When I heard the claim that a Nigerian earning ₦60,000 is somehow "better off" than a Master's degree holder in the UK earning £2,600 as a care worker, I had only one reaction: either the speaker has completely lost touch with the realities ordinary Nigerians face, or he assumes Nigerians no longer know how to think for themselves. I have lived both realities. Yes, the first few months in the UK are not easy. You search for accommodation, jobs, understand the transport system, adapt to a new culture, and learn mountains of paperwork. Nobody denies that. But once you settle, the comparison with everyday life in Nigeria becomes painfully obvious. In the UK, I ride my bicycle to work at 2 a.m. Sometimes I take an Uber at 2 a.m., and within minutes it is at my door. I have never been harassed by the police. Nobody has tried to extort me. Nobody has kidnapped me. My wallet and phone have never disappeared. My employer pays me for every hour I work. If I cannot work, I notify them in advance. If my train is delayed, I can even claim compensation. That is what functioning institutions look like. As an international student, I am limited to working only 20 hours per week. Even with that restriction, I earn around £1,200–£1,400 monthly. Out of that, I pay: £400 for rent. About £300 toward my remaining tuition. Around £60–£80 on transport. Roughly £150 for food and personal expenses. After everything, I still have money left. Every month I send about £250 home to support my family and my mother. Within just five months of arriving in the UK, I paid all four of my children's school fees—over ₦420,000—in one payment. Do you know what hurts? I could never do that while working as a senior staff member in a respected accounting firm in Nigeria. I usually had to spread school fees over two months because the economy simply would not allow otherwise. For around £20, I can buy rice, chicken, onions, tomatoes, bread, bananas, milk, and drinks. What Daniel Bwala, the double mouth speaker did not say is that there is both food security, no settled UK resident think about basic food, water, electricity and school fees for his children. And there is security of lives and properties here. Bwala did not mentioned that most of those Nigerian care worker drive either brand new car or clean used car on well maintained roads. As a student I do minimum wage jobs, I work in aldi and some DHL at Teeside as warehouse operative with other oyibo. At these two places, more than 90% of the worker including those on my level pull in to work with clean vehicle including the range rover most of us used to think it is only for the high and mighty. I once went for a school assistant job; an a Nigerian lady who came for kitchen job came in in mercedes benz C-class, new model. I dont think Daniel Bwala will claim he does know about this. The worst enemy Nigerians have are their evil politicians who migrates their families abroad and keep deceiving those at home, Bwala inclusive. A full-time care worker earning around £680 - £1000 a week can, after paying living expenses, still save half this amount of money . Convert those savings into naira and compare them with someone surviving on ₦60,000 per month. The mathematics is not complicated. The issue is not whether care work is glamorous. Honest work deserves dignity everywhere. The issue is whether a Nigerian worker can earn enough to live with dignity, support a family, save money, and plan for the future. Millions of Nigerians are not leaving because they hate Nigeria. They are leaving because they are exhausted by insecurity, unemployment, erratic electricity, collapsing infrastructure, poor healthcare, police harassment, and leaders who often appear more interested in defending failure than fixing it. Instead of mocking Nigerians who left, ask why so many continue to leave despite the emotional pain of being separated from their families. A nation where citizens can work hard, obey the law, and still struggle to survive should not be giving lectures to those who found opportunities elsewhere. Leadership is measured by improving people's lives—not by making speeches that ignore their lived experiences. Nigerians deserve better than political sound bites. They deserve a country where staying is as attractive as leaving. |
Daniel Bwala is suffering seriously because of his deceitful life and he urgently need to see a therapist https://www.nairaland.com/8707724/dear-daniel-bwala-nigerians-dont#139995407 |

Obi won last election squarely if not for INEC abracadabra, so APC knows this. That is the reason for all the political arsenal directed at him. For them in APC, Atiku is not a real threat to them. |

OLUENTA1:As you rightly said there is a road construction going on and the excavator was digging deep for water channel. The excavator just finished the side of the mosque before the Moslem faithfuls entered for prayer and within minutes the mosque collapsed. In the first place the mosque was built encroaching the street road being rebuilt, second the mosque was a downstairs before being converted to upstairs and as Nigeria, you know how sentiments cloud our rationality in term of safety standards Thirdly if the worshippers has exercise a little patience today and allow the excavator to finish its work, we could not have lost lives today especially those of innocent children praying on the top floor of the building |

Naijaboy18:Meaning that ONLY Yorubas hate Obi. No one else does. ONLY Yorubas think about Obi all day |
Chionso Uba will be the Achilles heel of Hope Uzodinma. If Uzodinma like let him pick all the women in Umunoha (same town with Chinonso) or Mbaitoli as his deputy it will not stop his political downfall. Soon Hope and his evil cronies will understand why the millions of bats fly to Igwekala forest every night and return back to Orlu early in the morning. Let him ask the elders of Omuma whom he is holding captives. |
Philistine:You are neither OBIdient nor PO supporter . You are among the planted moles going about the internet making inciting statements |

@Easyguru, if you are in Lagos, pls find your way to ASPAMDA, and locate Andykaros shop and get original shock for car but you have to check that car very well in case other suspension parts are contributing in killing your shockabsorber |
So you people in apc and pdp believe that you are the one with pvc while others do not have. Talk of self delusionary syndrome |
Beware of their evil propaganda against Peter Obi by enemies of the people.
