PoliticsDSS Wants Us Dead, Ekiti Lawmakers Cry Out To NBA, Amnesty Int’l by rapistbuhari(op): 5:37pm On Mar 21, 2016
Members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly have cried to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and Amnesty International over the refusal of the Department of State Services (DSS) to obey the court order directing the immediate release of a member of the state’s House of Assembly, representing Efon Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Akanni.

The lawmakers, who could not control their emotions while addressing the press, said it was obvious that the DSS wanted Hon. Akanni and some other members of the House dead so that they can be replaced by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, representing Efon Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Akanni.
Hon. Akanni, who was paraded before the press last week Thursday to debunk the rumour of his death was whisked away from the House of Assembly complex on March 4, 2016, during an invasion by armed men of the DSS and had been held in DSS custody in Abuja without access to his lawyers, doctors and family members.

On March 11, a Federal High Court in Ado-Ekiti ordered that Hon Akanni be released immediately or be brought to the court in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, but the DSS refused service of the court order when the Court Bailiff, Araromi Ademola went to the DSS office in Ado-Ekiti, prompting an order that the order be served through newspaper advertisement.
Despite publishing the order in a national daily, last Thursday as ordered by the court, the DSS claimed that it was yet to see the order. Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon Segun Adewumi; Chairmen House Committee on Information and Health, Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan and Hon. Samuel Omotoso respectively were at the NBA national headquarters and the Amnesty International office in Abuja to submit the petitions.

They also submitted copies of the court order, newspaper advertorial in which the order was published among other documents. They decried the silence of human rights activists, especially Ekiti State born, Mr Femi Falana (SAN), saying history will judge those keeping silent because of their political interests. The lawmakers, who addressed the press after submitting the petitions, raised the alarm over the health condition of the detained lawmaker, saying; “Hon. Akanni said on Thursday, when he was paraded before the press that he slumped twice and no medication was given to him even when he asked for drugs.” Omotoso said:
“Since it is now obvious that they cannot coerce us into impeaching our governor and leader, Ayodele Fayose, it appears that these people are now working on a sinister theory of snuffing life out of Hon Akanni and some of us so as to pave way for the conduct of bye-election through which they hope to rig APC members into the House of Assembly.

“We have therefore come here to alert the NBA and the Amnesty International of this blatant disregard for orders of our courts by the DSS and infringement on the fundamental rights of our members, especially Hon Akanni, who is dying in detention. “We are putting the entire world on alert that should anything untoward happen to Hon Akanni, who is being detained without access to his doctors despite being terribly sick and any of us, the DSS and by extension, the federal government should be held responsible.”

Buhari is just getting to know that power situation isn't a joke. Very laughable.

I don't understand why Nigeria has been inflicted with diseased leaders like Buhari; a brain dead Quota system retired Army Major General/ a coup plotter who was tolerated by Obasanjo as a petroleum minister despite his incompetence.

He will surely deny ever making any pledge to add 2000 MW to the national grid by year end as always.

So the mronic junketeer now hopes to increase power from 1500 to 3500MW and later 2000MW, when he met it at 5000MW, so what has changed?
Even to maintain what he met on ground has now become an achievement.

Useless brainless demonic president. ‎

PoliticsPower Situation In Nigeria No Longer Laughing Matter – Buhari by rapistbuhari(op): 4:01pm On Mar 21, 2016
ABUJA – President Mohammadu Buhari on Monday woke up to the realities of epileptic power supply in Nigeria, saying that the situation was no longer funny.
Should the situation persisits, the president said it would seriously affect the change agenda of the present administration. The president said his administration must do everything necessary to increase power generation and distribution from its present status of about 1,500 to 3,500 megawatts with additional 2000 before the end of the year as a way of halting the ripple effect effects on the economy.

But giving high hopes on the power sector, the president stated that before his government winds up in 2019, he would achieve a historic 10,000 megawatts of electricity. The promise was contained in a keynote address which he presented at the opening ceremony of a two day summit of the National Economic Council, NEC, in Abuja.
The president who noted the theme of the summit: Nigerian States: Multiple Centers of Prosperity was apt, had identified five key areas such agriculture, power, manufacturing, housing and healthcare as challenges the Council must prioritize. President Buhari also expressed misgivings over the privatization of the power sector in the country, saying that the process was more profit oriented than a thing of public interest. He stated that the sector was yet to show the gains of the privatization Programme as quality of service was still in a sorry state.

But being an ongoing process, the president said that it must be completed. He said: “Nigerians’ favourite talking point and butt of jokes is the power situation in our country. But, ladies and gentlemen, it is no longer a laughing matter. We must and by the grace of God we will put things right. In the three years left for this administration we have given ourselves the target of ten thousand megawatts distributable power.
In 2016 alone, we intend to add two thousand megawatts to the national grid.

“This sector has been privatized but has yet to show any improvement in the quality of service. Common public complaints are: Constant power cuts destroying economic activity and affecting quality of life, High electricity bills despite power cuts, Low supply of gas to power plants due to vandalization by terrorists, Obsolete power distribution equipment such as transformers, Power fluctuations, which damage manufacturing equipment and household appliances, Low voltage which cannot run industrial machinery. “These are some of the problems, which defied successive governments. In our determination to change we must and will, insha Allah, put a stop to power shortages. “Key points to look at here are: Privatization. We are facing the classic dilemma of privatization: Public interest Vs Profit Motive.

Having started, we must complete the process. But National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), the regulatory authority, has a vital job to ensure consumers get value for money and over-all public interest is safe-guarded. “Government to fast-track completion of pipelines from Gas points to power stations and provide more security to protect gas and oil pipelines. “Power companies should be encouraged to replace obsolete equipment and improve the quality of service and technicians.”

