Hello fam. I have a question concerning the spelling of my name on my international passport. My full name is UDOCHUKWUKA, but I had it spelt as UDOKA (which is the short form in my tribe) on all my academic documents. The issue now is that, I spelt the full name, UDOCHUKWUKA, on my international passport. What could be done about this? Does the nmc recognise a costomary court affidavit? I'm about writing ielts, and I know I must use the same name on my passport. Thanks. I curiously anticipate your reply. |

Finally the waiting is Over!! The journey started WELL. We were on our MARK. We were all set to GO. The attacks started. STOP THEM budget made. Millions of dollars expended. Mostly on _______. Some on ‘’Garrage’’ fights. They said we must do test broadcast. We asked WHY. No its mandatory. We asked for how long. They said six months. We screamed foul but they own us and we are just a people. We later found out, they meant well. So we stayed. From October 1, we have sustained 259 staff in salaries with no single revenue. Operational cost HEAVY. We rolled out 43 TV channels for free. We gave 15,000 boxes for free. We made all channels FTA. Reports show almost 305,000 people watching daily. So many paid contents aired for free. Some expired in our Library. No revenues at all, but we have remained strong. We were called names. We were abused. Some called me fraud. We kept mute. We didn’t want to join issues. We were deflated by those that should protect us. People mocked me. I asked my GOD. He smiled back. He said do you believe LUKE 1:37. I said YES. My team said YES. Today, I am relieved. At last the six months is 9 days over. They have said GO. Today, I can proudly say we are GO. So let the count down begin. 10 days and we are boom….IT WAS FREE FOR SIX MONTHS I can’t wait to dance on the 1st. The waiting is finally OVER. God has CONFIRMED LUKE 1: 37. TSTV is now reality... Enugu State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Fintan Ekochin, has dismissed rumour making the rounds that there was a reported case of monkey pox in the state. The commissioner said Enugu State has surveillance team, a set of officers distributed across the 17 local government areas of the state, whose job is to look out for diseases that we overlook. Monkey-pox disease “They are on duty everyday, since last year, since Ebola, they are on duty. “They look out for yellow fever, lasava fever, Ebola, every kind of disease, including cholera, and they make report available immediately. So we have no reported outbreak of monkey pox in Enugu.” Ekochin stated that the defence mechanism in the state is surveillance, which he said is continuous through disease notification officers at the local government areas. “Again, we have the state epidemiologist who is a medical doctor in the Ministry of Health that coordinates all these people. So surveillance is steadily on which we do by ourselves or support from partners for advocacy whenever necessary,” said Ekochin He noted that there has been only one established and confirmed case of monkey-pox in Nigeria in Bayelsa State, saying: “All these other ones you are hearing about are suspected cases. There is only one confirmed case of monkey pox in Nigeria and surveillance is going but we have no confirmed case of monkey pox in Enugu State.” On the precautions against the disease, Ekochin advised people to maintain basic hygiene everywhere, at homes, offices and in handling animals as pets. He said: “Let me tell you, the so called monkey-pox is caused by a virus similar to chicken-pox. Who is afraid of chicken pox? It’s there, it comes in seasons, depending on whether and temperature, it affects the children. “So chicken-pox is a bigger thing to worry than monkey-pox. The virus that causes monkey-pox is very old. It’s an old disease, the last reported case was in the 70s. So it’s not a new disease that has made medical practitioners confused, no! “There is no vaccine for monkey-pox and there is no specific drug treatment. However, it runs a natural cause that in most cases is not fatal. There is nothing to fear about money-pox.” www.nursingworldnigeria.com/2017/10/no-monkey-pox-in-enugu-mdash-health-commissioner |

A year and a half after its launch, the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine is proving a real success story. As of 25 September 2017, the free online course had registered almost 25,000 users, with 1,200 of them having already obtained the certificate after successfully completing the 42 modules and quizzes. The initiative has triggered global interest attracting users from almost every corner of the world, with Egypt, the UK, India, Australia and the USA forming the five most represented countries. “This is possibly FIFA’s greatest medical achievement. Anyone from any part of the world who wants to have access to all the medical knowledge and experience that we have accumulated over the years just has to click a button,” said Chairman of the FIFA Medical Committee Dr Michel D’Hooghe. The first modules of the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine were launched in early 2016 and all 42 modules have been available since March 2017. FIFA’s objective is to improve the care of football players at all levels of the sport and to prevent some of the adverse effects of the game. The free online course is accessible to all and designed to be flexible. Users can visit a single page, complete individual modules or finish the entire course. “Our aim was to make football medicine accessible to all. It’s free, you don’t have to be a doctor and you can do as much as you need. On many topics, such as the handling of concussion or sudden cardiac arrest, we can have a much greater reach if everyone is aware, from the team doctor to the referee, to the coaches and even the general public,” said Dr Mark Fulcher, the editor of the diploma. Players share their experiences Each module is written by top international experts in their respective fields, sharing written content, podcasts and video examinations as well as providing links to journal articles and other resources. High-profile players also share their experiences of injury and what they learned through their recovery. The course covers a comprehensive list of football medicine topics, ranging from injury prevention to nutrition and mental health, and from the pre-competition medical assessment to the handling of specific injuries such as anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). “The feedback of users has been extremely positive. We conducted a survey among graduates and the overall comments underlined that it was a great deal, which offered excellent instruction quality,” stressed Fulcher. Given the increasing popular demand, the diploma will now be translated into Spanish and new features will be added to make it more interactive and serve the global sports medical community beyond the initial academic phase. The online platform will also include webinars, where practitioners will have the opportunity to contact their peers to ask for help and advice, as well as a blog to provide news about updated practices.
