Buhari does not know the meaning of blessing.

When a country is blessed they have jobs, power, fuel and above all a president.

How can we be blessed when we have nothing. When you are blessed you can feel it and see it.

I'm sorry Alhaji Buhari we are not blessed rather we are cursed because of you.

A widow, 62, fell into unconsciousness and eventually died shortly after a notice of demolition of her house located at Gbagyi villa in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State was served on her.

Although the widow, late Mrs Mary Audu was said to have been hypertensive before her death, the notice of the demolition of her house among about 3000 other houses marked for demolition in the area aggravated her situation, leading to her death.

The eldest son of the deceased, Simon Audu who narrated the situation to our correspondent when he visited their house at number 4 Yakowa close, gbagyi villa described the death of their mother as most unfortunate and painful.

According to him, “although our mother had high blood pressure, we had been managing the situation until when the 21-day-notice of demolition of our house among other houses was served on her, then she, all of a sudden, slumped into unconsciousness and died shortly.”

According to the report "President Muhamadu Buhari recently presented an ambitious budget to Nigeria’s parliament. At 30 Billion dollars, it is the highest Budget proposal in Nigeria’s history.

"Analysts think Buhari’s administration is attempting to spend its way out of recession by investing a huge chunk of the budget in infrastructure but he doesn’t have access to funds for that. The deficit stands at $5 billion for now but it could rise up to $15 as Buhari’s administration plans to spend billions on infrastructure and uplifting social service.

"Nigeria’s economy has been contracting consistently for more than a year – Rapidly falling oil prices taking a toll on the economy.Crude oil accounts for 90% of the country’s exports and 70% of its earnings.

"Development expert Jayi Gaskia thinks Nigeria needs the loans for immediate budgetary support but a major bailout could be imminent unless a resurgence in crude oil prices happens soon.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said on Saturday said that the 2016 budget was not padded because the total figure voted for all ministries had not exceeded N6.08 trillion.

Briefing newsmen in Lagos, he said: “The total for every ministry has remained exactly the same as what was submitted to the National Assembly. “A lot has been said about the budget.
Let make clear that nobody can ever accuse this government of padding any budget. “The total of all ministries put together has not exceeded N6.08 trillion that was submitted.

It is factually incorrect to say that the budget was padded. “This is the first time in the history of this country that a government will embark what is called zero based budget.
“Before now, the budget system was what was called an enveloped system.

In an envelope system, there is no justification as to why we need N30 billion for a structure.’’ “This year, we decide that every ministry must have a zero based budget.

In other word, you must justify and explain why you need N100 billion. “This is very good system, the soft ware for it was also very different. The personnel were not used to it,’’ “Now, in the process we got to National Assembly.

What the ministers do is to have a broad overview of the budget.
The template used by the Budget Office is uniform for all ministers.’’ The minister also said exports, balance of trade, Gross Domestic Product were responsible for currency appreciation and depreciation.

“Before now we use to sell crude for about 100 dollar per barrel which means if we produce two million barrels per day, you have something in the region of 200 million dollar less the expenditure of production and others.

“But today for the same two million barrels, you have less than 60 million dollar less the cost of production.’’ “Clearly if your major source of exchange is crude and it has gone down from 100 per cent, you have lost 70 per cent of your source.

“Secondly, if your balance of trade is surplus, in other word, if you export more than you import, then you are going to have less money to settle other countries. “What the government is doing is to ensure that the little resources we have are properly managed. Part of decision we took was Treasury Single Account. “Others include blocking all sort form of corruption and diversify economy so that we can get foreign exchange for other sources,’’ he said.

Ten months into his sleepwalking presidency,all that buhari is busy doing is attending parties outside and inside Nigeria and gate-crashing people's home like a confused burglar.

Respected former head of Nigeria’s Central Bank Lamido Sanusi has said the government should end its policy of trying to maintain the value of the currency, the naira.

Mr Sanusi said the drawbacks of the policy “far outweigh its dubious benefits”, the Financial Times reports.

President Muhammadu Buhari told the BBC last week that he was not convinced of the need to “murder” the naira.

The falling oil price has put pressure on his currency policy. The authorities are keeping the official naira rate at around 200 to the US dollar, but the black market rate is closer to 300.


“The government does not have the reserves to keep the exchange rate at its official level in the market,” Mr Sanusi told the Financial Times.

The policy has “never worked” wherever it has been tried, he added.

But Mr Buhari told the BBC that he is yet to be convinced that he should allow the currency to be devalued.

In an effort to sustain the policy, the government has imposed currency restrictions, and halted the importation of certain goods in order to stop dollars leaving the country.

Mr Sanusi was the central bank governor from 2009 to 2014, when he was suspended by then-President Goodluck Jonathan following a row over corruption in the oil sector.