On housing, president Buhari said that there was housing deficit in Nigeria. According to him, the plan by his party, the All progressives Congress, APC to build 250 housing units might not be realized. He said: “Some estimates put Nigeria’s housing deficit at about sixteen million units. In our successful campaign to win the general elections last year our party, the APC, promised to build a million housing units a year. This will turn out to be a very tall order unless: “The Federal Government builds two hundred and fifty thousand units.

The 22 APC States together manage another two hundred and fifty thousand units. “We invite foreign investors together with local domiciled big construction companies to enter into commercial housing building to pick up the rest.” The president also noted that “Severe shortage of housing, High rents, Unaffordable prices for prospective buyers especially middle and low-income earners”, in addition to “red tape, corruption and plain public service inefficiency lead to long delays in obtaining ownership of title documents”, amongst others were the huddles faced in actualizing meaningful housing scheme for all.

President Buhari while speaking health as prerequisite for economic development, revealed that a whooping sum of $1 billion was been spent by Nigerians for medical treatment abroad on Healy basis. He said “In my inauguration speech last May, I remarked that the whole field of Medicare in our country needed government attention. Dirty hospitals! (Few sights are more upsetting than a dirty hospital), inadequate equipment, poorly trained nursing staff, overcrowding.

Sokoto – The Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has appealed to all Nigerians, irrespective of religious, ethnic and political differences to work diligently towards sustaining Nigeria’s hard-won unity.

The monarch told newsmen in Sokoto on Saturday that Nigerians should set aside their diverse backgrounds to work toward in ensuring that the country remains indivisible. ” It is one Nigeria and forever it will be one Nigeria, with all of us the citizens as one.
” I am an advocate of peace and we as traditional rulers from across the country would sustain the royal fraternities,” he averred.

According to the monarch, there was the need for all traditional rulers in the nation to sustain routine visits to their counterparts from other parts of the country. Doing so, the royal father said, would foster more harmonious relationship, peace, unity and socio-economic prosperity of Nigeria.
Ooni, Ojaja II, further expressed confidence in the Nigerian project, saying that the nation would forever be on the march to everlasting greatness. He also stressed that the amalgamation of the country in 1914 was never a mistake.

The Ooni further urged traditional rulers in the country as those closer to the people to always work together in the interest of their people and the nation. The monarch also underscored the importance of the youths across the country, saying that they formed the majority of the population. The Ooni stressed the need for the youths to be meaningfully employed to curb the menace of youth restiveness and insecurity.

Have you all noticed that the activities and the wickedness of Fulani herdsmen have increased exponentially since Buhari took over as the president? Why? Because their grand patron is the commander in chief.

Buhari and his herdsmen know the satanic agenda they are pursuing.
The only deceived people are those who have been blinded by their blind praises and worships of Buhari who is deceiving them with his vindictive fight against corruption and his chanji which is systematically destroying them.

Can somebody interpret the inscription on the flag given to Buhari at the Abuja islamic conference for ushuh

Buhari is fulfilling his campaign promise of converting and making Nigeria an Islamic State, his disciple El-Rufei, Governor of Kaduna has banned Christian broadcast and preaching for the entire Islamic Northern states.

Nigerians eyes are now open to see that Buhari is in government to enrich his Fulani and also spread sharia laws in Nigeria, he doesn't care about what happen to the economy or the masses.....

I believe Buhari must have met the leader of ISIS on one of his trips to the middle east and the only way to realize the Islamasation of Nigeria is by empowering the herdsmen to invade community and kill innocent people, then take over their lands.

PoliticsPain, Confusion As Lawless Fulani Herdsmen Take Over BRT Lane-vanguard by rapistbuhari(op): 3:00pm On Mar 19, 2016
As the nation appears to be helpless on the activities of the Fulani herdsmen, causing incessant clashes and killings in several rural and semi urban areas, Lagos is having its own share of this misdemeanour, as they take their cattle through the Bus Rapid Transport, BRT lane along Ikorodu road, Lagos, constituting traffic hazards to motorists, BRT buses and other road users.

Last week, several cow and their herdsmen were spotted on the Ajegunle axis, and a few days ago, they were also spotted at the Itowolo axis blocking traffic flow on the BRT corridor.
We gathered that the timely intervention of the Kick Against Indiscipline, KAI officials saved the situation. Reacting to the development, members of the House of Assembly took turn to condemn the act and calling for drastic action to taken against the herdsmen.

In a motion moved by the Majority leader Sanai Agunbiade, he noted that cattle rearers now take to BRT lanes which has no grass to graze for their cattle, between Owode Onirin and Mile 12 at noon. Agunbiade said “Surprisingly I saw some Fulani herdsmen taking their cattle on Bus Rapid Transit, BRT, lane in Ikorodu around 10pm and someone on internet shared a picture of same act along Mile12/ Owode Onirin also in Ikorodu in broad day.”
He also stated that there was the need to call the attention of the government and relevant agencies, particularly, the BRT monitoring team to put an end to this ugly development. Hon. Wahab Jimoh who represents Apapa Constituency I reiterated that the Fulani are also grazing at Mobil Road in Apapa and they are also slaughtering cows in an unauthorized places in the area. “There is the need to use the necessary law to penalize them.”

Meanwhile the House resolved to call on the Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode to direct necessary agencies to enforce the state traffic law that will check the movement of cows particularly on the BRT lane, while, Commissioner for Information and Strategy should intensify awareness campaign in Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo languages on movement of cows on our major roads, as well as using only authorized abattoirs in the state.
