave." Even in this hell, there are people who try not to lose hope. Sister Antonia, a Nigerian nun of the Sacred Heart of Jesus order, manages a shelter, the Casa Santa Maria dell'Accoglienza, launched in 2000 in the Fernandes centre by the Capua-based Caritas. Here, more than 70 women have found a place to stay and 10 children have been born. "We were called by the bishop of Capua, Mons. Bruno Schettino, to promote these girls' integration. They are all former LovePeddlers. If they want to change their lives, they know they'll always find a place here," Sister Antonia says. The women can stay for between six months and a year, a period when they dedicate their time to education and "to gain[ing] their dignity back," explains Sister Antonia. The nuns give the girls the opportunity to write down their stories and explain what happened and who forced them into prostitution. "We try to make them understand that Juju won't have any effect on them," she says. But we met girls who still work on the streets and believe in the agreements they made. Some of them have to repay debts of up to $58,000 and are still terrified of the powerful consequences of Juju on their families and themselves. . . . " Wharrahell??!!! |

Watching the latest Transformers (3?) Never seen a Transformers movie, could never be bothered . How did the movies get so big anyway, with a lead actor whose face is like puffpuff (Shia Lebeouf) . Some parts are laughable - though they are few and far between ![]() |
It's ok @all4naija - at least that tells us you really enjoyed the movie. Finished "Bridesmaids" - I liked it! Wondered about all the mixed reviews saying how blah blah it was - to me it was a good romcom, got watery-eyed once or twice, lol |
@all4naija - wow - ever heard of spoiler alert?? You don't need to give details of the films you watch, just tell us how you felt about them and don't spoil it for others who might have wanted to watch it without knowing EVERYTHING that happens! |
Looking forward to seeing that 3idiots movie! Watching Bridesmaids, girl reminds me of Jennifer Aniston. The opening chapter with her hanging on the moving gate: priceless. That made the movie for me! |
May God PUNISH the people behind the death of this promising young man! They may be white or black I don't care, who ever goes around carrying a gun to shoot anyone who says a word or two they take objection to, will DIE a gruesome death one day!! OK, venting over, I wish peace and eternal rest to Daniel Famakinwa. Sleep in the bosom of the Lord! |
Guy seems MIA ![]() |
Had to watch Cedar Rapids. AGAIN!! That's a funny film and you feel all good inside in the end!! With the guy from Hangover - which is why I decided to watch it in the first place. |
You aint a star again until you're dead. So they say anyway. I miss her already, she was a cool soul. She sang music like she meant it, not like it was for attention, fame or fortune (unlike some weirdos eg Gaga) RIP babes! Be happy. |
SexyChic05:yeh it was twitter trending all through the last day or so, everyone seems to be jumping on the "Enigma" wagon. Nice move by Don Jazzy. Though it baffles me why established musicians like Cyrus d Virus has already participated, is it not meant for unknown, up-coming acts? Next thing, Ikechukwu will do him own version ![]() |
When it comes to pricing a reader will consider the following: the over all quality of the book itself, ie binding, cover, print etc. If it's going to come out of its binding before I finish chapter one then that's not quality. And then there's the quantity: the longer the book, the more it might cost. I mean a 5,OOO word novel and a 40,OOO word novel: which one would I pay more for? The one with more words of course! That said, it's really mostly about the content. A book is only as good as the writer, no matter how fancy the cover or the package is. The writing has to be good. In conclusion, a reasonable book price would be around N1500 - N1750. People spend much more on some of those glossy Nigerian fashion mags these days. |
Hello Nlanders, it's been a climati ride with the dashing, charming Niq Tobi and the delectable Halima Shakur. Lima was his kind of woman in many ways: fire and ice rolled into one heck of a fantastic package. The only problem was: she didn't believe in love. She simply wanted to keep things on a physical level till it petered out and they could get on with their lives. Most men would be quite happy with such arrangement: sex on demand with a beautiful, desirable woman - no strings attached. But Niq wasn't most men; and he had his heart, his very pride, to think about. This Twisted love was not going to take him down with it, *** it was a climatic finish in many ways and the readership was quite satisfied with the story's conclusion. To have your fix of the Twisted tale here at babyrocka.. Enjoy and thanks for reading! |
Lawl @ Araboy - hump what? Ur lump ?@topic The Tempest |
I want to know your most annoying Nairalander here. Someone who pisses you off the most and for what reason.
Even on serious topical issues, his comments don't help a bit, always (to me) not making any sense at all. His customary use of
