Airtel Data Plans n BIS is like trying to Eat Ur Chicken from Mr. Biggs lnside the Ultra Filty Gutters of Ajegunle.

So Airtel in Hindi Means, No Value For Ur Money Spent.

lrguru: Good day people, I received a text message from airtel ''GOOD news!!! You can now take up UNLIMITED Blackberry bundle for only N1,500 ONLY! Dial *440*16# to subscribe for 1 FULL month today!'', so I felt it was cheaper than my MTN so I decided to subscribe on tuesday mornin which was 18th june 2013, and received a message that read ''Dear subscriber, your current Airtel Unlimited Blackberry Monthly service expires on thu 18 Jul, 2013. To disable auto renewal, please send stopautorenew to 440'' .
It felt so cool having an unlimited data bundle, and thought of downloading enough movies on my BB felt good. To my suprise, by 6:55pm the next day which was 19 jun 2013, my BB stopped browsing and pinging, and I was surprised, cos i have not even downloaded up to 3-movies that were not even up to 150MB.

I called AIRTEL customer service, and tried explaining to the person thru the phone, before I say anythin about the unlimited data bundle not browsing, they will just hang up, it happened when I called up again, even to the fifth person. The one that even managed to talk with me said that I may have exhausted all the bundle, I was like Huh (in one day) tot it was unlimited? and even the normal 1gig that they do give for N1400 do last me over 3-weeks, how can unlimited data plan finish in just a little over 24-hours, or is the term unlimited redefined? Before i could say anything again, the guy said thanks for choosing AIRTEL, the best network...i said i'm not through with talkin, and he just hung up on me.

I tried callin them again and the same thing happened even to the 3rd person, no body is sayin anythin, and no body is helpin, not until one kind lady said she will work on it, and that was yesterday mornin, she said in 12-hours everythin will be fine, and its been over 24-hours now and still not browsing.

So brothers and sisters, please if u love your money and do no wish to be scammed, pls do not subscribe to any airtel crap, cos its all scam and 100percent fake, and to crown it all, their customer service is poor and they have no respect for their customers. I am through with that fake network, and to think i was about porting to airtel with my MTN, that would have been my greatest mistake. So please be warned, and if there is any way i can report this scam, i will do, cos this is too bad. Please spread the news, AIRTEL is a scam

2ruly, u made my day. Tecno is the best.

amAZEing: The market for Smartphones is an open ended and level playing field according to each OEM capacity.

As l post this at the supermarket right across my office l can see Mac Cleans; Closeup and several different brands of Toothpaste. Is left for the consumer to pick the one that suits him/her best.

Same goes for the different clubs and leagues in Europe. Chelsea, Man.U, Real M, Barca etc is all a matter of choice to the Fans and Viewers.

My dad can't foist his party on the entire family. Same goes for the Faith I want to practice. It's a personal decision I need to make.

And at school my teacher can only counsel me on.the different careers. I make the final decision not him.

In the matter pertaining to Tecno and Samsung with others like BB, Nokia etc.

TECNO is the ONLY CREDIBLE ALTERNATIVE in terms of Quality, Availability, After Sales Services and Performance.

Android Smartphones like the bestselling N3, N7 and the much awaited Phantom A1.

huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh

[quote author=bayooooooo]By ABEL DANIEL

The OMBATSE traditional prayer group of Eggon people of Nasarawa state has been described by other ethnic groups in the state as a militia group which is being linked with the crisis that has bedeviled the state in recent times. In this interview with Zachary Zamani Allumaga, our correspondent in Lafia, ABEL DANIEL seeks to unravel the secret behind the OMBATSE group and their activities.

The ombatse group has been linked by many to a militia group in Nasarawa state, how would you react to that?

When you find such violence involving Eggon people in the state particularly the southern senatorial zone of Nasarawa state, it means their population is very much. I want you to understand that violence is one of those things that is not acceptable to azhili. But putting azhili aside, all Eggon indigenes are not members of ombatse group .

As it is normal to find Christians and muslims in any society in Nigeria, the same applies to Eggon people in Nasarawa state who might be members of azhili. I don’t think if a Christian or a muslim is caught in any crime, then such Christian or muslim was sent or represents the church or the mosque? The same thing is what is happening. According to the Police, they have arrested over 19 suspects in connection with the recent Agharagu feud. Let them carefully carry out their investigation and tell us if any Eggon person who is involved will claim he is from ombatse or whether ombatse sent them to go and fight.

The reason why there is serious animosity against the ombatse group is simply because they are aware that we went to azhili and prayed for the political landscape of Nasarawa state to change for good, and indeed it changed. Our prayer is working. As 2015 is approaching, we are aware that some people are planning to ensure the Eggon nation is dislodged from the political landscape of the state, so they call us all kinds of names so that they can hang us. But I can assure you, we are prepared to pray to azhili with all legitimacy. Sooner or later, everything will come out clear.

