My brother marriage is a beautiful things but it's 100% spiritual( Christ Jesus) and physical(Church). The issue is not the person u r marrying to but who the person is connected to.

Love alone doesn't and can't sustain marriage. U need wisdom( the fear of God), understanding of the spirit and trust of the person. Don't marry based on morality coz it will not stand in eternity.
Christians and Moslems have different doctrines concerning who Christ is and both can't come to agreement because of certain things beyond human understanding.

If you are a heaven bound Christian,u should know what the bible says about being unequally yoke with unbelievers in anything. If you study the case of Abraham very well,u will know that one of the issue d world is facing is as a result of d free woman son(Isaac, the grandparent of the Israelites of today) and Ishmael (the grandparent of Moslems). Isn't it the same thing after traditional then go to court for papers,you can't leave the country and be recognized as married without legal court papers that is what the constitution recognises

How did your ancestors become christians? as i said if you truly love someone whether the children choose your religion or that of their mother's won't matter I have friends from such homes some are Christians some muslims some both,trying to convert someone In hope of marriage shows you don't accept the person for who he/she is,if your religion is such an important factor in your relationship why are you with someone of different religion in the first place

As for the dedication that is up to them how they want to do it,my aunt didn't do dedication of her child,it was just a naming ceremony where friends were invited.

There is no obstacle as I said Nigerians aren't open to inter-religious marriages,and from what I have read the issues comes mostly from the parents,if someone from nigeria can marry someone from russia then I see no reason why they can't if people can over come cultural differences then religious differences aren't a problem,and besides I don't think both religious supports it,is just easier for muslim men to marry out since they're men.

If you truly love her go to court and get married,there is really no need to convert inter-religious marriage is not a new thing,but if you truly need your parents and societies support is better to break up cause nigerians are fundamentalists and aren't open to such marriages

Now the problem facing us now is, She is a Muslim, while am a Christian, her parent will never allow her to convert, while my own parent will never allow me to convert, and now we are madly in love, she try to convinced her dad, but all effort was prove abortive.

We love ourselves so much, but religion is the barrier facing us now, we are both planning to run away from the country, she promised to foot all bills for our travelling, but I told her we should try just be friend as our religion is the barrier here now.

If not for the religion issue, we plan to have our introduction this year, and get wedded next year, but religion want to truncate the whole plans,

a divorced woman in nigeria will have difficulties looking after the children if the man is unwilling to help and there is nothing anybody can do
in naija there are no welfare packages for divorced women
but in the USA even with the benefits of being divorced there still many western stay with their husbands..why do u think this happens?

the thing is that in nigeria many women marry for security reasons and for money and when such women happen to go to the US and they see it is more beneficial being divorced they will seperate from their husbands and start collecting the financial benefits.

Religion is just like culture,just look at how industrial revolution and age of enlightment has reduced Christianity in Europe,richer countries like Japan and china are getting less religious,if we educate ourselves more and fix our countries no one will take all these pentecostal pastors seriously

India is actually a subcontinent in itself. When i first went there i was always confused for a year then later slowly i started to realize, as Not only their appearances are completely different but Languages too, Indians from different states are so different they had to communicate in sign or English and i used to make fun of them as we African students were not only one who had difficulties in communication.

Change is constant, nothing remains the same forever. My country will also have its own fair share of problems like any other.

People don't seem to like outspoken & unflinching people, especially when it's women that are that way. Xhosa women are no shrinking violets, so all the talk is to be expected.
