Politics / Re: Russian Military Chief: All-out Nuclear War Risks Have Grown by ranlaen: 8:58pm On Nov 18, 2011 |
tyson55:israel is not the problem.russia can probably erase israel from the face of the earth before israel can blink.russian anti missle system will handle the small nukes israel has. the issue is usa if they attack russia and russia attacks back then its game over for all of us ,thats why russia will not interfer nuclear wise in a iran- israel conflict peroid.if it was russia vs israel then i am sure russia will pretty much win with almost no damage using nukes. even using conventional weapons we saw what they are capable of doing by bringing the heavily equipped georgia by USA to its knees in a few days, couple of years ago. usa cannot contain afghanstan or iraq in nearly 10 years. |
Politics / Re: Pay Compensation Or Face Consequences, Fg Warns Ba, Virgin Atlantic by ranlaen: 8:43pm On Nov 18, 2011 |
so what of the high charges for fare other airlines charge.last time i tried to fly arik london to lagos it cost more then BA.there is klm, lufthansa etc. why target BA and virgin only if you suspect overpriced fares. also the inital row which was to do with heathrow slots is laughable that BA got punished.BA is not owned by BAA or the british government and listed on stock exchange. The action of BAA(which is NOT BA) has nothing to do with BA, and BA has no influence on slots but got punished for it. |
Business / Re: Nigeria Unlikely To Be Among 20 Best Economies In 2020? by ranlaen: 12:20pm On Nov 14, 2011 |
eGuerrilla: sorry if i sounded as if i was on your neck but such nigerian politicans annoy me with their made up data.angola which has plenty of recently discovered oil and whats considered one of the least corrupted government(at present.things in africa change quickly) still cannot claw out of the 148th slot of HDI yet we expect to do what in 8 years with an corrupt and clueless president like GEJ. If as i was a minister i would not even comment on such unattainable plans .crawl before you can walk and stop giving false hopes. |
Politics / Re: Open Letter To Mr President by ranlaen: 12:08pm On Nov 14, 2011 |
I will start with the subsidy. Mr President, while your proposal to remove the subsidy is commendable, because it will GIVE YOUsome much needed moneyTO STEAL , the timing is bad, because there are no options on ground right now to cushion the effects that the subsidy removal will have on the nation. Already there are speculations of a massive showdown if the proposal is carried out. To forestall mishap, i would like to propose that your removal of the subsidy be gradual as you put in place the much needed options that would cushion its effect on the masses.(refineries etc) These for now are my contributions Mr. President. God bless Nigeria OK i have corrected the letter now it can be sent. |
Business / Re: Nigeria Unlikely To Be Among 20 Best Economies In 2020? by ranlaen: 12:00pm On Nov 14, 2011 |
simply because in 8 years nigeria needs to move from 156th out of 187 countries to 25th.considering we moved back and forth from 150-158 over the last decade so virtually sand still i don't know what miracle you want. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_Human_Development_Index even in gpd which is a poorer way of to determine " best " economy which unlike HDI does not take in account cost of items, lif expectency, health care etc we are still 140th of 190. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)_per_capita so can you explain the miracle that will propel nigeria from the bottom 25% WORST countries to live in and economy to the best 25%.forget that stupid claim that we are number 41 .there not a single data to show that we are anything but in the bottom and even just living in nigeria you can see it for yourself.maybe in the oil minister or gej mind they are number 41 but i guess if i robbed the nation dry of billions i would also in my dream world think its amazing. |
Politics / Re: Is The North Incapable Of Producing Quality Leaders? by ranlaen: 11:50am On Nov 14, 2011 |
even as a southerner i still rather trust a northern ruler over someone from south. since 1999 we been basically ruled by southerners with a year or so of a northerner and look at the state of the country. |

Politics / Re: What If You Could Be The Nigerian President For A Week? by ranlaen: 7:22pm On Nov 11, 2011 |
there very little you can do in 1 week so all those shouting deal with boko haram and build roads etc are joking.you can only set the ball rolling and hope the next guy can continue it. i would issue the a presidental decree that allows me to arrest all ex - presidents and their ministers and have them investigated for stealing but then my week will expire and the next guy will probably just release them. |

Well about time too.if libyans can do it despite having good roads constant electricity and some of the most modern hospitals on earth i can't see why we nigerians cannot when we have terrible roads ,poor supply of electricity and hospitals that resembles those in 1960 movies . |
Politics / Re: Sahara Reporters - Are They Corrupt? by ranlaen: 2:38am On Nov 10, 2011 |
Beaf: is there any association between refinery in indonesia and this austrian newspaper that you keep mentioning it?if not then best keep quiet as it makes you look even less credible if thats possible ,if there is show us some evidence. |
Politics / Re: Sahara Reporters - Are They Corrupt? by ranlaen: 2:24am On Nov 10, 2011 |
whats wrong with free newspapers? most major cities in the world have that and are very credible newspapers like the metro of manchester.so i should believe beaf over this newspaper. you lost all credibility when you first claimed the picture of the newspaper was photoshop and not real.then when pointed to the website you attacked the newspaper itself. allison is that you sef ?go return our money or hell dey wait for you and your generations to come! |

Politics / Re: Can The North Stand Alone? by ranlaen: 1:25am On Nov 10, 2011 |
oil is not everything .oil + corruption + poor organisation = poverty. australia is regarded as one of the best countries to live in and it relies on agriculture and tourism. |
Politics / Re: Sahara Reporters - Are They Corrupt? by ranlaen: 1:05am On Nov 10, 2011 |
so we assume you don spent that $10 on garri go sit down or learn to surf the net and get the info directly from their website . |
Politics / Re: Sahara Reporters - Are They Corrupt? by ranlaen: 12:51am On Nov 10, 2011 |
its too late to hide this.return the $10 she gave you if you have not spent it on garri already. its on their offical website seen and translated by not just nigerian newspapers but ghanian and south african ones. in modern day you cannot hide the truth . |

Politics / Re: Allison Madueke Buys €20M Mansion In Vienna - Saharareporters by ranlaen: 12:37am On Nov 10, 2011 |
don't forget this is not the first time she has been exposed Madueke underwent investigation in 2008 for withdrawing US$263 million to pay contractors in December 2007. A parliamentary committee described the withdrawals as "hasty and lacking in transparency." She spoke out in favour of Goodluck Jonathan's assumption of presidential authority from Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, and was given the position of Minister of Petroleum Resources in Jonathan's new cabinet. http://www.africa-confidential.com/whos-who-profile/id/2760 |

Politics / Re: America Is Working To Destroy Nigeria by ranlaen: 12:29am On Nov 10, 2011 |
actually i am not sure usa wants nigeria to go into choas.you see unlike libya where gaddafi was opposing them and using home grown companies to tap his oil ,nigeria was bought and paid for long ago and they like the situation as it is. war will simply disrupt the oil supply and maybe put in a government that will not play ball with them.GEJ is well and truely singing their tune and doing all they want as it is ,so why change that. |
Politics / Re: Occupy Aso Rock by ranlaen: 12:24am On Nov 10, 2011 |
corrupt governments has killed 100000 times more people thru bad roads poor hospitals starvation etc then boko haram and i don't remember nigerians ever having the guts to do what you are asking for.so i highly doubt we see people doing it to protest boko haram. |
Politics / Re: Allison Madueke Buys €20M Mansion In Vienna - Saharareporters by ranlaen: 12:20am On Nov 10, 2011 |
kopite:this is why nigeria will forever remain a poor country where few steal all and rest live in poverty with no roads,no electricity no nothing.people like kopite are the reason his thieves keep stealing. |
