thesuave10: Taking tattoos has nothing to do with responsibility. For some people tattoos serve as beautification, something of memory etc How do you define ''responsibility''? Do you think a person with really huge responsibilities, like POTUS or the British PM, or even a Nigerian senator, should have tattoos? Why or why not? What would you say if Buhari returns from London with a tattoo, as a memory of his life-threatening sickness? |

MissRaine69: I have 7 I went to school Have not robbed, maimed or killed anyone I hold down a good job. If I did not tell you I had any, you would not know as I don't behave as a hoologan, rascal or some other dim witted description I have read here . Tattoos do not influence behaviour or conduct. This is like arguing that guns kill people. Guns don't kill people. People with guns kill people. Responsible people do not USUALLY tattoo themselves. The fact that you are getting worked up by this thread speaks volumes. PS: Pay attention to the capitalized part of my comment if you must respond to this post. |

spacetacular: An NDE cannot be treated as a hallucination. I have also wondered why these so called hallucinations always seem to follow similar patterns.
How is it that there is always a similarity in what they all experienced. Hallucinations often make absolutely no sense but all these people with NDE visions were all mostly positively affected by them.
What you did was simply regurgitate what's all over google but perhaps you should try talking to a few of those who have had NDE experiences and they would tell you what makes them know that their experiences were real.
The one that should baffle you is when they say they witness everything going on from above or from a position away from all other activity and their accounts are always accurate as they tell about procedures being carried out on them and conversations by people in other locations or rooms while they were practically dead in another location.
Hallucinations do not offer detail and witness in detail. What similarities do you speak of? |

Right now, I have two old writers and of mine and I only need to add two more. Anyone who knows he or she cannot abide by the rules I set out in the initial post here on Nairaland should not waste their time and mine applying.
Also, that email I gave is for applications for the job, not for people asking me for help and telling me their life stories of woe.
To those asking me for help and telling me how they are dying of hunger, I tell you this plain truth. Everyone has challenges; even me. I was not born rich. I still dey hustle, because you will find that the moment you move from earning 10k a month to 500k a month, all your relatives and friends will connect a suction pipe to your pocket and you will soon find yourself needing to make more money to stay afloat. So there is nothing you will say that I have not seen earlier in life or witnessed. If you need money, apply for the job I listed (and others also posted by other persons) and WORK! ajoguegbe: In a mother’s womb were two babies. One baby asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?” The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”
“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”
The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”
The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.” The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”
The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after - delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”
“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.” The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”
The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”
Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.” To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”
The Bible says: "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead ." May this beautiful analogy help someone find Christ. Amen
Now what are you waiting for? Go to THE SOURCE and share it on your facebook, twitter and Linked to make it go VIRAL, you may be helping someone have a rethink When I saw your title, I was expecting you to blow our minds. Firstly, this analogy has been used on this forum countless times. Secondly, after birth the mother does not punish one child for doubting. She carries both babies and rewards them with the same amount of love and care regardless of their conceptions or misconceptions about life after delivery. Verdict: Your analogy is wack. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Meet Bill Gate The Agnostic PLUS His Religious View - A MUST READ FOR CHRISTIANS by Ranchhoddas: 10:41am On Jul 29, 2017 |
GoodMuyis: Bill Gates was born in Seattle, Washington where he still lives and his software giant company, Microsoft, is headquartered. Growing up, his family attended a Congregationalist church, a now-extinct version of Protestantism.
Now, Gates doesn’t seem too interested in religion. He doesn’t believe anything without evidence. He was once asked about the human soul, and he replied:
I don’t have any evidence on that
This is a standard agnostic view and would seem hard to disprove. Gates, like many agnostics, would rather look to science for answers. In the same interview, Gates said:
In terms of doing things I take a fairly scientific approach to why things happen and how they happen
This doesn’t mean Gates is down on religion or thinks religion is stupid or pointless. He’s said:
There’s a lot of merit in the moral aspects of religion. I think it can have a very very positive impact
Is Melida Gate Religious?
Yes She Bill Gate's wife is very Catholic. Bill gate also join them sometimes for Sunday Service

Bill Gates View on Religion and Raising Child
Gates said, “The moral systems of religion, I think, are super important. We've raised our kids in a religious way; they've gone to the Catholic church that Melinda goes to and I participate in. I've been very lucky, and therefore I owe it to try and reduce the inequity in the world. And that's kind of a religious belief. I mean, it's at least a moral belief.
“I think it makes sense to believe in God,” said Gates, “but exactly what decision in your life you make differently because of it, I don't know.” ”

Sarassin: Hello Wilgrea7, top of the day to you too. Actually you’ve posed a very astute question. It is true that we can oftentimes find ourselves acting differently in our dreams to our "normal" actions. For most people dreams are little more than a jumbled memory of their sub-conscious processing events in the physical and the ephemeral. For the more knowledgeable it becomes clear that the Ego, or if you like, the Atman is unconstrained by the limitations of our earthly dimensions, i.e time and space, you exist in your purest form and state, for instance a physically challenged person on the physical plane will experience his/her Ego in the full form that we all do.
Your likes, dislikes, infirmities e.t.c., are earthly conditions and you are free of these in dream state. We say that as it is above, so it is below, whatever you wish to achieve on earth, you should first accomplish in spirit form (not the other way around). As a first step you should learn Lucid dreaming. I had something I think was a lucid dream. I was in a hallway and at the end of this hallway was a bright door. It was at this point I realized that it could not be real. As it dawned on me that I was dreaming, I became really afraid. I was so afraid that the only thing I could think of was how to get out of there and back to my body. Do you have any idea what is behind that door? I think it's something positive though but the fear was too great. |