What happened at Nasarawa Eggon leading to road blockage was also connected to the azhili as an attempt to cause crisis that would cause bloodshed…?

It was the German war General Joseph Govle of the German Nazi who said and I quote ”if you tell a lie and wants people to believe it as truth, all you will do is tell it several times”. These people who do not want us in the state have said so many things against us, that we are the ones fueling the entire crisis in Nasarawa state. Infact, right now, it is difficult for anyone to believe that we are not responsible for any of such things. What we keep telling people is that it is not possible for ombatse to engage in all that.

I think it is in this mistaken belief that the security agents heard and without proper investigation, just came and invaded the azhili shrine for the purposes of arresting one person according to them. Over forty security agents just invaded the shrine on that fateful day and shot sporadically for hours. Unfortunately for them, the god of azhili was there and no member of ombatse was hurt. It was the security agents themselves that secured the injuries and fled .

If we are a problem group or militia group as they tag us, those security agents who invaded our shrine would not have survived. But none of them was hurt or beaten by us. I assure you that we are a peaceful group. The security agents while trying to run away when they discovered they could not achieve their aims, left one of their operation vehicles and we did nothing to their van after all they did in our shrine. If any one was hurt by us, let them come out and tell the world. So how do you then link us to a militia group?

We on the other hand are giving God thanks for making it very safe for them to leave the shrine unhurt because it would have been difficult to explain to anybody. If it was in us to do harm as they accuse us, look at the distance from Alogani village to the express way, it is about eight km, and from Alogani village to the bottom of the mountain where the shrine is located is another two km. You can see how far they went into the interior. It would have been easy for us to ambush them if we are really a militia group.

The crowd you saw that day blocking the road at Nasarawa Eggon did not use even a single tyre or wood or any metal to block the road. The members just came out and stood on the road, and that was enough to block the road for four hours demanding the governor who is the chief security officer of the state to explain to us why our shrine should be invaded by armed security operatives.

What happened that day at the azhili shrine when the security operatives invaded us was reminiscent of what terrorists would do by using a suicide bomber to bomb a church. I can’t still imagine how armed security agents numbering forty invaded a shrine, shooting sporadically to kill. It brings doubt to our minds whether or not the security agents are the Boko Haram we hear about. And when they got to the shrine, what did they see to show that we are a militia group? When they got there, they ordered all of us to kneel down and we all obeyed as law abiding people. They even went ahead to use our microphones to make announcement. What did they see that makes us look like we are militia?

But why did you choose to return to the shrine after a very long time, don’t you think that might be the reason behind people linking your group to all crises in the state?

Well, something has to start at any time and now is the material time, and now is the time. Let me take you a little back to history. The invasion of the Europeans, Christianity and the Islamic jihad, all these influx changed the status quo. Our forefathers had their own way of worship which is the traditional way of worship before the influx. The coming of these foreigners infiltrated the place and consequently affected their style of worship. My father who is still alive practiced both the traditional religion and Christianity and he is still alive. I also have an uncle who is a muslim and at the same time practices the traditional religion. These have all tested the two divides. I am a confirmed communicant catholic and at the same time too, a traditional worshiper.

Now, what led to us bringing back this traditional worship to our people is because of the complaints we receive every now and then from our people about the evil and vices that have pervaded our society and our state. These things were not there according to what our fathers told us. The society used to be serene and orderly till the advent of the foreigners. Some of those societal ills include murder, theft, rumour mongering, secret society and witchcraft. Some of these evil were not there before now and even where they existed, there are quick ways of punishing people who were involved which was based on the azhili occult who through intercession, mediate between the people and the god of azhili.

One thing you need to know about this cult is that it has no form of moderation unlike what the Christians or muslim will tell you that God will punish anyone who commit atrocity and may be forgiven if they ask God for forgiveness or that God can allow them live until the judgment day, thereby allowing the offender to move about freely. Like other religions ,azhili was a place where people go to pray for prosperity, progress, success, good health and every good thing. Some elders from Eggon land have received instructions by one form of inspiration or the other to resort to azhili who can bring back sanity to the land again.

[b]We also discovered that some politicians from Eggon nation, the likes of Solomon Ewuga, now a serving Senator, who aspired to be governor of the state, was rigged out by Alh. Abdullahi Adamu, the first civilian governor during the PDP governorship primary election. As I am talking to you now the result of that primary election has not been declared apart from simply saying Abdullahi Adamu won it. Nobody has told anybody what margin he won with. As if that ww

huh huh? huh?

Biafra4tharmy: More facts have emerged on what led to the bloody clash between Nigeria’s military and the terrorist group, Boko Haram in Baga, Borno State that led to so many deaths two weeks ago.

