I understand these, what I don't understand is how upwork system works. my employer had to go tho escrow.com to set up a milestone, I thought he just pays to up work, and up work releases the funds to me.
I was directed to escrow.com to agree to the terms set out by my employer, there I discovered that the only viable payment method for me is through direct transfer which would cost $40. Is that usual?

I've never secured work on upwork, so, I don't know how their milestone is. But i'm sure it can not be through another platform like escrow.com. Try mention the Gurus to call their attention to your rescue.

A milestone is jst what we call "part payment" here in 9ja, or maybe something close to dt.
A milestone simply means that, u'll NOT be paid d whole amount all at once. U'll be paid as d job progresses. Depending on d client, a client might divide a job into 4 milestones, this means d job will be done in four parts n u'll get paid after delivering each part of the project.
It also makes it easy for d client to monitor d project so he can reject any milestone and withhold d payment 4 dt milestone until he's satisfied with what u deliver.

Milestone is not a partpayment. Milestone is an escrow payment. A payment you made to a mutually trusted third party in advance for a service/supply you will need to affirm a satisfactory delivery before money is release to the serviceprovider or supplier.

If you've not been receiving mails at home and you've never seen post masters in your neighbourhood delivering mails, then, forget it. However you can visit the post office in your area before the due date to seek advice on what to do.

If you stays in Lagos and you normally receive mail in your house, then, you can have the care delivered to your house without the DHL option. I got mine delivered to my doorstep.

Of course, you may submmit your proposal.

But I'd suggest you take time to ensure you really understood the job brief before writing the proposal. And since you actually know what the job entails it might be better to go ahead and give the prospect a very specific LIST of the steps that need to be taken to complete the project, and the potential trouble-spots to avoid (just as though you're teaching someone how to do the job). This is better than just making an EMPTY promise (like everyone else) without verifiable proofs. It'd also make you stand out from the rest.

However, you must realize that some folks won't even look at a freelancer's proposal if it does not include a sample of his previous work. That's normal. So it should not discourage you if you're not taken. But make sure you submit at least one well written and very targetd proposal EACH DAY. You may also consider doing some dummy but well executed projects to feature on your portfolio as samples.

Today, I took a hopeless tour around Lagos seeking emergency healthcare in the public hospitals for my younger sibling. My younger brother was experiencing a serious bleeding resulting from protruding pile (haemaroid) he had kept to himself all these while. We took him to Ifako-Ijaiye General hospital. After long waiting, he was placed on emergency list but no capable hands to attend to him, we were referred to LASUTH Emergency Unit. At LASUTH, we were told there was no bedspace, then, we were referred to LUTH. LUTH's case was the worse, patients' medical records were being captured in the open ground in front of the emergency unit haphazardly. Then the same story of no bedspace surfaced again. We were adviced to use the spillover private bedspace. To my surprise, people were standing at the private unit with their money, yet no space. I went back to the doctor, he was confused, he could not tell me to go (whereelse after LUTH since the case requires expert's attention, patients could bleed to death if not well attended to), he could not tell us to wait because no hope of securing a space soon and he could not attend to him without a bedspace allocated. We left hopelessly heading for a private hospital where we are not even sure of adequate service but bedspace and attention. Well, God help us...

What is the recommended per hour billing on Upwork for writers. And I hope this does not mean one can't negotiate outside the stated value.

Mr, you are getting me really confused. Let me walk you through the process:
1. Login to kdp.amazon.com
2. At the top right hand side of the page, click on your account.
3. Scroll down to "Your Royalty Payments."
4. Click on "Edit".
5. A pop up page: "Edit Bank Account Information" opens
6. Do the following:
a. Choose US as bank location.
b. Enter your account name as it appears on Payoneer.
c. Choose "Checking" as account type.
d. Enter your Account number.
e. Enter your Routing number.
f. Enter your Bank name
g. Then save. That's all.

To get your payment information, login to your Payoneer account. Click on "Receive" then "US Payment Service." You'll find your US Payment Service Information there.

I'm not a financial expert but the little I know about banking is: once account number and routing number are required, that's an EFT transaction - direct bank deposit.

Routing Number: Set of numbers associated with a checking, savings or other bank account that associates a financial institution with the account. This number is used to determine where to route funds to or from. Any individuals seeking direct deposit from a company will typically have to provide a routing and account number.

Thanks for your response. Yes i'm a newbie. I have a Payoneer card. I saw the EFT option but the info requested does not tally with that of the card. They want a bank name with account no at the bottom of the check. Is it possible to change my payment option? Pls guide me.

Check? Nope! You don't need it. EFT - electronic fund transfer via Payoneer is the best option provided your money is up to $10, which is the minimum payout amount for EFT. If it's less, you will have to wait till it accumulates to $10.

You will be paid royalties from each market provided it is up to $10.

I stumbled on this tread yesterday. Got an account today. Someone should please help me provide answers to these questions. 1. Are they going to issue check for royalties earned from all the different marketplaces or the money will be totalled in one single check monthly? 2. Can I cash the check from any bank in Nigeria provided I have domi account with the bank or I have to specify? 3. Don't they accept Payoneer option?

This milestone of a thing. Is it during the PM discussion with employers that one make request for it? This is because the one on the bidding page do not gives room for adjustment from what FL have placed there.

No. Usually, the employer will request for more than one article. The employer will discuss the project details with whomever he wants to handle the project.

Please someone should enlighten me on bid pricing on FL. sometimes I see range between $75-$150 for articles of not more than 500words and bidders usually bid closed to the maximum. But my worry is, would someone pay as high as $75-$100 for just a 500words article?
