Malaysian police arrest six foreigners, seize drugs

Submitted by Mohit Joshi on Fri, 06/12/2009 - 03:13. CrimeKuala LumpurMalaysia

Kuala Lumpur - Six suspects accused of international drug trafficking were arrested and cash and drugs worth almost 160,000 ringgit (45,700 dollars) were seized in Malaysia, news reports said Friday.

The suspects - a Nigerian, four Pakistanis and a Malaysian - were arrested Wednesday in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, when the Nigerian, allegedly caught with 100 pellets of heroin worth 100,000 ringgit, led the police to the other suspects.

Police also said they seized 137,000 dollars from the Nigerian, who has been in the country since 2007 as a student, the Star daily reported.

"The suspects, aged 23 to 40, are believed to have sold the Nigerian the drugs smuggled in from Pakistan," Kang Chez Chiang, the chief of federal narcotics criminal investigations, told the newspaper.

He added the syndicate had used Malaysia as a transit point for heroin, which was mostly trafficked to China, Taiwan, Japan and Australia.

The suspects were arrested on charges of drug trafficking and are to be remanded until June 17.

If found guilty, they face mandatory death sentences. (dpa)

Like I said, it's your choice. If you have the opportunity, go and see the beauty of Malaysia. Just don't come here later to vent your anger and hail fire and brimstone when the going gets tough with no job in sight and your pockets go dry. Please make sure you still have a valid return air-ticket on standby. Good luck!

^^^Nice One. More grease to your elbow. Lol
Thanks. Just tryna be truthful. Some people just don't listen. I know life is hard in Nigeria but with the amount of $$$ they spend to travel to Malaysia and chances of them finding work are almost nil, why take the risk and regret later. Wouldn't it be wiser to use the money to start a small business at home, work hard and with perseverance, the fruits of their labour will sooner or later but surely follow. Anyway, it's their choice.

N900K is about MYR20K(Malaysian Ringgit). Airtickets + Visa Processing will eat up at least 30%-40% of that amount. The balance will probably be enough for only 1st term of the school fees, excluding food, lodging & other expenses. Sorry, I don't think you have enough for your intended study in Malaysia unless your family is ready to support you financially.

Shame on you for calling yourself a Malaysian. What utter nonsense of you talking bad about your own country, foolish woman. I'm not surprised that your loud mouth is made for sexuality section where you go brag about your s_e_x life with your Naija bobo. FYI, there are racists people in every corner of the world. Live with it, even we the brown skin face discrimination from the white skin, too. You just don't kowtow to them that's all.
What sick joke are you talking about getting a visa to South Korea or Japan through/from the Nigerian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. You go to the respective country's embassy to enquire on the proper procedures, submit the required application and then wait for the approval of the entry visa first before embarking on your journey.
Yes, we have corruption in Malaysia but not to the extent as exaggerated by you. Gosh, you just like to blow things out of proportion.

For those of you who wanna come to Malaysia to hustle, for goodness sake, how many times do you want people to remind you not to waste your hard-earned or borrowed money just to get away from Nigeria and come here when there's no job for you Africans. (It's not that we don't welcome you but the jobs are not meant for you unless you are highly qualified and have special skills that Malaysia lacks manpowers in those limited fields.) Be warned that after your one-month visa expires, you'll be an illegal and be prepared to run for your life whenever you see any policemen near by. IS THIS THE KINDA LIFE YOU WANT? LIVING WITH FEAR, FRUSTRATION AND EMPTY POCKETS WILL DRIVE YOU MAD. THINK BEFORE YOU LEAP!

I agree with you.
I still don't get it, all these Naija women who shouted again that mama for pulling out her daughter from her serial cheating son-in-law, these are the women who talk big here but suffer in silence for the sake of being called "Mrs".

Someone please brief me what kind of Chritianity is being practised in Nigeria seeing that Polygamy is acceptable even in some churches. Worse, pastors themselves have more than one wife cos their stupid culture, law or whatever allows them. Shame, polygamy is a bullsh*t practice and one of the causes of population explosion in Africa. Another is "I must have a son no matter what" mentality in the so-called patriachal society, which favours sons than daughters. Makes me sick to the bone cos my mom is one of the women who practises such favouritism.

Iranoladun:
In my culture (Yoruba) the wife is expected to greet the husband first in the morning before she start her day just like you'd be required to greet an elder first and not vice versa. As for me I don't make a fuss about it and do it with a hug or a kiss wink
Why is it that you guys like to identify everything as "my culture"?  Tell me, do you have any particular intimacy culture (i.e. squatting position n etc. ) in Yoruba?   undecided

Come on, let's be real. Many, in fact too many, black women are like tree trunks. Even the likes of Jill Scott, Opray Wimprey and Queen Latifah, their faces may be pretty but the bottom parts are sorely overweight. Can't blame the blackmen for running after other races!