Daily Sun authoritatively gathered from military sources that the terrorists, who had been using Niger Republic as their major base, sneaked into Baga in alarming numbers over some time and were trying to create a major base there preparatory to commencement of a round of deadly attacks in the state and Yobe. But for the timely intervention of the military, the terrorists, who were on the verge of procuring helicopters to add to their arsenal and commence aerial assault, would have destroyed the whole of Maiduguri, Damaturu and surrounding states, sources said.

Security sources told Daily Sun that apart from their intention to carry out more deadly attacks on Maiduguri, where they have made their stronghold, the terrorists had planned to launch attacks on commercial aircraft using their helicopter until they were taken unawares by the Nigerian military personnel there on internal security operation.

The military sources said they acted on very reliable intelligence from residents who had started noticing suspicious moves and faces in the area.

Apart from carrying out attacks in Maiduguri and its environs, the terrorists had also planned to attack other states using the helicopters to prove to the Nigerian military and also the federal government their superiority. Security reports indicated that even though the Joint Multi-National Task Force (JMNTF), which comprised the security operatives of Nigeria, Niger, Chad Cameroon, some other African countries and the other nations had not been so committed in the fight against terrorism as they had displayed lukewarm attitude to the mandate of the task force.

Operatives from some of the other nations who don’t feel much of the heat of the Boko Haram attacks were said to be the ones leaking security operations information to the terrorists, with a strong base in neighbouring Niger Republic.

As a result, they had access into Nigeria without hindrance and had turned Baga, a border territory with Lake Chad, into their armoury. The terrorists were said to have dumps their ammunitions at the least suspicious places in the town.

Daily Sun source noted that Boko Haram had been stockpiling in Baga enough armament to launch violent assault on the nation that they would have sustained for months if they had been spared to hatch their plans.

Some of the MNJTF operatives, according to Nigerian military officers battling the terrorists in the region were suspected to be providing security and shelter for the terrorists in their home countries and allowing them move freely into Nigeria, and sometimes undermine the strategies of the nation’s military to tackle the terrorists.

The terrorists were said to have concluded plans to commence aerial attack before they were intercepted. Right now, security had been beefed up around the border areas with a massive deployment of immigration officers to curtail movement of illegal aliens who were taking advantage of the porous borders to move into the country.

More troops had also been deployed to Baga and the locations around the border from the JTF to push the terrorists out of Nigeria’s territory and ensure they don’t return.

Politics › Re: Oritsejafor Returns As CAN President by Randerl: 11:42am On May 11, 2013
Great.

[quote author=I.Joan]By SAM EYOBOKA, Abuja

THE first Pentecostal cleric to be elected National President of the Christian Association, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor was Thursday night re-elected to pilot the affairs of the umbrella body of Christians in the country for a second term.

Declaring results of the CAN presidential elections at National Christian Centre, Abuja, the returning officer of a 5-member electoral committee, the executive Secretary of Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr. Kennedy Opara said incumbent president, Pastor Oritsejafor scored 80 votes while his only opponent, Rev. Oyekunle polled four ballots.

The 82 accredited delegates, aside from the two contestants, drawn from blocks out of the five that make up CAN had overwhelmingly opted for the Open Ballot system as they freely raised their hands in the full view of everybody to show the openness of the exercise.

https://d12nfihn4mbl66.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Oritsejafor10.jpg?119b56

This electoral victory marking the second of a 3-pronged exercise which was preceded by an award of “A True Servant of God” by Christian Elders Forum of Northern States, NOSCEF will however, be subject to ratification of the General Assembly of CAN scheduled for July 9, this year.

At the first election through an electoral college, the CAN helmsman despite recent spate of criticisms by even Christian leaders who are uncomfortable with his audacity and courage, polled 11 votes to his opponent’s one to pave the way for Thursday’s election at NEC meeting of CAN.

In what appeared to be an acceptance speech, the fearless and charismatic president thanked members of NEC who have given him another mandate to pilot the affairs of CAN for another term, promising that with their continued support, “together we will build a Church that will transform the nation.”

He again expressed concern about the menace of Fulani headsmen who he said are a part of an agenda to Islamise the nation, noting that essentially, cattle rearers are illiterates who have been schooled in the art of using sophisticated weapons including AK 47 and others.

He blamed greedy traditional rulers in parts of the South who collect cattle gifts and huge sums of money in exchange for farmlands in their domains which the Fulani use as bases for their nefarious activities including raping women, killing innocent indigenes while the traditional rulers look the other way.

Urging Christians to be extra vigilant about the activities of Fulani herdsmen, Oritsejafor said Christians are not against cattle rearing but Nigerians can no longer continue to accept crude methods of grazing cattle.

According to him, European and American citizens eat beef just as other nations of the world do, “but where in those nations do you find cattle on the highway? He maintained that their respective state governments should provide modern grazing grounds for their cattle rearers where they would stay and give their children proper education.

