Good morning good people of this thread. Please, I need help, my bestselling gig has been under performing these past 2 weeks. Buyers barely contact me directly these days. During this period, I have gotten about 10 orders (I contacted some of my old customers and sent spam messages to some users) from this same gig and completed most of them but this has failed to improve my impressions, views, clicks and orders. I think my gig started doing poorly after I canceled an order

Please, what do I do? I have tried everything I know.

This is exactly what has been happening to my best selling gig since the last two weeks. I have done several troubleshooting to improve the impression, yet nothing seems to be working. At the moment, I'm only surviving on return buyers. Now, somebody suggest I should create a clone of the very gig. Fiverr will push it as new gig for buyers to see and if you are lucky, you might start getting orders since your rating and level remain the same. I will try it now. You can as well do the same.

Very touching, I had the same problem but I opened up to the client and he contacted customer service. I got part of the money through my payoneer account and closed all fake accounts. Just know this your days on Upwork are numbered. I was suspended for no reason but thankful for the experience. I still make money writing by directly sourcing for jobs.

How do you source for writing jobs directly without using any of the freelance platforms?

Like it's customary for me, whenever I see red flag, I'll always point out.

Please don't create any gig on review on Fiverr.

Search this thread and you will see people with review gig lamented of having their account disabled.

I have first hand evidence from one of them who is very close to me.

For the avoidance of doubt. I want to believe the review you are referring to is purely online reviews, as against gigs on writing of product review for blog posts.

on Sundays, it is always refreshed in the morning - Almost fixed time

I noticed lots of changes to Fiverr's rating system which is annoying and killing to the sellers.


1. When an order automatically marks as completed, your "orders completed" rating will drop

2. When you cancel an order whether on a mutual agreement or not - your orders completed rating drops

3. After a client has rated you, if you request for modification of rating and the client accepts, your formal rating (in this case - the stars) will still be showing the old but your positive rating will be upgraded to the recent rating.

4. No more %100 ratings for new comers. Your positive rating, orders completed and response rate are all at %0. You have to start afresh to build them.

5. A client will still be able to rate you even when the order has been cancelled (double wahala for the sellers)

6. Due to the fact that orders automatically marked as completed now counts as "orders not completed", %90 is no longer the red line for "orders completed ratings"

More of the anomalies will be added as I experience them.

I've observed it too.
One of my buyer mistakenly asked for a revision where there was none. We quickly stopped the process, yet it affected my "order complete" with some noticeable denting. I think they want to create a rigorous platform like upwork where new comers will find it difficult to survive. Sellers are always at the receiving end.

Shokey is now a fine man. Money is too good.

You may be right my brother. Sincerely, I have never experienced any problem with upwork apart from other guys' complains in recent times. Meanwhile, upwork did not for me. Fiverr did.

its clearly spelt out on my gig description , that I should be contacted before any order is placed , but some people just go ahead and order , fiverr should have an accept/decline offer like Upwork

Some buyers are psycho, I wrote it in capital letters that buyers should contact me before placing their order, yet some of them will still go ahead place the order, then disappear into thin air. I was forced to go to dispute yesterday to cancel one when he refused to respond to my request for cancellation. I think some people do it deliberately.

Boss calm down, you will get your money... don't be scared. Not all client review orders, some will come online without talking. Your order will be marked as completed after 3 days, you should only be scared if you deliver low quality work.

It wasn't my first order, but this is first time I will see someone who communicated well enough during the project, only to go mute immediately after the delivery. Surprisingly though, the guy left a 5 star review without ever responded to any of my chats. I thank you all for your responses.

If you're new to the system, which I guess you're, you can send a message to him: "hi, did you get the upload I left behind? What you you have to say to it?" He'll be forced to reply with what he thinks. For now, I don't bother to disturb my clients because if they drop a review after I delivered a job, Fine. Else, still fine. As long as they don't leave a bad review, no wahala
