Science/Technology / Facebook Messenger Supports Multiple Accounts On Android by Raphoeworld: 8:20am On Feb 20, 2016
Today, Facebook released an update for the
support of multiple accounts on Android
version of Facebook Messenger with the
same features. By enabling multiple
accounts, users can use one phone for many
accounts making switching easy and fun. To
use this feature, go to the Settings menu
under Accounts and allow it.
Facebook says that this nice feature was
added to allow users to "share their phones
and tablets with members of their family and
friends." while their messages stay private.

"All over the world, hundreds of millions of
people share their phones and tablets with
members of their family and friends. At
Messenger, we want to make
communication simpler, more seamless and
secure, so we are happy that we have now
launched a feature on Android that enables
multiple people to log in and use
Messenger from a single, shared device.

A password is required the very first time a
multiple accounts is allowed on the app.
After that, the account holder can decide
whether or not a password is needed.
What do you think about this new feature?

Danish security firm Heimdal has discovered a particularly spiteful new piece of malicious software that can gain admin rights to a device and wreak subsequent havoc.

The Mazar malware has found with the capacity to obtained admin rights and takes full advantage of whatever it can infiltrate. It spread via SMS, make calls, read texts and delete the contents of an entire Android smartphone or tablet without warning. As at now, it is believe to be found only in Denmark, as the effect outside has yet to be established.

Mazar can have access mainly to devices where users have permitted untrusted app installations via Settings. So, if you have not allow this on your device then your device is safe from contacting the bug.

Interestingly, the malware cannot be installed on any device with Russian as its selected as its language and it has only be tested on Android 4.4 KitKat, so it's unknown whether Lollipop or the latest Marshmallow are susceptible.