”They should take the cows back to where they came from while grazing their cattle in modern grazing grounds in their homesteads. If they want to be carrying assault weapons, they are at liberty to use same on themselves.”

WELCOME To Da New BlackBerry Reality Show.

Try loading like 20k per month. It will last.

halfcurrent: Can any one clarify me on the charging principle on the Blackberry Z10 plan?
I migrated recently from Blackberry Torch to the new Blackberry Z10 platform and ever since then my airtime hardly ever last, even though I paid and subscribed to the Blackberry service on Etisalat network.
Aside from the subscription, I often load credit on my phone to the tune of 3k and sometimes up to 5k. This hardly ever last more than one week even I rarely make calls.
I thought pinging is part of the weekly or monthly BB subscription.
I don’t understand, can some one please educate me on the billing principle, especially on Etisalat. Does this also apply to other network?

Get Tecno N3, the best in its category.

aze: Now to this-

if the network selling this phone was

1. MTN. No probs. Extortion is thier hallmark.

2. Airtel. Na to dey look them. After all the network is as worthless as a filty socks, in terms of data and voice.

3. Etisalat. No gbe ge. because l assume they thot we all have Oil Wells like them.

But it wasn't introduced into the market by the above three but a full blooded Nigerian owned network introduced

''A low specd smartphone powered by an ancient version of Google mobile OS''

Glo thought we have forgotten the BB 3gb fiasco. No instead of buying that FOOLISH Android Phone Glo, l will do these-

1. Buy the more advanced Infinix Race Bolt for 25k after adding 3k.

2. Buy 2 Tecno N3. 1 for me and the other my Broda.

OR
If l need a network branded Android smart phone l will go to any of the networks as follows-

1. Buy an Etisalat Gaga phone that has proper community support out there.

2. Walk into an MTN office and get the high specd Infinix Buzz X450 with Android 4.0 for 16k and stil keep 6k for mtn BIS downloads.

3. Sluggishly walk into an Airtel owned shop and get a Tecno N3 for 13k with 9k change in ma pocket. The Tecno has a better support and after sale service here in naija.

To hell with Glo.
luluosas: I recommend to you Glo Genious Android phone. It costs N17,600 and available from any Glo world shop closest to you.

Phones › Re: Mobile Number Portabilliry Starts Today by Randerl: 8:55pm On Apr 22, 2013
miqos02: THE much-awaited Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) number portability, which allows GSM subscribers to migrate from one network to another without changing their old number takes off today, bringing to an end months of experimentation to see the workability of the idea.

The migration, which will be at no cost to the subscriber, is expected to improve the service of the operators, as each service provider has to up its game with a bid to satisfying the subscribers.

According to the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), the gesture would eventually be extended to telecommunications subscribers on CDMA and fixed lines.

In preparing operators and subscribers for number portability, NCC had, last year, released guidelines for the planned introduction of number portability across networks.

The guidelines exempt subscribers from paying any fee that may be charged by telecoms operators, when they asked for number porting from one network to another.

According to the guidelines released on the website of the NCC, a service provider is responsible for maintaining appropriate records to satisfy the billing and audit requirements of Mobile Number Portability (MNP).

Services and traffic terminated to ported numbers on an individual recipient operator’s network must be charged the same as for traffic and services terminated to non-ported numbers of the same recipient operator. Neither recipient operators nor donor operators may make a charge to the customer for porting their numbers.

The exercise, according to the NCC, would address all the problems in the telecoms industry, while guaranteeing freedom of choice for subscribers, redefining competition in the industry and allowing subscribers to use only one phone while operating on the platform of their choice.

In line with the directive by the NCC, porting could only be undertaken by visiting the customer service offices or outlets, as the exercise would not be available through telephone, online or other electronic means.

Subscribers are equally advised against terminating their services with their existing service providers before initiating porting with new service providers.

While, according to NCC, there is a 90-day restriction for a porting before another one, subscribers to new service providers are mandated to bring identification cards, passports, driving licences or an officially validated photographic identity document and the working mobile numbers they wish to port into their new operators’ stores.

Meanwhile, Globacom and Airtel Nigeria have announced their readiness for the commencement of the porting exercise which begins across the country today.

Globacom, in a statement released in Lagos recently, said it was operationally and systemically set for the take-off the portability on its network, adding that it had completed the procurement and implementation of the network Signal Routing System (STP) and the porting process or gateway management system, which was the first to be commissioned in the country.

Airtel’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mr Segun Ogunsanya, while speaking with journalists in Lagos at the weekend, said the company was excited with the kick-off of MNP and assured that with the company’s robust and expanded 3.75g network coverage, many Nigerian subscribers who had waited so long to join the “best friends network” could finally exploit the new window offered by the MNP to realise their wishes.
