I am struggling to believe that baba Kumuyi said this. I hope we all learn a thing or two from this message because it’s high time we wake up in the things of Baba God. |

Former PDP Deputy National Chairman Chief Olabode George defended Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike in response to his demand that Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, quit. He also hurled insults in Ayu’s direction for calling Wike and his supporters children who were unaware of the formation of the main opposition party. George, one of the party’s founding fathers, advised the chairman to be careful with his words to avoid escalating the situation. Wike is battling for equity and justice, according to George, who officially opened the Omerelu internal road project that the Rivers Governor had finished. He said the present leadership composition of the PDP, whereby the national chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) chairman and presidential candidate are from the North, has clearly excluded the South. George said:” The Chairman of Government National Party said some people are children. So, children don’t grow? He needs to watch his language. Some people describe Wike as a troublesome person. Wike is just fighting for equity and justice.” George objected to the manual voting system in 2023, saying that electronic transmission is the answer. Lauding Wike’s contributions to the PDP, George described him as a strong mobilizer, an actualiser and financier. George said since 1988, the Rivers governor has not left the party. George lamented the slide in national fortune, saying education, agriculture, and finance have been affected. He also points out the fact that the first fundamental right of a Nigerian is the right to life but protection of life and property has dwindled in the 1999 Constitution. George added: “Kidnapping, raping, killing of the innocent have been a devastating occurrence that happens often. Terrorists are being granted amnesty and there can be no peace and security only if the country is restructured. George says that Nigeria goes through crises because of the stubbornness against restructions. The fight against corruption is done by blind people of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCH83rj4hys Former President Goodluck Jonathan has narrated how his government resolved a lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in one night. The varsity teachers have been on strike since February and Jonathan, who spoke on Wednesday in Abuja during a conference to mark the 70th birthday of the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Hassan Kukah, recalled how his administration tried to tackle one such industrial action. “The society we are managing is complex. Now, we are talking about ASUU strike. During my time too, ASUU had four months of strike. Different committees were meeting but nothing was working. I said ‘How can our children stay out of school for four months?” Jonathan said at the event. “So, I had to call a meeting of all the leadership of ASUU. I presided over the meeting with my vice president. The Attorney General was there. I said that that night we must solve the problem. The Attorney General was there; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation was there; the ministers of education were there; the labour ministers were there; the finance minister and everybody that had to do with it [strike]. “And I thought that my being there would help us to do things quickly. But we spent the whole night. We finished like 5:30 am and the strike was called off. So, there were issues,” Jonathan said. The former Bayelsa governor, who extolled Bishop Kukah, said clergymen must speak against bad leadership in society. Jonathan also spoke about the country’s democracy, asking Nigerians to protect it from derailing into fascism. According to him, democracy remains the best bet to manage the nation’s diversity. The event had in attendance top dignitaries including the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu; governors; former ministers among others.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9RUJNKVJp0 Jerry Gana, a former minister of information, has asked Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers, to put away the disappointment of the past and look to the future when he will become Nigeria’s president. Gana spoke on Friday during the flag-off of a flyover in the Obio-Akpor area of Rivers state. Over the past few weeks, Wike has been at the centre of the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Wike had contested the presidential ticket of the party but he lost to Atiku Abubakar. The crisis worsened after Abubakar named Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta, as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election. Following the announcement, some party stakeholders expressed concerns that Abubakar overlooked Wike — who was said to have been recommended by a panel set up at Abubakar’s instance. Efforts by PDP stakeholders and elders to resolve the crisis have since proved abortive. The development has fuelled speculation that Wike may support a presidential candidate from another party in the 2023 election. Making reference to the PDP crisis, Gana appealed to Wike to stay in the PDP and not relent on his commitment to the party. The former minister commended Wike for his “sustained emphasis” on developmental projects and good governance. “Your sustained emphasis on development projects has shown clearly that good governance is possible through good leadership,” Gana said. “You have demonstrated the power of good leadership in delivering development projects to the people of Rivers state. “Please, accept our congratulations for this kind of good leadership that performs. You have a bright future. I am not a prophet but our people say looking at you have a bright future. “If some people have disappointed you this time around, don’t worry, your future is bright. Age is on your side. You will preside over Nigeria someday. You didn’t hear me, I said you will preside over Nigeria someday. “Let me now ask the good people of Rivers state – very wonderful people – to ensure that in the forthcoming elections, you vote massively for the candidate of our party who is being supported by this performing governor so that they will be continuity; so that the good things he is doing here can be continued by the next set of people that are going to govern this place. “Don’t make the mistake of throwing away your votes to another party. The PDP will never let you down. We shall do well; we shall excel; we shall perform and we shall be trustworthy. So, we plead with you in the forthcoming election to ensure that the candidates of our party are supported and elected. Your excellency, we salute your strong commitment to good leadership even within the wider PDP. We know that a number of forces have disappointed but don’t worry, God is always on the side of the righteous. God is always on the side of those who want to do good things for the people. “And therefore, we want you to stay firm, stay within the PDP, and never waiver because so many people outside Rivers state are looking up to you.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLKf00XzoqI I Asked all South-East Govs To Call Peter Obi And Ask Him How He Intends To Win 2023 Election- Dan Ulasi The former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, Chief Dan Ulasi, has said that a vote for Peter Obi in the South-East means a vote for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu. he said that what Peter Obi is doing now is what he should have gone since last year, and should have consulted with the South-East governors before now, because as it stands now, all the South-East governors have candidates they are backing for the 2023 elections. He said that if Peter Obi had consulted with them, they would have at least asked him if what he is fighting for can be achieved. He said that he has been wondering how Peter Obi intends to get the South-West people and Northerners to vote for him. He said that assuming Peter Obi manages to get most of the votes from the South-East, where will he get the other votes to give him 25 percent votes from other states? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cxUpO-0O8A He said that the South-East region is a PDP stronghold, and if the Igbos are sympathetic to vote for Peter Obi, then it is equivalent to voting for Tinubu, and there is no way those votes will lead the Igbos to victory. He said that is because he doesn't see Peter Obi winning any core APC state. He said that he is also asking all the Senators from the South-East to gather themselves and call Peter Obi and ask him what his plans are. He said that the presidency is not a personal thing, and that your people must be seen behind you when running for such office. What do you have to say about this statement from Chief Dan Ulasi? Feel free to share your thoughts with us.
